SummerSlam 2026 - Day 2

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Welcome to Day 2. So, Day 1 has nothing to be ashamed of. Everyone went out with something to prove and for the most part earned their keep so, can’t complain there. The Bella Twins turning on Paige was the major “surprise” so, we’ll see how that plays out. I guess that means Paige will be returning to Singles action. Randy Orton decided to ruin Cody Rhodes’ day. And Brock Lesnar gave Oba Femi his vote of approval. It wasn’t a bad night. For Day 2, I’m not going to look at everything but the 2 matches that have my attention aren’t the main event. They intrigue me because the players involved have more on the line than most so that gives it just a little bit more flavor. Let’s explore the potential tastes. Firstly, I’m looking at Trick Williams and Baron Corbin. Corbin returned to WWE action ready to box and that has put a “damper” on William’s ascension, so they’re gonna have this out right now.  Personally, I’m rooting for Corbin because you’d hope he ...

SummerSlam 2026 ─ Day 1

Happy Summer Slam, Enthusiasts! Welcome to Day 1. I’ve been chatty recently and will have more to say so I’ll keep to the point. I’m only looking at 2 matches but I’ll watch them all and I think I won’t be alone for the most part. Let’s get into it. The first match is the Nick Aldis vs. GUNTHER. Now, we kinda have to presume that this will be Aldis’ Retirement Match ‘cause I’m not sure who really wants to see him wrestle but I respect he had a career and can do it. So, I’m going into this as his last hurrah. If that’s the case, all he has to do is pretty much what he did on SmackDown. Put up a good fight.  There is the off chance that he makes the unlikely transition to roster but he’d have to put on quite a show. I’m just being realistic. Anything is possible but I never heard of Aldis until he became General Manager. He clearly used to do something ‘cause he keeps in shape but I was never gonna do the deep dive. SmackDown Kicks Any Stragglers Out for SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to SummerSlam weekend! So, there’s plenty to talk about in the Wrestling World. AEW prepares for the future while WWE solidifies its own. While they do this, We the Audience have some mixed emotions about the whole affair. Naturally, there are more complaints in the WWE Universe but I may have a theory on that. In any case, let’s get into it. I’ll try not to bore you but I’m gonna say what I’m gonna say.   In the Realm of AEW, things have been interesting, I’ll admit. The Redemption Fallout has produced some intrigue. Though I can comment on much, what I’ll focus on is what gained the most of my attention. With this being SummerSlam Eve, AEW didn’t try to compete so they had back-to-back Dynamite and Collision episodes. We knew that Will Ospreay renouncing his affiliation to the Riders of Death would have repercussions but they weren’t exactly what we were expecting, though PAC would have gladly gone there. RAW Says Go Home for SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another week and there’s some things to chat about in the Wrestling World. AEW had their Redemption PPV and there are plenty of thoughts. I have my own but they’re less confused because if I didn’t know better, I’d say we’re simply witnessing how The Future will lead into the future. Have no idea what I’m talking about? Good, you shouldn’t. We’re free to comment on execution but for the most part, we should sit back and let it happen. Let me explain…sorta.   Generally speaking, this PPV wasn’t a well-regarded one but I was happy with what I saw. Naturally, I’m concerned with The Future and we got our amuse bouche in the Tag Team Match with Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay pairing up to take on the Young Bucks. The Bucks fared better than I would like to give them credit. Probably tired of people saying they suck. I wasn’t impressed but they executed the technical stuff with a lot more grace than I would have ever given them so, at least t...

SmackDown Tidies Up So We Can Get On with SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to the weekend. So, there’s not all that much going on in the Wrestling World that I feel the need to talk about but I got a few things to chat about but I’ll try to keep to the point. Want to get to my weekend like everyone else 😉 Let’s dive in, shall we?   Over in the Realm of AEW, they are steadily preparing for the future as they are getting their top talent in place. I heard the match between Darby Allin and Kevin Knight was good so, I checked it out. I concur. It was a fine display. Allin is certainly coming along and I respect and commend the improvement. You can’t say he isn’t working on it.   I’m unfamiliar with Knight but he made a good impression. He’s trying to make it clear that though he is a member of the Don Callis Family, he doesn’t need them to rig the game. He can win on his own. RAW Now Prepares Us for SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to a new week. So, there’s not much to chat about at the moment. It’s kinda quiet as the Top 2 promotions prepare for bigger things. I believe AEW has it’s Redemption PPV coming up next weekend and WWE has SummerSlam of course after this past weekend’s Saturday Night: Main Event . There are a few speculations hovering around so we’ll chat about that and get into tonight’s action. How’s that sound? Here we go.   The Realm of AEW is relatively quiet as the road to the future is being paved. The goal appears to be get Will Ospreay into “Top Guy” shape but what kind of Top Guy will he be? A Major Face or a Huge Heel? It’s hard to say. I get the feeling he wants to be the “Good Guy” but you should be able to play the villain just the same so, we shall see.   To look at it, I think Omega is going to go out a Face so perhaps Ospreay could have an “Identity Crisis” to start and as the sun sets on Omega’s career, he can come aroun...

Saturday Night: Main Event (VIII)

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Welcome to Saturday Night: Main Event ! I think it will be an interesting time. I’m not expecting to have my mind blown but I don’t expect to demand my money back either.  Since I’ve been rambling on recently, this shouldn’t be too long. I’m looking at the underdogs tonight. I’m curious about Lyra Valkyria vs. Bayley and Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh.  Valkyria and Bayley caught my eye because this appears to be following the Game of Thrones motif, more in practice than in the figurative which I don’t mind. Bayley is Our Arya Stark and let’s face it, probably the closest we’re gonna get from here on out so, why not let her serve as a proverbial alternate universe version.  If Arya Stark were say…living in this time, and had to make her living, Bayley’s path would be feasible. So, you could say, she’d know how to handle a Valkyria. Technically, it’s “family” if we’re going to go with the House Arryn interpretation. They too have a touch of madness...
