Survivor Series / War Games - RAW Fallout 2024

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   How’s it feel to be back in the swing of things? That’s for my stateside readers. For the international ones, a merry Monday to you. I hope you had a good one. Mine was busy, naturally. Everything picking back up from where we left off. As for the Wrestling World, we had a fine Survivor Series this past weekend so, without any further ado, let’s do a brief review.   Some people always gripe but I found this year’s Survivor Series was a very solid show. Sure, there were some hokey moments here and there but that comes with the territory. As far as the IWC is concerned, Match of the Night went to the Bloodline Civil War / War Games. CM Punk proved his worth but coming out and showing us how we’re supposed to go at this. Sure, it’s for play-play but it’s a competition nonetheless. Nothing wrong with some gnashed teeth. The Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat took silver with the Ladies’ War Games closing out the podium with bronze. ...

Survivor Series / War Games 2024 - Matches of Interest...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s another Survivor Series and I have to say I’m a little more excited than in previous years. The card is looking good and there’s good hype/momentum going in. It’s been a while since there’s been proper set up. It’s all very promising. Never would have thought to see it in my lifetime. Was sure I’d be talking shit forever. In any case, it’s a short card so here are the matches I’ll be especially looking forward to. So, we’ll start with the Ladies’ War Game because they’ve been stirring it up for the past couple weeks. They’re all very capable women so I can’t even begin to speak on who may win. I get the feeling it won’t exactly be clean but I’m anticipating some wiliness. Someone will be caught out and a technicality exploited. I don’t really care how or who as long as it’s entertaining so all the Ladies really have to do is watch against trying too hard. I think if they just go out and have fun, they’ll have a respectable evening.  Next match of i...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? For those who celebrated, did you enjoy Thanksgiving? Have to say that it was all that it should have been for my set, food, family and friends. It was a successful evening if I may say so myself. Given the holiday vibes, this post will be brief but we can kick around a few things. Let’s get to it. So, we’ll skip the Realm of AEW this week as they appear to be laying the foundation for bigger and better things for the time being and so we’ll leave them to it. As for the WWE Universe, there appears to be a few things going on. It is Go-Home week despite the holiday. Cody Rhodes got some visibility as he was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon this week. Fallon is a WWE affiliation as he tends to always welcome its stars on the show. Looks like it was Rhodes’ turn this time. He managed to get some digs on Kevin Owens while promoting this weekend’s PPV.  On the grapevine, there’s word that the plan for bringing Drew McIntyre back to the fold is ...

SmackDown Fallout - Survivor Series

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How are you? Doing well, I hope. Well, I love the new vibe of WWE. It feels like we can have some real fun with it now. And in the background, rumors of AEW’s issues waft through. It’s an interesting time in the Industry. Very interesting. So, CM Punk reintroduced himself to the WWE populous and many were, meh about his promo. I thought it was solid. It was to the point and inspiring to the point of all the potential the future holds. I don’t mind his cantankerousness. I’m glad I get to see what all the talk was about, even if he’s “old” now 😉 Word is that a feud with Roman Reigns is already in the works and that kinda goes without saying given Paul Heyman is in the mix. They’re gonna give that man a “heart attack.” I’m ready for it! Seth Rollins has to be in it too and who knows…I kinda wouldn’t be surprised if something starts with LA Knight because of the whole, rocking the mic thing. I would wait until Punk is full Heel for that though. One would t...

RAW Fallout - Survivor Series....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Still reeling from Saturday night? Well, I won’t say that I was that surprised at CM Punk’s return but I do commend the fake out. I was saying that if they do it, they would want to keep it a secret so all that “Naw, don’t want him…” talk was all on purpose. We were disinformed so that the magic could happen. Don’t have a problem with it. You have to admit it wouldn’t have been half as fun if it was known from the start.   Regardless, general consensus is that the Ladies’ War Games was Match of the Night but I have to say it was great seeing Randy Orton stroll in when he was good and ready. Classic Orton, if you ask me. And to close out the night we have Drew McIntyre marching out in a huff before the surprise drops and Seth Rollins remembering he never liked Mr. Brooks to begin with. It’s all for the drama in my opinion and all as it should be as well if you get how the game is played. The future looks very promising.   Well, to...

Survivor Series - Matches of Interest

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts!     It’s Survivor Series and, to be honest, the card is looking pretty light . So, either the War Games matches are planned to be epic or there are some surprises scheduled. I won’t speculate . Many will be anticipating a CM Punk drop and if not that, the fallout from him not showing. I won’t be heartbroken if he doesn’t show but I get the feeling he will sooner than later.     In any case, since there’s not much on this card, I only have 2 matches of interest. The first of which is GUNTHER v. The Miz. This is interesting because Technically , the Miz is due a Championship run. He’s had a few in the past but he should be more than just a jobber. Yet, how realistic is it that he actually wins ? And then, where to go from there? Is this just a pathway to get a title on LA Knight? Is GUNTHER going to make a play for the HeavyWeight or Undisputed Title?     Here’s where it gets interesting. Though I respect Gunther as a p...
