RAW Takes a Breather Before Directing Us to BackLash...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Just a Spring day in Los Angeles over here. Well, there are a few things to toss around. It’s all WWE related but that’s my focus. Should be no surprise. Let’s not waste any time and get into it, shall we? So first, we have some speculations. To start, there’s been talk that Bayley may be thinking of pulling a Sasha Banks and head over to Japan but those may be false alarms. Other reports attribute her recent social media talk to be storyline related. We shouldn’t be reading too much into it. Same goes for the second set of speculations revolving around Drew McIntyre. There’s talk that his contract is up soon and that there has yet to be an agreement. Many think this is why McIntyre has been absent but word going around is that he’s either injured or sick. Don’t know whether that’s just code for “mind your business” but I don’t think we should worry too much about McIntyre leaving WWE. Not sure he’d really work anywhere else. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s another Friday and there isn’t all that much going on in the Wrestling World, but enough to have a brief chat about a few things so, let’s see what’s floating around. First, let us congratulate Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews/Murphy on their engagement. Looks like Matthews intends to make an honest woman of Ripley and thankfully for him, Ripley doesn’t seem to mind. I’ve got nothing but Mazel Tov to say to them. I wish the couple the happiest of nuptials. Perhaps this can pave the way to Matthews returning to WWE in the future but for now, let’s just wish them well. The next item of interest is that there are rumors going around that Nia Jax is training for a return to the ring. Whether that will be a WWE ring has yet to be confirmed, though. There are some commenters that are bemoaning a possible WWE return but I don’t think that many people are against it. RAW Commences Fallout - SummerSlam 2023

What’s Going On, Enthusiasts? Everything going good for you? Well, SummerSlam has come and went and though it wasn’t their best PPV/PLE, I wouldn’t exactly call it bad. I just think some matches didn’t work but the intent to cleanly execute was there. Things just didn’t come together as hoped. We got some Industry news to go over too so, let’s jump into it. So, a couple of things before diving into SummerSlam. Word is going around that WWE may have already signed Brian Pillman, Jr. Reports circling the trades are saying that Pillman has been seen at the Performance Center and that he’s set for a NXT taping. Again, I know too little about him to fully comment but from what I see going around, Pillman could use some direction. We’ll see if WWE is the right next step. Also, going around is that Logan Paul made it to see his brother Jake in action against Nate Diaz later Saturday evening. Happy Royal Rumble, Enthusiasts! So, this will be a fairly short post because the Royal Rumble appears to be just that this year, The Rumble. I’m thinking it opens with the Women and closes with the Men with the Title Matches sandwiching the Pitch Black match. I like the “to the point” approach. Let’s hope it all works out. So, given there is and isn’t a lot to talk about, I’ll keep this post simple. For the Women’s Rumble, I couldn’t even begin to think who wins because it all depends on who wins the RAW Women’s Title. If Bianca Belair retains, it all depends on who makes a believable opponent. Alexa Bliss is only a contender due to “Crazy” being on her side so, I don’t know how long that lasts. As much as we don’t mind suspending a little disbelief, we will only go so far. On top of that, we like a fight! So, it’s hard to get jazzed for a fight with someone who’s 90lbs unless you’re a fan or both parties are waifs. So, I guess if Bliss wins, we can maybe expect Liv

What’s Up, Enthusiasts! This is going to be a short post because, if I’m being honest, I don’t really have much to say this SummerSlam. It’s not that it’s not an exciting time or I'm not looking forward to the show if anything, that’s why. I’m excited for the show and don’t really have any match favorites or matches of interest. I’m just not lying to you. I just want to sit back and watch the show. However, I will say it sounds like Kid Rock’s performance will be the designated bathroom break of the evening. A lot of commenters on social media and elsewhere aren’t feeling Rock and feel he’s an out-of-date performer choice. I can understand that. Yet, I think he’s done performances for WWE before so, I don’t blame them for going to an old standard. He probably won’t be as bad as that Hardy performance so, at least it should be palatable to some extent. In any case, I suggest enjoying yourselves today. WrestleMania 39 - Day 1 - Matches of Interest

A Good WrestleMania to You, Enthusiasts! Welcome to Day 1. So, for those who are unfamiliar, I have the habit of commenting on my matches of interest come PPV time and this one is no different. I keep it to 3 due to my own fleeting attention span. This is an interesting time. Being in Los Angeles, there’s added pressure to put on a good show, especially with talk of a sale. This is as good a time as any to show the world what WWE has got. We’ll see if their pitch hits the mark. To start, the first match that has my attention is Austin Theory vs. John Cena, The Past vs. The Future. This should be a fun go-round. I don’t expect Cena to win but if Theory wins, how he does so will be telling. Ultimately, though Theory is certainly talented and fun to watch, his youth is the biggest hurdle. We just aren’t gonna cater to some kid. So, if he wins, it’ll be to boos. That brings the question of good or bad boos. The good boos tend to be ones that we’re meant to make. How WWE h

How’s Everyone Doing? It’s completely understandable if you still don’t know how to feel. Life can throw a mean curveball and a person just has to take some time to digest the implications and associated emotions. Take your time. There’s no real rush. However, in Sports Entertainment, the show must go on and so it shall. We’ll start with the Realm of AEW as CM Punk is CM Punking as his new locker room foe appears to be Jack Perry. Rumor has it that there was a kerfuffle that wasn’t backstage at their PPV, All In, this past weekend that had Punk landing Perry in a chokehold but the story keeps changing so it’s hard to say what provoked the showdown and all that. Again, personally, the frequency of the tiffs seems too unprofessional for me so I still feel these are “shot works” so to speak. Works meant to seem real is another way of thinking about it. Word currently is that both Punk and Perry have been suspended while an investigation is conducted. So, yet again, Punk may have to take

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How is it going for everyone? Good? Hanging in there? It’s all you can do, right? Well, there’s some things to talk about today. Shall we just dive right into it? So, the first bit of news that has the grapevine buzzing is that Cash Wheeler of AEW’s Tag Team, FTR is facing legal repercussions for brandishing a gun during a road rage incident that occurred last month. Bad timing, as FTR is on the card for the next PPV, All In, coming up at the end of the month. As of now, the legal implications do not interfere with Wheeler’s ability to travel but it has to be admitted this isn’t the greatest look. We’ll see if AEW feels the need to make any changes given these circumstances. In the WWE Universe, we have have come to realize that Lacey Evans has parted ways with the company. Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How is everyone? Just want to welcome all those who stopped by recently. Apparently, I do pretty well in Europe. It’s probably misleading. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Hope everything is well. We're drying out over here in Southern California but fortunately, my area didn't lose power so it's more or less business as usual. So, there’s a whole lot of the usual going around so, this shouldn’t be a long post. Let’s just run it down, shall we? New speculations are flying about CM Punk and whomever rubs him the wrong way. This is the main reason I can’t really take it seriously. If this was in the real world, this would simply be unprofessional. Doesn’t mean ridiculous shit doesn’t happen in the workplace but we’re more encouraged to squash it in real time. Punk would have outed himself the “troublemaker” if this was in a typical 9am-5pm setup. That said, I’m doubling down on this all being fodder for feuding and hope this eventually all gets settled in the ring be it on any of their shows or a PPV.
