Was Able Get Clash of Champions Down...Hopefully RAW Is a Good Chaser...

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts! So, who caught Clash of Champions?  To be honest, it wasn’t nearly the clusterfuck I thought it was going to be. There were some things to be desired but given the current state of WWE affairs, it was a better show than I anticipated, that is for sure. When it just came to the wrestling, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro nailed it with the help of ⅔ of the Lucha House Party in the form of Lince Dorado and Kalisto.  The Luchadores are taking jobbing to the next level, I have to say.  It was a fine display of what the WWE has to offer in theory.  It is obvious, the talent isn’t the problem.  Nakamura and Cesaro were smart to just kill it and get out.   As for the rest of the night, it wasn’t bad.  The Ladder Match though creative seemed a little…forced I guess.  The hijinks, though funny, kind of diminished the match.  Sami Zayn, Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles are all great wrestlers in their own right so, to have them “tricked” out of the match could be vi

Here We Are - Clash of Champions...

How Are You, Enthusiasts? What’s left of you.   Those of us who haven’t had it with WWE will tune in on tonight to see what they put together for Clash of Champions.   WWE finds itself in a strange position.   An uncomfortable truth is coming to light and they quickly have to get in front of it.   What’s becoming clear is that WWE simply never really understood story structure.   They had hungry enough superstars who managed to flesh out something for themselves.   Now that WWE has matured into a full-fledged corporation, this overlooked aspect now gains more attention.   Wrestlers now manufactured, the hunger is translated into something that better resembles the reality.   With so much at stake (endorsements, client relations, partnerships etc.), wrestlers don’t exactly have the freedom to do things on the fly.   Nevertheless, WWE may have to find a way to backtrack to an old format in order to make the most of what they got in the meantime. So, here we are at Clash of Champions

So, I Guess SmackDown's the "A" Show Now. It Escorts Us to Clash of Champions...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How are you doing?   Well, the WWE has gotten themselves into one of their pickles.   RAW was seriously panned this week.   Ratings-wise, it was one of the lowest ranking.   Personally, I feel we’ve sat through worse but what I think got everyone’s goat was the attempt at formulating a story, which isn’t a good sign.   It comes off as if WWE tried to present a better show and failed miserably.   I have to say, there’s been a lot less chatter on social media.   WWE is definitely losing face.   Hard to say what they’ll do about it too.   Well, I’m here more for my mental health so, they won’t scare me off so easily.   I use it as an outlet for my aggressive inclinations.   It’s better than getting arrested.   I also enjoy talking shit and there’s always been plenty to work with so, I’m fine.   Wouldn’t mind better product, though.   I think I’ve made myself quite clear on that. In any case, SmackDown is now the de facto “A” show which is not an uncommon t

RAW Screams CLASH OF CHAMPIONS!!!!....I Guess We Should Pay Attention...

Good Evening, Enthusiasts!   How’s everything?   Whole lot of same ole, same ole for  me.   Well, that’s not true.   I’ve been writing a lot more 😉 So, with news that a wrestler needs to be savvy in the WWE Universe floating around, have you seen any differences?   Regardless of the lower ratings, I would say last week’s SmackDown definitely felt more focused.   There was one thing that I could get into but I’ll save that for Friday.   For the most part, it was a solid show.   Roman Reigns even showed that he’s more than willing to play so, that at least assuages concerns that he’d simply be Brock Lesnar’s replacement.   It looks like he’ll be doing his own thing going forward.   I still don’t trust that a match with Jey Uso will happen but whatever comes to pass, I just hope it’s believable.   These sorts of internal adjustments will take some time to fully resonate. So, tonight’s the RAW Go-Home Show for Clash of   Champions.   This isn’t one of the more popular PPVs so I hope

Even When Late, SmackDown Goes On...

Good Evening, Enthusiasts!   How is this Friday treating you?   Well, I hope.   So, we see how the WWE proceeds from here on out.   Now, that how they really work is becoming clearer.    The Finn Balor article is up.   Many will probably agree that WWE completely botched his concept showing that the poor guy didn’t really have a chance.   He was essentially doomed to fail.   Wrestlers have to be careful in the WWE.   They’ll bungle them, toss ‘em and just get a new one ‘til someone takes.   Wrestlers have to have a game plan and loads of charisma to overcome the blatant flaws they’re bound to encounter.   Don’t think they have the answers.   There’s a good chance they never did.   Wrestlers need to be ready and willing to submit their ideas.   At the very least, they need to negotiate to a palatable middle. So, with word of some Ladies returning or potentially returning makes what they do so all the more interesting.   Has word made it to these ladies?   Do they have game plans fo

Well, RAW Is Certainly Acting Like the "A" Show....

How’s It Hanging, Enthusiasts? For this post, I will take a slightly different approach because something has come to light for me.   I suppose it was always there but now that I write for The Wrestling Movement, some of my articles require I do a little research.   Doing so has been enlightening.    Taking a deeper look, you realize that WWE only half knows what it’s doing meaning that wrestlers have to essentially fend for themselves. The WWE Creative Department may have a vague understanding of how to book a match but they only have a basic grasp of presenting Drama.    Wrestlers have to fill in those blanks.   What made that so apparent was an article I was tasked to submit on Finn Balor.   I really feel bad for that dude.    After looking at the evidence, he simply trusted WWE too much.   He was like Ned Stark.   He didn’t know how to play the “Game” and “died” for it.     Let that be a lesson to all the wrestlers on the WWE roster.   If you want to succeed in that company, yo

SmackDown Wants to be "A" Show Again...It's Not Impossible...

How’s Your Friday, Enthusiasts? Staying cool?   California is on fire again.   It’s been hazy the entire week.   But, let’s not dwell on that.   So, you don’t need me to tell you that the big WWE news is Rusev/Miro debuting on AEW.   I honestly didn’t see that coming.   On this very blog I have said that Miro is made for the WWE.   I understand his grievances, though.   WWE has never been perfect but I don’t know if he’ll find any more success on AEW.   I respect it as a wrestling promotion.   I’m glad they hit a million views on the ratings but they still come off like what they are to me.   Everyone who couldn’t find a following with WWE tries their luck at AEW.   So, it looks like a mid-card show essentially.   Sorry. What’s interesting about all this is that I was actually watching AEW this week.   I was curious after all the talk about All Out sucking.   I checked out a few of the matches to see for myself and then watched the show to see how they would handle the fallout.   B

RAW Sees SmackDown. So, Who's the "A" Show?...

Happy Labor Day, Enthusiasts! How is everyone doing?   So, what’s going on in the WWE Universe?   Well, news-wise it’s pretty quiet.   People are still digesting the information of WWE banning 3 rd party interactions via social media.   A lot of the roster has something going on the side so, it’s looking like some sort of compromise may be reached.   The rules and regulations are still being hashed out. As for tonight’s RAW, it’s hard to say what we can expect.   Information is limited outside of Randy Orton stalking the halls.   Yet, looking at the Twitter feed, it could be a fun night.   Last week’s SmackDown was surprisingly coherent so it’s nice to see that WWE Creative is trying to make sense of all this.   Many would say that should have been the case years ago but as we can see, it took some real shit going down for them to stop and take a look under the hood.   We’ll have to keep tuning in to see if the improvements maintain.   That errant “3 rd show” hasn’t turned up for

SmackDown Is Doing Its Part....

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s every little thing?   So, there’s a bit of news circulating in the WWE Universe.   I suppose the biggest news is the banning of 3 rd Party interactions by the WWE.   There are side-hustles that semi-famous types can do like Cameo and Twitch that allow a person to make a little extra scratch and maintain some limelight.   A former co-worker introduced me to Cameo and I have to say, a lot of WWE wrestlers who are now with AEW were on the site at the time.   And if I remember correctly, they were using their real names or other aliases for the most part, or at least I remember seeing Zack Ryder on there as Matt Cordona.   There were a few notables on there at the time.   I don’t know if this has something to do with the incident with Alexa Bliss.   She was paid $400 to essentially turn down a date.   I can see liability issues arising with incidents like that so, WWE may simply be nipping this in the bud before it gets out of hand.    I’m not sure if th
