Sure RAW Knows About Drafting. They're Always Eating SmackDown's Dust...

Image
😉 A Happy Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! So, RAW pulled itself up by the bootstraps and presented palatable content sending it back to SmackDown to keep up the pace.   Remember, Enthusiasts that the WrestleMania Go-Home shows are next week so we should basically be expecting and demanding better content right through go-time.   Now, SmackDown is more obligated than ever to keep the party going. Now, what we have to consider going in is how real Shane McMahon’s diverticulitis is.   Isn’t that what Brock Lesnar has?   I’m just saying if it was anything else, I wouldn’t suspect something but this “coincidence” may be pointed or a clue.   I don’t know…just seems a little planned is all, especially with the disgruntled beatdown he received courtesy of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens/Steen for their recent “dismissal”.   I think this is all drummed up for the drama but we’ll see if it actually proves entertaining. As for tonight, we'll see if Daniel Bryan put himself back on the

RAW Understands the Key to Momentum Is the Draft...

How Goes It, Enthusiasts? I hope this Monday doesn’t have you too down.   So, as you can see, our jog towards WrestleMania picks up the pace to a steady run as we head towards the home stretch.   RAW has set itself back a bit with a shoddy performance last week and with the buzz of Daniel Bryan back in action, they have given themselves quite a bit of hole to dig themselves out of.   Given what’s been advertised, it’s hard to speculate how they plan to redeem themselves. There are rumors that Jeff Hardy may make an appearance but given that “Ultimate Deletion” from last week, I’m not sure that’s a good thing.   Don’t get me wrong, I generally enjoy the Hardy Boyz’ work but there have been some swings and misses of late.   Though the Ultimate Deletion got mixed reviews, I still strongly feel that the taped content needs work in terms seamless integration.   The WWE has to come up with the answer to why it’s better to buy a ticket for the “live experience” as opposed to just stay ho

You Should Know SmackDown Always Stays Loose and Limber...

A Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts! So, RAW was…thought-provoking at best an utter mess at worst but that’s nothing new.   The 2 segments of note were the opening with Roman Reigns unrealistically fending off “law enforcement” officers in blatant “violation” of his “suspension”.   Only to be subdued by an “unhinged” yet unprovoked Brock Lesnar resulting in Reigns receiving a “beat down” to prove as punishment for bringing his no-good, mug around.     All this did was cause my eyes to roll around in my head.   It’s like they don’t want us to watch WrestleMania or something.   Now that the premise of the match is completely drenched in laughable kayfabe, it appears the WWE doesn’t care who wears the title anymore.   I'm just curious to see how bad the trainwreck is in the end. To further add to the confusion, the Ultimate Deletion of Bray Wyatt was another previously filmed match that though challenges the boundaries of wrestling entertainment, to what end is ultimately the

A Good Monday to You Enthusiasts! Today we continue our jog to WrestleMania as we wait with bated breath to see whether Brock “Gun Jack” Lesnar is going to make his match worthwhile.  Also, we’ll witness the previously filmed “Ultimate Deletion” of Bray Wyatt courtesy of Matt Hardy.   Well, let's hope the WWE took a few notes from the House of Horrors because this taped content tends not to go over well.   It’s kinda the crux of a live show.   It’s hard to redirect to a screen when you have a live action and aren’t award show. Yet, I do commend the WWE for continuing to try to find new ways to present content.   I don’t mind the thought.   I’m glad someone’s trying to cook up new ideas but the format has to be respected.   People came to see live action so, what’s the stuff on the screen have to do with that?   If they come up with a solid answer, I won’t complain. Besides that, Asuka sees if she can “maintain her streak” against Alexa Bliss.   Hmm, these are both favori

A Good Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! So, we have a few things to contemplate as we continue our steady jog towards WrestleMania.   First of all, Roman Reigns got himself “suspended” on RAW for insubordination over this whole Brock Lesnar matter.   It’s an intriguing angle but I’m not sure how it will play out.   This match is a tricky one.   Creative has sort of painted themselves into a corner with how these 2 have been handled in general over the years and this could help turn this match into something more palatable but, it will take some thought.   We know whatever we see would have been decided.    So, in the event of a Reigns win, there’s a good chance it will be booed but at least the title will be on someone who’s working full-time.   If Lesnar wins, the title continues to be held by someone who’s eyeing leaving the company anyway which could still garner boos but less than what Reigns would get unless they put on a great match. In that case, it may just not matter who

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! So, we open this Monday with a palm to the face as we hear Jeff Hardy gets himself into trouble with a DWI (Driving While Impaired) arrest over the weekend so, his fate is currently in limbo as the matter is investigated.   I hope this blows over.   We all know that the WWE doesn’t have the most reputable of rosters but this is more “rapscallion” type of behavior.   Hopefully, Jeff knows better overall. In any case, with FastLane complete, we turn back to RAW to continue our march to WrestleMania.   We have just about a month to go and so, expect the WWE to pace us a bit, treat this a like a marathon and the start gun went off yesterday.   So, we’ll see Roman Reigns face Brock Lesnar another time in the ring.   Let’s hope we actually want to see what happens.   We remember the last tug-o-war all too well and would rightly “boooo...” something similar.   Whatever they do, I just hope it’s fun.   With this day and age, going for the hard edge just

You'll See. SmackDown Will Be Nice & Limber After FastLane...

G reetings Enthusiasts! Tonight we have FastLane to feast upon and in all honesty, not sure how much it will really matter come WrestleMania time.   Don’t get me wrong.   I’ll watch just the same to get my money’s worth but the thing about the WWE Universe is that it seems to refresh itself daily.   What happens tonight may be followed up on this week’s SmackDown but after that, it’s just that steady jog towards WrestleMania and during all that, anything established tonight, can change.   ‘Tis the nature of this beast.   So, why watch?   Well, to see if the WWE will make it interesting for the most part.  We watch for the blatant entertainment. The thing we must keep in mind the most for this genre is that the way the WWE is structured, all they need do is be entertaining.   Yes, ideally what we watch should make some sort of sense but ultimately, if it puts smiles on our faces, we don’t really care what we see.   So, the draw is to see if the WWE can string some action toge

SMACKDOWN'S Gonna Be So Ready, They're Gonna Have a PPV to Warm-Up...

Happy Tuesday, Enthusiasts. May you enjoy it with tacos!   So, RAW continues to make more sense than usual so, I’m just chocking it up to WrestleMania madness.   Expect it all to deteriorate back into chaos come the  RAW fallout show .   Yet, I will say that The Miz may be on some sort of passion project because I’m not sure if you all caught it but, he took a pretty blatant jab at the concept of Kayfabe by calling out Creative and indirectly management on the supposed obvious conclusion of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon winning their match against Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle.   Now, granted it was more to sell the joke of Angle not coming back next year as opposed to a push for creative rebellion but it did add bite to the segment.   With  an off-handed comment, that match suddenly became null and void and the Triple Threat between The Miz, Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins became the unofficial main event and I’m fine with it. Now, to be completely honest, any smart Enthusiast wo

Don't You Worry...RAW Will Be Ready for the Big Day...

A Good Beginning of the Week to You, Enthusiasts! Anyone catch the Oscars?   It was more fun than I anticipated.   Jimmy Kimmel did a fair job and there were no unwarranted or unwanted hijinks.   So, that leaves us free and clear for RAW and as of now, it’s anyone’s guess as to what the fare will be.   All that’s been scheduled for certain is that Asuka will be going at Nia Jax again to see if she can remain undefeated.   You know how I feel about Nia Jax, I’m waiting for her to get some true competition.  Yet, to be fair to Asuka, she has been making the bouts believable but at the same time, you’re like come on.   She’s literally half her size.   Really?  You can only do the "Davida and Goliatha" thing for so long. Anyway, we know that John Cena’s gonna show up at some point, we are marching towards WrestleMania after all.   He just willed his way into it after the jump to last week’s SmackDown so, he has to keep that charge going.   We’ll see if Ronda Rousey will man
