Clash in Italy 2026

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Here we are at Clash in Italy and the big question suddenly becomes what shall we see? There’s talk of injury but…can we believe it? You never know in this universe. Let’s have a little chat. It won’t be long but let’s see where it goes. So, the word is Sol Ruca and Jacob Fatu may be too injured to perform. What happens then? That’s the question. The other question is how they handle the Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesmar Match. With Lesnar “half retired”, does Femi make it official or is this only the beginning? Personally, I can’t wait until Femi turns Heel but I hope they wait until he’s at least 30. You need to be in the right head space for that.  But I digress. With the “situation” up in the air it’s hard to comment so, I’m not going to really. There’s some stuff to prove given how TKO/WWE are running things so we’ll see who cares the most about keeping their job. Note how that has a different connotation given the Current Events. You could say those who d...

SmackDown Stops in Spain on Its Way to Italy...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to the weekend. So, there are few things we can chat about. Not exactly about the recent rumblings but we can touch on a few things there as well. If anything, there were a few observations I’d like to reflect on and then we can get into our tape-delayed action. You ready? Let’s do it.   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as I was curious to see how Lio Rush was doing with his new “unbalanced” gimmick and wasn’t I delighted to see him going with the “Midnight Bomber” touch. This is why I always suggest humor. It’s the sugar that helps the medicine go down.   I’m glad. I get what he’s trying to do but you gotta entertain first and foremost and now I think he can just have more fun with it overall. Have a blast freaking people out.   Elsewhere in the realm, glimmers of the Future seem to be presenting themselves. The current in-house protagonist, Kenny Omega, had some concerns for Will Ospreay. Omega understands. The ...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying the final leg of the Memorial Day Weekend, if it applies? It was a busy one for the IWC so we got a few things to chat about. I won’t talk your ear off like on Friday but we’ll have a decent conversation. Let us begin, shall we?   In the Realm of AEW, they closed the weekend with their Double or Nothing PPV. It’s highly regarded as far as social media is concerned. From what I caught, I’d say that Kenny Omega proved impressive in his time on-screen. I know he’s good but he seemed to put on a short clinic this past Sunday. Gotta prove why you’re a “big deal” from time to time. He’s spoken highly of for a good reason.   As for my observation of the approaching Future, I’d have to say that Kyle O’Reilly vs. Jon Moxley was a mild downer in the kayfabe sense that O’Reilly either suffered or aggravated an injury. You figure O’Reilly would have put up more of a fight if at 100%.   It’s too bad for O’Reilly as Mox maybe...

Saturday Night: Main Event (VII)

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Memorial Day Weekend. So, I made comments on all the things I really wanted to say and looking at tonight’s card. This is an interesting time indeed. On paper, this is a mid-card show. The “meat & potatoes” are being saved for Clash In Italy so this show should be telling. Everyone we see tonight, is basically singing for their supper. Less so for the Ladies. The Lady Stars seem to be proctoring their matches but the men have to keep themselves in the conversation with this one. What should we care? Why should we watch? The assignment for those we witness tonight is “make it work”. It’s the wrestling version of Project Runway. Who will “make the cut”? I’m not going to speculate. As you can see, these are strange times and I promised a short post. Let’s see who earns their keep and I’ll talk about it come Monday. And remember that won’t be a “Go Home Show” ‘cause look where they’re going, abroad. Then it will be the stars’ turn. Let’s relax and obs...

SmackDown Leads Us into the Saturday Night: Main Event...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! Goodness, this has been an eventful week, hasn’t it? Well, it appears to be ending on a more hopeful note but there’s a lot going on outside of the Ludwig Kaiser/El Grande Americano II incident. This is probably gonna be a long post so, perhaps get into it after the show. This Memorial Day Weekend is jam packed! Let’s break it down.   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as they’re getting ready for their Double or Nothing PPV that’s going down on Sunday. They had a double-header show this week holding both Dynamite and Collision together. Per usual, I’m overseeing The Future and if I didn’t know better, we got our first tastes of what’s to come in the Part 1 of the showdown between Kyle O’Reilly and Jon Moxley. As we know, O’Reilly ain’t scared of Mox. If anyone’s got Mox’s number, it’s O’Reilly so this was a loaded match in that respect. It was no surprise that it went the distance and I appreciated how O’Reilly had no problem ...

RAW Checks to See What's Next...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to a new week. So, there’s not much to talk about but there’s enough for a brief chat. I’ll try to keep to the point so we can get on with it. Care to bear with me for a little bit? Here we go.   Over in the Realm of AEW it looks like Collision did a little clean-up with its Will Ospreay angle. Jon Moxley and the Riders of Death have switched focus onto Kyle O’Reily so Ospreay explained himself. It’s simple, really. If you want to hit the next level, say what you want about his psycho methods, Mox gets you over the hurdle. And so that’s that.   This was more to signal Ospreay becoming Samoa Joe’s problem or is it the other way around as Joe was the one to call Ospreay out later in the night. Personally, this is enough ‘cause this course correction allows Ospreay to go whichever way he wants. He can have a sportsmanlike contest with Samoa Joe or perform a “psych out” of a plot twist and show that he’s been in cahoots with...

BackLash 2026 - SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! Well, there’s not a whole hell of a lot going on today, but I have a few things I can chat about. Let’s knock it out then we can get on with the weekend. Sound good? Here we go.   So, in the Realm of AEW the Riders of Death continue their alliance with Will Ospreay. After a thoughtful discussion with Jon Moxley during a Rider training session, Ospreay took this food for thought and applied it in his match against the up-and-coming Ace Austin. I have to say, I like Ospreay learning how to “freestyle”. Austin was a valiant opponent but just didn’t have enough to best the Aerial Assassin.   Yet, the second part of the story had Samoa Joe and The Opps faction coming out to question this whole association. So much so, that they felt they should “force” Ospreay to reconsider but the Riders of Death made that not so easy. Is there a showdown on the horizon? It would appear so but that’s not my problem with this.   ...

BackLash 2026 - RAW Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Welcome to another week. How did you like BackLash? I enjoyed it for what it was, though it seemed to prompt more questions than answers but I suppose that’s all right. That’s one tactic to maintain interest.   As for the Wrestling World, there a few things I can touch on so let’s get to it shall we. BackLash Fallout awaits!   Over in the Realm of AEW, I took a look at the Title Match on   “Fairway to Hell” the short Collision show that they had right at the end of BackLash. PAC, even with help from the Riders of Death, could not best Darby Allin this time around, evening out their head-to-head at 2-2.   There’s a lot that could go on from this point, so I’m curious. PAC opted for the unsportsmanlike conduct and half tried to “kill” Allin by tossing him off the 2nd level deck onto some set up and stacked tables. Allin only hit the top one but survived.   What caught my eye is that both Claudio Castagnoli and Jon M...

BackLash 2026 ─ Matches of Interest

Image
What’s Going On, Enthusiasts? Happy BackLash! So, we got a decent card awaiting us this afternoon and I’m looking at a couple matches specifically. This won’t be a long post because of that but hopefully I prove that I got handle on this stuff. I have been watching for a while, you know. The first match I’ve got eyes on is the opener in Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker. To look at it, you wonder why Rollins would show up. What could he possibly do against this young warrior? Well, that’s kinda what we have to see. This is a precipice of WWE modern history. What once was the “hot new thing” is now staring at what is the current “hot new thing”. It has different connotations in this day and age, especially with the current climate. Not living up to the “myth the legend” could mean Rollins is on the chopping block.  Breakker, fresh and young, has nothing but potential at this stage. What can he become? Rollins has more to lose here, otherwise he’s just putting Breakker over. Trut...

SmackDown Makes Sure Everyone Went Home. BackLash Is Tomorrow...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! Well, the IWC is kinda strange right now. It’s just full of rumors and speculations. I suppose that’s always but the line between fact and fiction has never been so blurred. You ever stop to think that all of it may just be talk? There may be morsels of truth here and there but I can’t really believe half of what’s coming across my feed at the moment. None of it is substantiated and we’ll probably never know the truth because we’ll be told whatever they want to tell us, at least when it comes to the WWE. I’ll elaborate on that in a minute but first let’s see what else is going on and then I’ll get into all this…whatever.   So, in the land of AEW the Future appears “cloaked” at the moment and that’s exactly as it should be. The Riders of Death have taken in Will Ospreay and so far, their influence appears to be positive. Yet Ospreay maintains he’s not on the team just calling a truce for now and we’ll see how that evolves. Su...
