May Your Halloween Be SMACKDOWN Worthy...

But, don't feel bad if it's not.  If it was, no doubt it would be awesome, but alas we hope to keep evenings like this full of wholesome fun for the most part...at least in the early evening (^_~)  Well, I'll be out Halloween-ing tonight so, no live tweeting during the SmackDown airing but I'll be back tomorrow with my critique. I'll get my fix from other means.  Have fun tonight my fellow enthusiasts.  Tweet some quips for me and I'll be back at it come RAW.   Stay Safe! -Nicole Alexis.

GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (Oct. 27th, 2014)

So Hell in a Cell is done and dusted and the landscape we’re left with has Seth Rollins reigning as Heel Supreme.  Dean Ambrose is still hungry for Rollins’ face/blood.  John Cena is ready to dance with Brock “Gun Jack” Lesnar again.  Big Show took a dirty beating from Rusev.  Brie is now Nikki’s bitch.  Dolph Ziggler retains his title along with Sheamus…anything else?  Oh, AJ Lee is still crazy and Divas Champion.  And Bray Wyatt gets the save on Ambrose’s loss as well, which is why we start RAW basically where we left off.  Nothing fully resolved and geared to set the scene for the next pay-per-view, Survivor Series, towards the end of next month. We open with The Authority coming out to celebrate and congratulate their ultimate heel, Seth Rollins, in winning his match at Hell in a Cell Sunday night.  He’s coming up so despicably well, truly a delight for The Authority to see.  Everyone seems pleased with Rollins’ progress, except Randy Orton.  Orton was a lot of fun last

How RAW Are You After HIAC?...

I'm assuming not too much but, I have to give our gentlemen wrestlers a big "E" for effort at the very least. It looks like DailyMotion is your best bet for a direct look at what happened.  It's hard to be surprised in this day and age and nothing made me jump out of my seat but they're out there trying, that's for sure.  Yet, as it usually goes, most of what we saw transpire will probably be reversed tonight.  I'm sure some has already but, that's just life in the WWE Universe (^_~) Let's have at and tweet about it. See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night [Oct. 24th, 2014]

The name of the game is Hell in a Cell and the WWE is doing their job of getting us salivating for it.  I’m not really, but that’s just because it is what it is.  Yet, that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun.  So far, I’m simply curious.  I like how some wrestlers are evolving and others are finding their niche.  Suddenly, our wrestlers seem to be manifesting into somewhat interesting characters, which is sorely needed.  Sure there was plenty to critique but, generally speaking, I think my previous conjecture of a happy medium being reached isn’t too far off.  We’re not always going to see eye-to-eye but, as it goes in business, the customer will get more or less what they want in the end else the business is lost.  I think it’s safe to say that we’re not fully satisfied but the lot of us aren’t walking away…as of yet. We open SmackDown with Dean Ambrose setting the scene of what it’s like dans la vie d’Ambrose .  It’s a hard life.  It takes a physical toll but he also has that

Thought Friday Would Never Come! So Ready for SMACKDOWN...

Happy Friday, Fellow Enthusiasts! Did the week treat you well?  It kicked my ass, I'll tell you what.  Ready for the weekend couldn't be more of an understatement.  But, I'm sure it's clear how I like to start it off.  And seeing how we have Hell in a Cell coming up this weekend, SmackDown should have a little more pizzazz than usual...should being the operative word (^_~)  Funny tweets get retweeted.  Funnier tweets get retweeted and favorited. Show us what you got! Have a Good One & See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (Oct. 20th, 2014)

Well, it’s Hell in a Cell that’s got everyone hot and bothered at the moment and seeing how I only really start to focus on PPVs come Wrestlemania, I can’t honestly say I’m excited but I am intrigued.  I suppose the Creative Team for RAW is feeling a little pressure from SmackDown and is trying to up its game in kind.  Whether it is actually doing that or not remains to be seen but the attempt to add some sort of “depth” could be and was noted. This was a very verbal RAW .  I felt there was a lot of talking and not so much action all around so, I suppose this was a “character driven” episode as we lead into Hell in a Cell.  We open with the Cell hovering over the ring and Triple H illustrating the perilous and arduous task it is to perform at Hell in a Cell. The Authority crew in Randy Orton, Dad/Kane and Seth Rollins hang back as H describes how doing this battle makes men of boys and separates the best from the amateurs and all sorts of stuff like that there.  He was act

Ready to Get RAW?....

Well, in this case yeah. Typically try to avoid chaffing otherwise, you know (^_~) The only thing good about Monday is upon us. Get your witty remarks ready.  I've been aching to retweet some sort of brilliance. Amaze me!  Or at the very least, get me a chuckle.  It won't go unrewarded as it shall be "retwaught" into cyber space to be beholden unto all! Dig deep and unearth thy creativity. See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

SmackDown continues to be the WWE’s saving grace by attempting to implement the delicate balance that I’ve been professing.  It’s doing a solid job of respecting the past with an eye towards the future.   I feel that it should continue on in this manner because the philosophy would enable this form of entertainment to remain valid in modern times.  Not to mention that it’s doing its job of being fun to watch.  This week’s installment was encouraging.  With Hell in a Cell coming up next Sunday, the matches have been relevant and compelling for once.  Nothing like the threat of failure to prompt better product. We open again with Seth Rollins saying how all of us are jealous of him.  How we all wish n’shit and naturally the crowd isn’t convinced.  Just as the bulk of them are rolling their eyes and looking for their drink, out comes Dolph Ziggler to the delight of all.  Something I wouldn’t have thought I’d say about a year ago but, it’s hard to deny that Ziggler has been im

Just About Ready to SMACK it DOWN...

Happy Friday All, Hope this week was a good one.  For me, you know, had it's good parts had it's frustrating parts but I'll live. So, who's up for some watch & tweet action? Anyone...anyone...Bueller (^_~) Well, you know what I'll be doing.  Feel free to play along or go out and have some fun or stay in and have some fun.  Point should be, you're having a good time.  Funny tweets get retweeted.  Pitch it if you got the chops. See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis. PS: Massive Attack is PHENOMENAL in concert!  I'm a fan reborn.

GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (Oct. 13th, 2014)

With the Fall Season of 2014 in full swing, it’s interesting to see how RAW develops as the year presses on.  Last night’s episode was a bit of grab-bag in my opinion.  You’re glad you’re getting it for free but at the same time, half of what’s in it you could do without.  Nevertheless, I was somewhat intrigued by what transpired.  Nothing left my jaw on the floor but, I found it interesting how some of our old standards are evolving, even impressing.  It’s always nice to see what others can do, especially when you didn’t expect much from them at all. Quite frankly, there were plenty of pleasant surprises amongst the usual slag this time around. We open with the “Lunatic Fringe”, Dean Ambrose coming out to the ring with a few things on his mind.  This is somewhat understandable because there’s a lot going on both in the context of the storyline and in the WWE Universe reality.  We’ve got Hell in a Cell coming up, John Cena’s getting in the way of him kicking Seth Rollins’

Gonna Check How RAW It Gets...

The only thing I look forward to on Monday nights, some RAW action. Ready for tweets o'plenty? Well, you oughta be.  I'll be tweeting like a mad fiend! And I want everyone else to do the same.  Show your sense of humor and perhaps get retweeted in the process.  I won't lead others to aim too high and think they'll get favorited also but, if you're like me, you may enjoy a challenge (^_~)  Tweet one, tweet all and let us see and comment upon what they come up with this week. See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN… What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night (Oct. 10th, 2014)

This week we had the 15 year anniversary special for Smackdown and to be honest, I totally forgot it was on that long.  I mean, yeah, I remembered since they’ve been plugging this show but still, in retrospect, my friends and I did congregate on Thursday nights to watch this stuff from time to time.  We were getting out of high school when it first aired and since it started during the summer, it was easier to make a time of it.  Yet, alas, college beckoned and everyone worth watching moved on and so…that was that.  Yet, I have to say this evening was a pleasant blending of new and old and in the end, it reminded me of why I came to love this stuff and why I write now to preserve and support that which engaged me so, nearly 20 years ago. To begin, we have Teddy Long and Johnny Laurinaitis getting the crowd going with that sentiment of nostalgia mixed with the celebration of why we’re all met this Tuesday/Friday night.  Since the backbone of this whole industry lies in p
