SmackDown Keeps the Pot Simmering for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! So, there are some grumblings in the Wrestling World but they don’t concern me much. Yet, that doesn’t mean I don’t have some things to talk about. I’ll try to keep it short but I may ramble a bit. Excuse me in advance. Let’s get to it, shall we?   We’ll spend a little time in the Realm of AEW as I had to check in on the progress of the Future. But before we get into that, I saw that Dante Martin was action so, I took a look at how he’s doing.   I called him out as an up-and-coming prospect a while back but then he got that gnarly foot injury and I wasn’t sure how he would recover. Thankfully, it seems he’s back to his high-flying ways but he was in a 6-Man-Tag against the likes of the Young Bucks or rather the Brothers Jackson and some other gentleman. I don’t recall who was on his team.   However, with talent like Martin’s, I couldn’t help but think, “Why isn’t he up against guys like Ricochet or even tha...

RAW Keeps Us Going at a Good Pace for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   The rains continue in Southern California. Looks like it’ll be spotty throughout the week. We’ll see if it affects my schedule. In the meantime, the Wrestling World is kinda quiet so this should be quick. Not gonna lie and act like I’m more interested than I am. If it piques my interest, it piques my interest.   The Realm of AEW appears to be doing its thing smoothly so, no need to comment as of now. The Future is Bright and on its way. So, let’s go straight to the WWE Universe.   On tonight’s RAW, The “Last Time Is Now” Tournament continues and it looks like we’ll get another “surprise”. We got Zack Ryder aka Matt Cardona last week on SmackDown and though it was back to jobbing, he looked good. He gave LA Knight a run for his money and then did what he was paid to do. Tonight, it’s Solo Sikoa who gets to wait with bated breath to see who he faces.   As for the rest of the action, we can anticipate Heel Nikki Bella taki...

SmackDown Keeps Us on Track for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s a rainy one in Southern California. Given the time of year, it’s a good time to stay nice and snuggly inside. I’ve been making the most of it πŸ˜‰ As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things going on but nothing setting the world on fire. We’ll get into a bit of it but this shouldn’t be a long post. Not that much to talk about but enough for a brief chat. Let’s get started, shall we?   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as they had their Blood & Guts event on Dynamite this week. All I cared about was the main event so, I checked that out. Well, I just hope everyone has their immunizations up to date because this stuff is a mess . So, I didn’t care for the “gore” but my focus, as always, is on the progression of the Future and I see that we’re getting there slowly but surely. As it should be.   Jon Moxley has been operating with some humility as one would think he’d be the final entrant, but he let PAC have the honors...

RAW Does Double Duty for John Cena & Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   A Merry Monday to you! So, there’s not much to speak of so far. There are a few continuations from last week but it’s generally a slow wrestling news day so, this should be short but we’ll see. I know I can start to ramble. Given that, shall we just get to it? Let’s dive in.   The Realm of AEW seems to be doing fine as they’re preparing for their Blood & Guts event that’s to be held this week. It looks like Jon Moxley will have to watch from the sidelines as who I’ve been playfully calling “Krista’s Dad” aka Roderick Strong took him out with some help from Mox’s new bane of existence, Darby Allin.   Strong gets the monicker because he looks like someone’s dad. I wouldn’t look at him and say he’s a wrestler, but Krista’s Dad for sure πŸ˜‰ I don’t know if he has kids but he has that look certainly. He’s a solid wrestler though, I’ve noticed.   This turn of events is likely to result in some retribution so, Wednesday Nig...

SmackDown Clears the Way for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Friday? Getting used to the time change, if it applies? Can’t say this is the most exciting end of the week but some beneficial changes are pending on the horizon for me so, can’t really complain.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things going on but we’ll only touch on one issue because I keep seeing it pop up but besides that, it should be a short post. So, without further ado, let’s get to it.   As many of you may have already heard, Ridge Holland now going by his real name, Luke Menzies, has got himself fired from WWE. Word is that he bad-mouthed them on social media and the response was to be expected. Unfortunately for him, the timing couldn’t be worse. On top of that, he suffered an injury working a TNA show and may have to get neck fusion surgery. Worst case, the man is out of action for about 2 years with a family to feed and house.   The dire circumstances have forced Menzies to resort...

SmackDown Helps Wrap Up October...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another Friday and I hope it’s a good one for you. There’s not much to report in the Wrestling World and it’s pretty quiet in the WWE Universe so, it should be a short post for the most part but there is some Fallout in the Realm of AEW so, we’ll talk a little about that but that’s about it. Ready to hash it out? Let’s go.   It was business as usual in the Realm of AEW for as much as I could tell. Darby Allin appears emboldened having won the “I Quit” Match and Jon Moxley, well…there appears to be some “regrets”. This disappointment seemed to spill out during his match with Kyle O’Reilly. Having shown that he is human, O’Reilly was not intimidated and was able to lock Moxley up enough to make him feel the only recourse was to take out the referee rather than tap. The brazen act caused the benches to clear and to me, that was the first clear indication of what is to come. My friends, the Future has Begun.   Expect things to r...

RAW Sets the November Schedule...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to Monday. Another day, another dollar as They say. We have a couple things to chat about as AEW had their WrestleDream PPV last weekend. The WWE Universe grumblings are minimal in comparison at present though we have some things to kick around. That should keep this post at a decent length so, let’s get into it, shall we? Here we go.   So, the highly anticipated “I Quit” Match between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley closed things out for WrestleDream as it could go for hours and hours given how these 2 were talking. Thankfully, it was about 35 minutes but I would say for the most part it was well-executed. Moxley was honest in how he was going to wear Allin down as he gave him plenty and then let the Death Riders get their hits in. Then he half drowned him in an aquarium before Sting made a cameo to “stop the nonsense” to give Allin the edge and win.   My only notes are that I feel Allin has to do more in these kinds of match...

Survivor Series / War Games - RAW Fallout 2024

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   How’s it feel to be back in the swing of things? That’s for my stateside readers. For the international ones, a merry Monday to you. I hope you had a good one. Mine was busy, naturally. Everything picking back up from where we left off. As for the Wrestling World, we had a fine Survivor Series this past weekend so, without any further ado, let’s do a brief review.   Some people always gripe but I found this year’s Survivor Series was a very solid show. Sure, there were some hokey moments here and there but that comes with the territory. As far as the IWC is concerned, Match of the Night went to the Bloodline Civil War / War Games. CM Punk proved his worth but coming out and showing us how we’re supposed to go at this. Sure, it’s for play-play but it’s a competition nonetheless. Nothing wrong with some gnashed teeth. The Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat took silver with the Ladies’ War Games closing out the podium with bronze. ...

Survivor Series / War Games 2024 - Matches of Interest...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s another Survivor Series and I have to say I’m a little more excited than in previous years. The card is looking good and there’s good hype/momentum going in. It’s been a while since there’s been proper set up. It’s all very promising. Never would have thought to see it in my lifetime. Was sure I’d be talking shit forever. In any case, it’s a short card so here are the matches I’ll be especially looking forward to. So, we’ll start with the Ladies’ War Game because they’ve been stirring it up for the past couple weeks. They’re all very capable women so I can’t even begin to speak on who may win. I get the feeling it won’t exactly be clean but I’m anticipating some wiliness. Someone will be caught out and a technicality exploited. I don’t really care how or who as long as it’s entertaining so all the Ladies really have to do is watch against trying too hard. I think if they just go out and have fun, they’ll have a respectable evening.  Next match of i...

SmackDown Places the Final Touches for Survivor Series / War Games....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? For those who celebrated, did you enjoy Thanksgiving? Have to say that it was all that it should have been for my set, food, family and friends. It was a successful evening if I may say so myself. Given the holiday vibes, this post will be brief but we can kick around a few things. Let’s get to it. So, we’ll skip the Realm of AEW this week as they appear to be laying the foundation for bigger and better things for the time being and so we’ll leave them to it. As for the WWE Universe, there appears to be a few things going on. It is Go-Home week despite the holiday. Cody Rhodes got some visibility as he was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this week. Fallon is a WWE affiliation as he tends to always welcome its stars on the show. Looks like it was Rhodes’ turn this time. He managed to get some digs on Kevin Owens while promoting this weekend’s PPV.  On the grapevine, there’s word that the plan for bringing Drew McIntyre back to the fold is ...

SmackDown Fallout - Survivor Series

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How are you? Doing well, I hope. Well, I love the new vibe of WWE. It feels like we can have some real fun with it now. And in the background, rumors of AEW’s issues waft through. It’s an interesting time in the Industry. Very interesting. So, CM Punk reintroduced himself to the WWE populous and many were, meh about his promo. I thought it was solid. It was to the point and inspiring to the point of all the potential the future holds. I don’t mind his cantankerousness. I’m glad I get to see what all the talk was about, even if he’s “old” now πŸ˜‰ Word is that a feud with Roman Reigns is already in the works and that kinda goes without saying given Paul Heyman is in the mix. They’re gonna give that man a “heart attack.” I’m ready for it! Seth Rollins has to be in it too and who knows…I kinda wouldn’t be surprised if something starts with LA Knight because of the whole, rocking the mic thing. I would wait until Punk is full Heel for that though. One would t...
