To The ELIMINATION CHAMBER!....

Image
What's up, Enthusiasts! I hope everyone is queuing up the equipment and getting the refreshments ready.  Well, I don't expect everyone to be all that interested for tonight's action but I think the ones of us with the WWE Network will at least take a look.  Why not, right?  In any case, as has been the norm of late, I will be live tweeting alongside the lot of you and so, feel free to join in.  The more the merrier when it comes to these things.  Funny tweets get retweeted and we'll just keep our eyes out for a Favorite.  You know, no pressure (^_~) See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night [May 28th, 2015]

What’s goin’ on, Enthusiasts.   I hope you all are having a great Friday night.   So, here we are, on the cusp of Elimination Chamber and like the good sport Smackdown is, it got in there and gave us some entertaining fodder.   Was it the best Smackdown ?   Gracious, no but it did steadily make me laugh and the action was exciting enough.   I’ll see Elmination Chamber just ‘cause but I wouldn’t say I’m dying to see it but at least I'm a little curious to see what does go down.   With Rusev probably out and all sorts of rumors floating about, it’s hard to say what will drop. We open in Wilkes-Barre , Pennsylvania and we’re greeted this evening by a Dean Ambrose.   In extended fashion, he regales us with his “stint in jail” that he had to endure due to The Authority trying to teach him a lesson.   Well, the only lesson he learned is that not all policemen are bad and that some of them must be fans because he was subsequently released due to the skirmish in questi

I'll Give Ya Something to SMACKDOWN...

How goes it, Enthusiasts! So, I'm still feeling lukewarm about Elimination Chamber but from the sound of the spoilers, this week's Smackdown  crowd is at least encouraging...maybe even a little apologetic?  Hmmm...I guess we'll have to wait and see for ourselves.  I'll be keeping an eye on the East Coast tweets and as for you West Coasters, join the viewing party!  Funny tweets get retweeted and we'll just let that Favorite come over when it's good and ready (^_~) See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (May 25th, 2015)

Hello Enthusiasts!  Well, I don’t know about the lot of you but I would say that the WWE isn’t all that jazzed for its own Pay-Per-View.  It could just be me but, I felt that for a “Go Home” show of sorts, it left We the Audience wanting.  Yet, this may be more of an experimental time because what was presented seems to attempt to integrate some old standards with fresh faces yet, not so much with a fresh take.  I felt very blasé towards the end, not exactly the sentiment one would want for an audience if you’re trying to get them to pay. We open in Uniondale , New York and The Authority, in its entirety, saunters out with Seth Rollins leading to settle the matter of the Elimination Chamber main event, Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose.  Now, The Authority could do all sorts of things to make this not happen.  They could even go so far as to “fire” Ambrose and nullify the whole shebang.  But, why do that?  We’ve got all sorts of paying customers, why give them nothing to see?  And so

Feeling a Little RAW? We Can Do Something About That...

A Merry Memorial Day to You, Enthusiasts! As we revel in a national holiday, remembering those who fell defending us, we also try to brush up on what's going on in the WWE Universe.  Elimination Chamber is the hot topic and so we'll tune in to see if they keep things interesting.  I'll take a look regardless 'cause May is accounted for.  After that...not so sure.  Well, see if they make it worth our while (^_~)  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for that Favorite...we'll see about that as well. See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night [May 21st, 2015]

How’s it going, Enthusiasts?    So, we come to Smackdown in between Payback and Elimination Chamber and, to be honest, it very much feels that way.   The action isn’t so much that you pay full attention but at the same time, you keep an eye on things just so you’re kinda on the same page with everyone else.   I wouldn’t call this “phoning it in”, though.   This appears quite strategic, for once.   With 2 Pay Per Views basically 2 weeks from each other, I would definitely say this is a sort of pacing mechanism.   They don’t want to give us too much for free yet, they want to keep us interested enough to throwdown. We open in Norfolk , Virginia and surprisingly enough, it’s Roman Reigns who starts it off today.   For some reason, the WWE believes he’s been away.   I wouldn’t call coming back from a night off a “return” per se but, I guess there are some out there who think 1 day is too many for him to be gone (^_~)   Anyway, if we didn’t notice, he didn’t win at Payback.

I'm Always Ready to Put the SMACKDOWN...

Just don't make me (^_~)  How goes it, Enthusiasts?  I hope this Thursday evening finds you all well.  So, when it comes to the WWE Universe, Elimination Chamber is the hot topic though the recent NXT Takeover has certainly stole some of the thunder.  I find that promising.  NXT simply reeks of "new guard" and I for one can't wait for the current stars to get called up.  Though I'm sure the current powers that be will try to maintain some of what was, I think their very presence will speak of the future, regardless of what they do with Seth Rollins.  This is what I've basically been waiting for, a Wrestling Renaissance.  Is it soon upon us?  Well, I'm probably 3-5 years off but who knows...stranger things have happened.  Yet, let's focus on the present.  Funny tweets get retweet and we'll just see if we're blessed with a Favorite. See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (May 18th, 2015)

Greetings, Enthusiasts!  We return to RAW to see if there is in fact any “fallout” from Payback and I’d have to say that it’s more or less business as usual.  RAW was a mixed bag again, as it tends to be, but it seems to rely a bit more on “story” this time out as opposed to wrestling and be it kayfabe or not, many of our usual players are mildly injured.  This may have had something to do with the truncated, actual wrasslin’ content but for whatever the reason we concentrated on the non-wrestling action this time out and start to see whether we’re interested enough to partake of the next scheduled event, The Elimination Chamber. We open in Richmond , Virginia with The Authority leaders back as Stephanie McMahon and Triple H walk out to greet us.  Stephanie is happy to be back and is glad that we are happy she’s back too.  Well, while she was away, it looks like not too much outside of the usual went on.  She returns to Seth Rollins still holding the Heavyweight Champions

THE BIG PAYBACK!!...What Happened Last Night (May 17th, 2015)

Well, I’m not mad but I certainly had a lot of fun.   Payback was quite the pleasant surprise.   With a juicy Fatal-4-Way set to close the show, it was anyone’s guess what would go down along the way and though there has been plenty of drama stirred up in the preceding weeks, I wasn’t sure if it was going to amount to much and yes, we basically end up right where we were before but we’re all changed now by the experience and I for one am glad to see that the WWE can still present decent programming from time to time.   It wasn’t all gold but it was more interesting than not and so, kudos!   I don’t have to pack my bags and leave just yet. The pre-show had a couple of matches.   The first one was a perfunctory dance between Stardust and R-Truth. Though these 2 are great workers, the match itself had no bearing.   It simply seemed like something to do and that may have very well been the case.   There has certainly been no lead up or feud so they do as they’re supposed to a
