WrestleMania XL - SmackDown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! So, the wake of WrestleMania has left a few things to talk about. Again, it’s nothing too shocking but it does give us something to chat about for a few minutes. Are you up for it? Let’s break it all down. For the most part, AEW has been making the headlines with the posting of the backstage fight between Jack Perry and CM Punk. I didn’t bother to see it for myself because I’m not sure what it proves at this point. AEW does get the ratings bump but that’s about it. Most commentators feel this was a odd move but given the ratings increase, most can also see that Tony Khan probably got what he wanted, some eyes on the product.  Personally, this whole ordeal didn’t really grab me. I’m not sure what’s going on over at AEW but its “green” status seems to be what’s at cause most here. It’s a young company with a young CEO. There are going to be bouts of immaturity and insecurity by default. To me, that’s all this is. Khan will learn the hard way. In this particul

WrestleMania XL - RAW Fallout

What’s Going On, Enthusiasts!   WrestleMania XL is over and the landscape has changed. The Reign of Roman Reigns is no more. Same goes for Seth Rollins as the Heavyweight Champion. GUNTHER has to find something else to do and so does Iyo Sky. The Men’s Tag Team Titles have been split and I’m not sure where the Ladies’ stand. I don’t believe it was contested. So…what happens now? Well, that’s what Fallout is for.   Before we contemplate the future, let’s talk a little bit about last night. Not too many surprises, to be honest, as Titles changing hands and Damian Priest “cashing in” was all anticipated. I enjoyed Day 2 more on the whole but both Day 1 and 2 had satisfying conclusions. I thought that there would be more hijinks in the main event, though. It was no surprise that the Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa jumped in at the end but that giving way to John Cena and then The UnderTaker were nice touches.   Why I never got the UnderTaker was kinda exemplified last night because I

SmackDown Closes the Books on Elimination Chamber...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! Are you enjoying it? Meh, I’ve had worse, that’s for sure. Gotta make sure something gets done is all but for the most part, can’t complain. But, let me take a moment and say hello to all the aficionados from Singapore dropping in. I don’t know what adult site I’m popping up on but I appreciate the traffic.  I actually have spent a few hours in Singapore in my youth. While I was in college, I studied abroad in Japan and during Spring Break I went to Thailand and had a layover there. I was with friends and I remember having a good time, for waiting for a flight. We wandered around and napped. In any case, welcome! There’s not much but I hope you enjoy what you find. As for the Wrestling World, there’s not much going on but a few things caught my eye. Shall we have a brief chat on these matters? Let’s. Well, AEW seems to be having a tough time giving itself some sense of direction. Some of the old WWE problems appear to be cropping up as talent are showing up

Elimination Chamber is Over! RAW Shows Us the Fallout....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s a lightly rainy night in Southern California and the Elimination Chamber has come and gone. It was one of the finer ones if not the best I’ve ever seen. I fast-forwarded through the Kick-Off Show so I missed the Women’s Tag Team match but I caught everything else. I think we got some character development this PPV. We know our players a little better now. Shall we get into the implications? Maybe just a little.   So, general consensus is that the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match was Match of the Night. Personally, I preferred the Men’s Tag Team Match. Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne gave us a preview of the future, just as they were supposed to, and it’s looking quite bright. In the meantime, Finn Bálor and Damian Priest secured some street-cred and came off like a pair you don’t want to mess with. I found it satisfying.   We also got confirmation that AJ Styles is now in Yosemite Sam mode as he can’t stand the friggin-fraggin, no-good likes o

SmackDown Finalizes the Royal Rumble...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s everything going? It’s a good one for me. Got some good things coming down the pike. Can’t say the sentiment is so hopeful in the WWE Universe but I suppose the healing can now begin. Let’s get into what’s going on. Well, it’s hard to get away from the scandal hovering over WWE. Word is that the Feds are looking into it now. More to see if anyone was skirting the financials. Deals like these can’t be on company books so I’m sure there looking for any criminal action on the fiscal accounting of these unsavory affairs.  It doesn’t look good. I won’t lie. And I’m not sure what happens from here. Yet, at the same time, I feel those who were uninvolved need to focus on just that. One can’t help the faults of others. That doesn’t stop the business from being a billion dollar company and the best in the industry. I figure it’s best to focus on that. But I will touch on that in light of all these scandalous allegations that there is a call to “omit” Mr. Vince M

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Still reeling from Saturday night? Well, I won’t say that I was that surprised at CM Punk’s return but I do commend the fake out. I was saying that if they do it, they would want to keep it a secret so all that “Naw, don’t want him…” talk was all on purpose. We were disinformed so that the magic could happen. Don’t have a problem with it. You have to admit it wouldn’t have been half as fun if it was known from the start.   Regardless, general consensus is that the Ladies’ War Games was Match of the Night but I have to say it was great seeing Randy Orton stroll in when he was good and ready. Classic Orton, if you ask me. And to close out the night we have Drew McIntyre marching out in a huff before the surprise drops and Seth Rollins remembering he never liked Mr. Brooks to begin with. It’s all for the drama in my opinion and all as it should be as well if you get how the game is played. The future looks very promising.   Well, tonight we get t

SmackDown Fallout - Crown Jewel V (2023)

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! Is this a good Friday for you? I’ve had better but I’ve also had worse so the complaints will be minimal. So, there are few morsels to dance on the palette today. Let’s see how they sit. The first bit of business is a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to Carmella and Corey Graves for welcoming their first child, a beautiful baby boy! What really stands out is that it took Carmella 60 hours of labor to achieve the feat. Good God, girl! Nevertheless, the new, happy family are doing well and I’m sure Carmella will be resting for the rest of the year. Enjoy the blessed early Christmas present.  In other news, there are reports that The Rock a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson has been approached by a few factions about running for president. Oi, given recent years and with Donald Trump hovering around the docket, I’m not sure this is a good idea. It just makes America more like Idiocracy if we go through with it, especially if he does so with no real experience in the political arena

RAW Fallout - Crown Jewel V (2023)

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Did you get a chance to watch Crown Jewel? I thought it was fun. It was far more cohesive than previous shows and definitely felt less like an exhibition and more like a typical PLE/PPV, which I would call progress.  Most are saying that Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins was the match of the night. I think Sami Zayn stealing the MITB Briefcase at the end was what I liked about it but, to be honest, I preferred the main event. All the buzz with LA Knight and Roman Reigns made it an enjoyable way to end the night and both gentlemen appeared to have fun with it, which is always nice to see.  I would say that any LA Knight fans should calm themselves and prepare for a showdown with Logan Paul. Taking the US Title off of him I think is a good start for Knight. Though Paul is holding his own out there, he’s playing a dorky heel and those are perfect pickings for the likes of Knight. No one would mind that Title change and Knight officially gets on the map. Everyo

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Everything all right? Can’t say that I have much to complain about. There are few things but…they should get resolved shortly. In the meantime, we have a few things to chat about. Let’s get into it. So, for what it’s worth, WWE considered taking CM Punk back and then passed on it, according to recent reports which I find a little surprising. So much so, that I wouldn’t be surprised if this was some disinformation.  I say this because the best way to get the most out of Punk returning to the WWE fray is that it’s a surprise. At this rate, everyone would know before it happened. You saw how Edge going over to AEW worked. No one was surprised. Everyone was saying it was gonna happen ‘cause WWE didn’t have much for him. So, might as well jump ship. When it comes to Punk, making this a “big deal” is what’s key so, if they don’t bring him back for Survivor Series, they may keep him in wait for WrestleMania, maybe the Royal Rumble but I think they want us to move

SmackDown Concludes Fallout - SummerSlam 2023

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s another Friday and there isn’t all that much going on in the Wrestling World, but enough to have a brief chat about a few things so, let’s see what’s floating around. First, let us congratulate Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews/Murphy on their engagement. Looks like Matthews intends to make an honest woman of Ripley and thankfully for him, Ripley doesn’t seem to mind. I’ve got nothing but Mazel Tov to say to them. I wish the couple the happiest of nuptials. Perhaps this can pave the way to Matthews returning to WWE in the future but for now, let’s just wish them well. The next item of interest is that there are rumors going around that Nia Jax is training for a return to the ring. Whether that will be a WWE ring has yet to be confirmed, though. There are some commenters that are bemoaning a possible WWE return but I don’t think that many people are against it. She has the bad rap of injuring wrestlers but I always thought she was just doing her job.  She’
