Being Too Ruthless Often Leads to a SmackDown...

Just saying...😉 How Goes It, Enthusiasts! Well, RAW was a much cleaner episode than I can remember so, it’s nice to know there is some thought to all this rigmarole.  The best moment of the night would have to be the closing segment with a seemingly “wasted” Neville, absolutely destroyed over the surprise loss to Enzo Amore.  So much so, he just has to take it out on him.  I was not expecting the cheeky follow-up and it did make up for Amore’s unwarranted win.  That sort of drama certainly works.  Keep at it.  This shit shouldn’t make us think too much. Yet, speaking of contemplation, on Smackdown tonight, we have a few concerns to address.  Shane McMahon will confront the “delusional” Kevin Owens regarding the showdown set for Hell in a Cell.   And Shinsuke Nakamura will have a retort for Jinder Mahal’s “tasteless” display last week.  Now, I was a little surprised to see that segment make the news because the way I read it, either the Media doesn’t get what the WWE is

The Merciless Remain & Are Ready & RAW!!

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! Well, I have to say that No Mercy was way better than I expected.   I was expecting dead spots left and right and there only was 1 really and that, I’m sure you all agree, came in Enzo Amore shadily defeating Neville for the Cruiserweight Title.   The match was kinda lackluster and the crowd really wasn’t feeling it but, Amore gets crowned anyway to lukewarm confusion.   I wouldn’t be surprised if this is “elaborated” on in some way tonight.   But I should relay that this strange win caused the wind to get completely sucked from the sails.   Brock Lesnar’s and Braun Strowman’s match suffered greatly from it, even with Paul Heyman trying to resuscitate the crowd with a rousing introduction.   A lot of heads were left scratching. Yet, the true surprise of the evening was the Anti-Face Match in John Cena and Roman Reigns actually being a lot of fun to watch.   After thrice laying the Attitude Adjustment to Roman Reigns, Cena simply couldn’t br

There Shall Be NO MERCY for Anyone!

Greetings, Enthusiasts!   Well, No Mercy is about to commence just a few miles away at the Staples Center and I don’t know…would you say there’s buzz?   Hmmm, I wouldn’t so much say that as there is curiosity.   There’s a lot of “hit or miss-edness” afoot and if not properly executed, this evening can potentially fall very flat.   For starters, we have the CruiserWeight battle that has Neville facing Enzo Amore for the title.   Now, we all know why this is happening.   With both Big Cass and Big Show out of action, what’s the WWE to do with Amore?   Well, see if he livens up the CruiserWeight Division.   It would appear that the WWE fan doesn’t care for the little guys boxing too much.   Though I find their in-ring antics more interesting and exciting, the WWE is still very old school and prefers to wait for the HeavyWeights.   Since it's obvious why this match is happening, We the Audience may or may not pay it much attention.   Neville’s prowess in the ring certainly can

SmackDown Only Has Mercy For the Worthy...

How Goes It, Enthusiasts! Well, RAW didn’t so much take us home for No Mercy as dropped us off around the corner but, let’s face it.  We’ve all sat through worse of their offerings.  The shining light came in Bayley making her return from the Disabled List.  Match wise, the Tag Teams in Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins, Sheamus & Cesaro and uh…Anderson & Gallows was the most entertaining though a little cheesy at times.  Honorable Mentions to Jason Jordan and Bo Dallas doing their best to make their programs interesting at the end of the show.  Though, I’d usually say to dial it back, they’re in the Big Leagues so, I appreciate them going for broke.  Outside of that, it was promos galore and everyone basically did their job…I’ll leave it at that. So, going into No Mercy, SmackDown doesn’t necessarily need to do RAW any favors.  They’ve got their Hell in a Cell to prepare for and then there is the looming drama of Kevin Owens vs. The McMahon Family.  We’ll see what S

Uh! It's So RAW! Ahhhhhh, There's No Mercy!....

Greetings, Enthusiasts! So, we’re “going home” with tonight’s RAW and prepping ourselves for what is supposed to be the West Coast madness that is No Mercy!    Will it be merciless?  I don’t know.   We’ll see how the amuse bouche goes.   So, what do we got for tonight?   We’ll see if the tag team champs in Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins continue to bolster their current majesty.   Nia Jax will decide whether or not to just sit on Alexa Bliss and end things for good.   The Miz, aside from nursery décor, has to contemplate the intrusion of Enzo Amore into his life.   All the while, Braun Strowman will be stomping around looking for someone to stuff in a dumpster, just ‘cause he can.   Hmm, are we missing anything?... Ah yes, the lead up to the huge, monumental “Anti-Face Match” with John Cena and Roman Reigns to do battle for us to decide which of the lesser of 2 “evils” shall rule the proverbial "Yard".   Well, whether we like it or not we’ll soon be left with Reigns

I Know a SmackDown When I See One, I Tell You What..

A Happy Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! So, RAW did an all right job of only moderately sucking last night with most of the fare watchable.  I have no real complaints.  If anything, I can commend Braun Strowman on coming into his own to fill the “Big Man” shoes.  We have to face that Big Show doesn’t have much left in the tank for in-ring play so, it’s nice to see that we have some up and coming alternatives developing.  Hopefully, Big Cass can pick up some of the slack when he’s healthy.  We'll be watching and commenting. In any case, as for SmackDown, they’re in Las Vegas right now and the big news circulating is that our Chairman of the Board, Vince McMahon will be making an appearance to address Shane’s suspension among other things.  Also, The Usos and The New Day have a knock-down, drag ‘em out Street Fight scheduled so, that should be a high point of the evening if they go ahead and let loose.  They’ve been gradually manifesting the tag-team rivalry that I thought t

Greetings, Enthusiasts! Well, it appears RAW is just down the street from me in Anaheim tonight and we’ll be tantalized with No Mercy lead-up material.   Word has it that Mr. Paul Heyman and Brock “Gun Jack” Lesnar will be making appearances tonight in hopes of intimidating the "Monster Among Men" in Braun Strowman.   We’ll see how that goes.   Strowman’s supposed to face John Cena as well…I can imagine We the Audience will have fun with this one.   And as Cena does that, Roman Reigns is set to face-off against an excitable Jason Jordan.   What do you, think Enthusiasts?   Good Jock vs. Bad Jock?   Got a feeling that's how it might boil down.   Who would you vote for Homecoming King?   Don’t know…who throws better parties? 😉   Outside of that we’ll see how the self-proclaimed “Goddess”, Alexa Bliss will maintain her reign as Women’s Champion.   I say anyone with some meat on them should just sit on her and take the belt.    These bitty gals get some mouths on ‘e

Had to Work on Your Day-off!? Right, That Deserves a SmackDown...

Evening, Enthusiasts! So, RAW was…tolerable for the most part.  Have to say the best match of the evening was the Intercontinental Title match between The Miz and Jeff Hardy.  Though the lot of us didn’t anticipate Hardy losing, it was a well-played contest.  The opener with John Cena and Jason Jordan was a pleasant surprise as well.  Jordan is certainly a more traditional grappler which is nice to see.  Let’s admit that what the WWE offers up is bastardized at best.  I’m not complaining, just saying it’s nice to see some technique from time to time.  Besides that, an honorable mention goes out to the Big Show and Braun Strowman for making a giant “hoss” fight palatable.  It got the crowd going though I found it a bit laborious but hey, they gave it a good go.  Not gonna crap on the effort.  Everything else was watchable.  What are you gonna do? In any case, we now have SmackDown to keep the party going and the match to get us revved up is Shinusuke Nakamura vs. Randy Orton

Work?! On a Holiday?! Now, That Just Gets Me RAW....

Happy Labor Day, Enthusiasts! I hope you are enjoying your day off as I am.  So, we arrive again for RAW to see well…whatever it is they’ll come up with to get us interested in this months PPV, No Mercy, slated for the end of the month.  The WWE was so kind as to accept blame for the “over-work” of John Cena’s and Roman Reigns’ segment last week and so now we’ll see if they’ve learned their lesson.  What’s the lesson you ask?  Well, probably something more along the lines of if it makes you wince, it probably isn’t good for business.  Hopefully, they come up with some more palatable fare.      The well-informed probably also have gotten wind that Samoa Joe has been sidelined with an knee injury and we’ll be missing him in action for a good 6 weeks.  I wish him a speedy recovery.  Though he can lay it on a little thick at times, I appreciate what he brings to the roster.  His veteran status has proven most useful.  I’ll be glad to see him back in the ring. Besides that, we
