Crown Jewel-Perth ─ RAW Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another Monday and I get to enjoy the old schedule for a moment. I should be back to it full time come November but for now, I’ll take in a little nostalgia.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things to talk about but I’ll be sticking to the obvious for the time being. Shall we get started? Let’s.   So, in the Realm of AEW Darby Allin and Jon Moxley appear to understand the assignment as Allin continues to take it to Mox as he crashed a panel at the New York Comic-Con to rough Mox up. Well, it looked like Allin got a lot of that but you know what I mean. He’s not afraid of Mox! Which is the right way to proceed.   Yet, if I’m Mox, I’m treating Allin like a cat. Given he’s 45lbs., Mox should be grabbing for the scruff and trying to “put him outside”. I know Orange Cassidy is more inherently cat-like but Allin is just skinny enough to manhandle so that’s what Mox should be doing. Completely “disrespecting” ...

WrestlePalooza I - RAW Fallout....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Did you go ahead and get ESPN to watch WrestlePalooza? Well, you didn’t miss much if you didn’t. I have to agree with the general consensus that for all the hype it was a very okay show. No one was surprised that Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky took Match of the Night but everything else well, it was polished for the most part but kinda what WWE does. So, they have to sit with themselves and think about it if they don’t like the response. They do this sort of thing.   I say that because I basically had them read right but just got the matches they’d pull the trigger on the Face(s) wrong. I figured John Cena would be given the win over Brock Lesnar but it looks like they decided to give the W to AJ Lee and CM Punk. I knew if 1 got the win, the other probably wouldn’t and I was right.   And on top of that, it looks like they probably would have gotten a better response if they had gone my way as many were gearing up to cheer Cena on h...

Clash in Paris 2025 - Smackdown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! So, the Wrestling World has a few things going on. Many of us are “getting our arms twisted” with having to pick up the ESPN app. I’ll probably breakdown next week but I got to see where I can streamline first. Probably going to let Peacock go but we’ll see if it can be saved. It does have some decent content outside of WWE. Yet, I digress. Let’s get into this week’s action. In the Realm of AEW all seems to be going nicely as Darby Allin appears to have put all 45 pounds of himself into becoming a one man wrecking machine against the Riders of Death. He dragged off “The Hooligan”, Gabe Kidd in a body bag hitched to the back of a truck so he means to make an example of anyone he can get his hands on. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley has his eye on recruiting the “naive” Daniel Garcia. Not sure he’s the type to break but stranger things have happened. All in all, this is great for the Future because currently no one has eyes on it which is absolutely perfe...

Clash in Paris 2025 - RAW Fallout

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Did you catch Clash in Paris? Honestly, I’m glad I went in blind. It was a solid show. Nothing anyone needed to see but at the same time, not exactly a waste of time. I liked the main event the most but the Match of the Night went to John Cena vs. Logan Paul. Paul is better than you’d like to give him credit for and he’s accepting Heel-dom well so, we’re going to start loving to hate him. We’re also going to have to get used to Lord Seth Rollins and Lady Becky Lynch acting more as a cohesive unit. With her intervention in the Fatal-4-Way, sources online are stating that she’s now a member of The Vision. Always thought that was a given but if there was any wonder, there it is.   All in all, I wasn’t disappointed with the show. It didn’t need my full attention but it did leave some interesting hints for the Future. The show opened with Roman Reigns and closed with Lynch and Rollins which leads me to think that the seeds are taking root. We ...

SummerSlam 2025 - SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s a mixed bag of a week, isn’t it? Some stuff to consider generally speaking. The Wrestling World is more or less quiet but there are some changes coming down the pike that will certainly force us to think about what’s worth spending money on. We’ll get in to that in a little bit but let’s have our little chat. We’ll make a stop in the Realm of AEW as we didn’t so much get glances at the Future but we did see how the present is moving along. The Riders of Death are still messing with people. Mike “Speedball” Bailey had to do what he had to, to survive against Jon Moxley and though he took the L, he was impressive. He’s got Babyface written all over him so I didn’t mind the uphill battle he tried to climb. It wasn’t exactly fair but we all know it’s not gonna be. That’s why Darby Allin had to throw some action in. That kid has been growing on me and his latest stunt continues to lead me to give him consideration. He “kidnapped” an interfering Wheeler Yuta...

MITB 2025 - RAW Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Monday? I’m making the most of it. I took it off for some personal reasons. Got some stuff I have to tend to but it’s not so much that I can’t keep up with what’s going on. There’s a lot of chatter on the social media but it seems more than ever that most of it’s suspect but we’ve got some talking points anyway, so why don’t we just dive in, hmm? Here we go.   So, Money in the Bank has come and went. The highlight was the return of R-Truth or of Mr. Ron Killings as it appears we’re meant to now call him. The question of the hour seems to be how much of this was a work. Was the release a complete orchestration or was this an organic reversal due to fan pushback?   It's hard to say. I’d say that the timing of his release is a bit suspect. You could say that his match with John Cena was supposed to be the last hurrah but seeing how Killings was used just before the release, you’d think that if it was always intended, K...

BackLash 2025 - RAW Fallout...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? How’d you like BackLash? I liked it! It was solid from start to finish. I’m like most and thought the opening Fatal-4-Way was the most fun though the main event brought me around in the end. I feel everyone should generally feel good about this show. It was respectfully executed and set us up well for Money in the Bank. Never thought I’d see the day but it’s all starting to come together. As for my Matches of Interest, I think my sentiments were validated for the most part. Lyra Valkyria became the endearing victim in a win followed by a beatdown from Lady Becky Lynch. Pat McAfee “kept it real” and basically warmed up and went for it against GUNTHER but kept it gutsy with some help from Michael Cole. Cole was an unexpected ingredient to this showdown as he spoke out against Gunther infringing upon their journalistic integrity and right to Freedom of Speech. A little social commentary getting sprinkled in, if you ask me πŸ˜‰ I figured this was set up for...

WrestleMania 41 - SmackDown Fallout

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! Well, there isn’t a great deal going on in the Wrestling World this week, but there’s enough to chat about. You up for it? Let’s get to it. We’ll take a brief stop in the Realm of AEW as the rapper, Master P, stopped by to issue Jon Moxley some “love taps” while Samoa Joe proceeded to proclaim his new focus on claiming the Title. Swerve Strickland was close by as well. Is this the end of the Death Riders? To be honest, it looks like it’s just “the beginning”. There must be ups and downs to make this all compelling. This is all to rev up what’s next or at least, it should be. So far, a 6.5 isn’t looking too bad on Mox and that’s good. He’s going to have to hover here for a while but I doubt it will be boring. Let it all cook, as the kids say πŸ˜‰ In the Land of Free Agency, more or less, Bishop Dyer fka Baron Corbin has some choice words for WWE Brass for switching out Bayley for WrestleMania. I could sympathize because Bayley is solid and deserv...

WrestleMania 41 - RAW Fallout

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   WrestleMania is over and we now come to terms with the new “reality”. Iyo Sky succeeded. Cody Rhodes failed and it looks like Rusev has returned along with Becky Lynch. It’s a lot to consider. Let’s take a moment to break it down and digest.   Though, most fans enjoyed Day 2 on the whole many didn’t care for the finish of Travis Scott coming in and clearing the way for Cena to win. It wasn’t quite as cut and dry as it sounds but the end result was what it was.   Personally, I didn’t really mind it. Cena was all business out there and looked poised to end things on his terms. Rhodes hung in there but we kinda knew the odds would be stacked against him, we just didn’t know in what way. Scott coming in to fudge the outcome did make things a bit anticlimactic but that was the problem with the whole set up from the get-go.   This is why I would have preferred Cena to be more blatantly Heel as opposed to “Anti-Face”. This ques...

Elimination Chamber 2025 - RAW Fallout

Image
A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!   My goodness!  Well, as you know there’s plenty to talk about and we’ll get into it. This past Elimination Chamber was by far the best one I’ve ever seen but it leaves us all wondering. What is a WWE Universe with a Heel John Cena? The argument can be made that this was always the case but if so, how do they make operating with the “lifted veil” palatable? It looks like we’re about to see. Let’s not waste any more time and just get to it.   Though the impossible/inevitable happened, most would say that the Unsanctioned Match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was Match of the Night. I wouldn’t deny it but I have to say the Men’s Elimination Chamber is what held the bulk of my interest.   I thought it was cleanly executed and truly presented who our “characters” are. Say what you will, CM Punk is an “Anti-Face”. He won’t bend to the Corporate Will, but he will make them money. Seth Rollins continues to hold old grudges. ...
