BackLash 2025 - RAW Fallout...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? How’d you like BackLash? I liked it! It was solid from start to finish. I’m like most and thought the opening Fatal-4-Way was the most fun though the main event brought me around in the end. I feel everyone should generally feel good about this show. It was respectfully executed and set us up well for Money in the Bank. Never thought I’d see the day but it’s all starting to come together. As for my Matches of Interest, I think my sentiments were validated for the most part. Lyra Valkyria became the endearing victim in a win followed by a beatdown from Lady Becky Lynch. Pat McAfee “kept it real” and basically warmed up and went for it against GUNTHER but kept it gutsy with some help from Michael Cole. Cole was an unexpected ingredient to this showdown as he spoke out against Gunther infringing upon their journalistic integrity and right to Freedom of Speech. A little social commentary getting sprinkled in, if you ask me 😉 I figured this was set up for...

WrestleMania 41 - SmackDown Fallout

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! Well, there isn’t a great deal going on in the Wrestling World this week, but there’s enough to chat about. You up for it? Let’s get to it. We’ll take a brief stop in the Realm of AEW as the rapper, Master P, stopped by to issue Jon Moxley some “love taps” while Samoa Joe proceeded to proclaim his new focus on claiming the Title. Swerve Strickland was close by as well. Is this the end of the Death Riders? To be honest, it looks like it’s just “the beginning”. There must be ups and downs to make this all compelling. This is all to rev up what’s next or at least, it should be. So far, a 6.5 isn’t looking too bad on Mox and that’s good. He’s going to have to hover here for a while but I doubt it will be boring. Let it all cook, as the kids say 😉 In the Land of Free Agency, more or less, Bishop Dyer fka Baron Corbin has some choice words for WWE Brass for switching out Bayley for WrestleMania. I could sympathize because Bayley is solid and deserv...

WrestleMania 41 - RAW Fallout

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   WrestleMania is over and we now come to terms with the new “reality”. Iyo Sky succeeded. Cody Rhodes failed and it looks like Rusev has returned along with Becky Lynch. It’s a lot to consider. Let’s take a moment to break it down and digest.   Though, most fans enjoyed Day 2 on the whole many didn’t care for the finish of Travis Scott coming in and clearing the way for Cena to win. It wasn’t quite as cut and dry as it sounds but the end result was what it was.   Personally, I didn’t really mind it. Cena was all business out there and looked poised to end things on his terms. Rhodes hung in there but we kinda knew the odds would be stacked against him, we just didn’t know in what way. Scott coming in to fudge the outcome did make things a bit anticlimactic but that was the problem with the whole set up from the get-go.   This is why I would have preferred Cena to be more blatantly Heel as opposed to “Anti-Face”. This ques...

Elimination Chamber 2025 - RAW Fallout

Image
A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!   My goodness!  Well, as you know there’s plenty to talk about and we’ll get into it. This past Elimination Chamber was by far the best one I’ve ever seen but it leaves us all wondering. What is a WWE Universe with a Heel John Cena? The argument can be made that this was always the case but if so, how do they make operating with the “lifted veil” palatable? It looks like we’re about to see. Let’s not waste any more time and just get to it.   Though the impossible/inevitable happened, most would say that the Unsanctioned Match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was Match of the Night. I wouldn’t deny it but I have to say the Men’s Elimination Chamber is what held the bulk of my interest.   I thought it was cleanly executed and truly presented who our “characters” are. Say what you will, CM Punk is an “Anti-Face”. He won’t bend to the Corporate Will, but he will make them money. Seth Rollins continues to hold old grudges. ...

Survivor Series / War Games - RAW Fallout 2024

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   How’s it feel to be back in the swing of things? That’s for my stateside readers. For the international ones, a merry Monday to you. I hope you had a good one. Mine was busy, naturally. Everything picking back up from where we left off. As for the Wrestling World, we had a fine Survivor Series this past weekend so, without any further ado, let’s do a brief review.   Some people always gripe but I found this year’s Survivor Series was a very solid show. Sure, there were some hokey moments here and there but that comes with the territory. As far as the IWC is concerned, Match of the Night went to the Bloodline Civil War / War Games. CM Punk proved his worth but coming out and showing us how we’re supposed to go at this. Sure, it’s for play-play but it’s a competition nonetheless. Nothing wrong with some gnashed teeth. The Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat took silver with the Ladies’ War Games closing out the podium with bronze. ...

Bad Blood 2024 - SmackDown Fallout....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! So, there’s a few things we can chat about today. I’ll keep to the point since there’s not a whole lot going on but there’s enough to have decent conversation. Ready to get into it? Let’s. Let’s start in the Realm of AEW first as Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan is putting his 😡 face on and coming for Jon Moxley. Moxley has professed walking into the “mouth of war…” this Saturday at AEW’s WrestleDream PPV. Danielson made sure he does it with a few bruises as he gave Mox what for all around the ring, backstage and back this past Tuesday. I did a little homework this week and caught his and Wheeler Yuta’s match against BCC members Claudio Castagnoli aka Cesaro and PAC. All I’ll say is that Danielson has every right to put his foot right up Mox’s ass and he pretty much did that so, good for him. Mox asked for it. Not sure how this plays out in the match but it’s nice to see Danielson can man up when the situation calls for it.  It also bo...

RAW Fallout - Bash in Berlin 2024

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying the day off if you have it? Bash in Berlin has come and gone and there’s some other news making the rounds. Are you up for the brief discussion? Let’s get into it.   Let’s just get Bash in Berlin out of the way. I enjoyed it. I have to say the German Crowd was the most interesting part of it. Not that the PPV was bad but it wasn’t the most thrilling, shall we say but it was a solid show nonetheless. As you can see, no real complaints outside of I just wasn’t “wowed”.   Most seem to have come around to CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre being Match of the Night, though quite a few are pushing for the Randy Orton vs. GUNTHER match. My vote is definitely for Punk and McIntyre. It was a lot more fun that I thought it would be and I like how Punk stuck to the assignment. Let McIntyre overexcite himself, so to speak, and just took advantage of the rules.   He also let McIntyre have it too which was good to see since we’re a li...

SummerSlam 2024 - SmackDown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Well, the relocation of my family has occurred, after that, I will have to relocate. There’s no way I’m staying here (^_~) Not that they’re awful, it’s the place. We’re basically in the desert and it shows. I’m cityfolk. I just don’t get this place, but I’ll visit from time to time.  As for the Wrestling World, there are few rumblings. We’ll start with the possible exit of Bobby Lashley. Word is that his contract is up this weekend. According to a recent interview, Lashley revealed that he was injured and seemed to need about 6 months to heal. Yet, Lashley being Lashley, he’s nearly back to being up and running at full speed in just 2 months. In about a month’s time, we should know what’s up. We will stay posted. In contracts getting re-upped and anted, LA Knight can stand a testament to hard work and commitment as he has convinced Management of his worth. What’s circulating through the grapevine is that he signed a nice new contract that includes a hef...

SmackDown Fallout - MITB

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! Well, it’s a hot one here. Are you sweltering? Where I live now, it’s near the beach so summers stay relative comfortable but not this year. It’s reminding me of my inland days. It’s hot! But the world goes on so, let’s see what’s going on about the wrestling one. We’ll start in the realm of AEW as they have quietly allowed a few contracts to expire. A couple noteworthy new free agents are CJ Perry/Lana and Ric Flair. Looks like AEW have done what they’re gonna do with them and now they are free to pursue their next endeavors.  Well, most feel Flair needs to hang it up and I don’t see WWE entertaining Perry/Lana without Miro/Rusev so, we’ll see what these 2 get into next. As usual, we wish them the best. In other AEW news, word is Tony Khan is open to speaking with Shane McMahon if he really wants to entertain a run with AEW. I don’t know if he would be there in an on-air capacity or just sit on the board but it’s an interesting collaborat...

RAW Fallout - MITB

Image
What’s Going On, Enthusiasts?   How did you like Money in the Bank? I had fun. There are a lot of gripes floating through the IWC but what else is new.   I have to say that I’m very proud of the Ladies as those who cared to take the poll deemed the Women’s MITB Ladder Match as Match of the Night. It wasn’t perfect, by far but it was well-executed and the Ladies who could, did.   I don’t mind Tiffany Stratton winning. I see why she’s getting pushed and can see that she has a future in WWE. We shall see how she matures. Iyo Sky and Zoey Stark had some solid spots as did Chelsea Green. It’s about all she can do. Have to give props to Naomi for the splits across a couple ladders too. It was a fun match and I’m glad they just buckled down and did the job.   However, it wasn’t my favorite match of the evening. I’m glad they earned the general consensus but the Heavyweight Championship had me rolling. A lot of people are bitching about how it leaves Drew McInty...

Clash at the Castle - SmackDown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! There’s some things to chat about for sure but nothing scintillating, but I think we can have a decent conversation. Shall we get to it? Let’s dive in. So, as many of you know, Wyatt Sicks debuted on RAW and I have reservations at present but I am hopeful that these players can find a way to make themselves interesting, Nikki Cross especially. We know it’s been tough going finding her niche out there. She’s got plenty to offer but how to present her has had WWE Creative scratching their heads. Personally, I was always all for letting her be her “crazy” self but that’s delicate these days with calls for sensitivity towards mental health. This new stable allows for the “crazy” to come out and I think the more bizarre yet understandable they are, I feel they can have a great time out there. All I mean is as long as the “crazy” can be tracked or followed, it’s fine. They should avoid being random.  Why the “massacre” happened must have some s...
