RAW Sends Those Scheduled Abroad for Crown Jewel V. Everyone Else Can Go Home...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Everything all right for a Monday? Well there are some subtle things floating around at the beginning of this week. My interests are more broad so, if you’re more of a diehard fan I may sound like I’m talking out of my ass but I’m only interested in certain things and only a couple of things caught my interest. Care to talk about them?   First item of business comes from the Land of MLW. Apparently, they have a faction call the Samoan Swat Team and yes, they do have some Bloodline ties. They were backing Jacob Fatu (The Usos’ and Reigns’ other cousin) but now, it looks like they’re free agents. Lance Anoa’i, as you can gather, is a cousin of Roman Reigns not sure if there is a direct relation to The Usos and it appears that Juicy Finau is a Tongan “adoptee”. Could we see them make their way as bit players in the Bloodline in the coming months? 🤷‍ I guess we shall see.   Following the Reigns theme, the wrestling trades are picking up a whiff

SmackDown Checks that Everything Is Booked for Crown Jewel...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   How’s everyone living? As good as I hope you can. I am aiming for a bit better but it’s a Tortoise vs. The Hare sort of situation. Got to be savvy more than quick. But I won’t bore you with that.   In the Wrestling World, it’s been kind of a slow week if you’re more the casual viewer. There are a few things to talk about so, let’s get to it.   First order of business is that Ric Flair is back in the fray again. He debuted on AEW this past Wednesday on Dynamite . As the story goes, he’s Sting’s retirement “gift”. As many of you probably know, Sting announced his retirement and since he’s about 530 years old, it’s bittersweet but understandable. Sting is another one I missed out on but I respect the legacy he’s established in the Industry. Regardless of not having witnessed it myself, I certainly know who the man is so, that stands for something.   Flair definitely isn’t in the best shape so, I’m not sure what he’s gonna do besides show up for

RAW Keeps Things On Schedule Ahead of Crown Jewel...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Hope your complaints are few, though I’m sure there’s plenty you could sound off about. It’s just that sort of time. There’s a lot going on in the world at present. Plenty to be concerned about. It’s no wonder I find my escape in wrestling/sports entertainment. Well, there’s not all that much going on at the start of this week but there are few things to toss around. Shall we? First up, AEW appears to be in a ticket sales slump. Hype for Survivor Series seems to be leaving them in the dust and it’s hard to say how they change things. I do take a look at what they’re doing from time to time just to compare and contrast and WWE is still the far more polished product. Good wrestlers are good wrestlers so that shows when they’re left to do their thing but a lot of the content reads as immature and juvenile, far more so than WWE current fare so that may be a bit of a hurdle. The last time I watched, the bro-humor was rampant and I’m not sure if everyone is a fan

SmackDown Keeps Us on Track for Crown Jewel...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! Well, there’s not that much to toss around today but there are few little tidbits to gnaw on. Let’s get into it, shall we. First thing of note is that CM Punk in WWE may not be completely off the table. Rumors are that there’s been some movement on the matter but in which direction remains to be seen. This is the sort of thing I was talking about. Given that Punk still generates talk and attention, I don’t think WWE would not reconsider him.  I just feel that with that, this return has to be handled carefully and quietly. If they want it to be a surprise, I won’t be surprised if we don’t see him at Survivor Series but hopefully they get the response they want when he’s a surprise entrant at the Royal Rumble or shows up at WrestleMania. All I’m saying is if they can keep the drama on TV, you’ve got gold. I’m all for it and hope they work something out. In the WWE Universe, the big thing floating around at present is that it has been decided tha

RAW Tries to Keep Focus on Crown Jewel?...

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts. How’s it going? Well, the Wrestling World doesn’t have too much going on so this should be a short post. Let’s break down what little is floating around, shall we? Reports are circulating that we can breathe easy given that with the WWE/UFC merger Ari Emanuel has taken it upon himself to keep Mr. Vince McMahon out of Creative. From what I’m hearing, it’s more to keep Mr. McMahon focused on running the business so that Triple H can focus on keeping us entertained.  Now, I know things used to be really bad. That’s the whole reason I started this blog. To talk shit about the crap they were putting on television. It was consistently barely palatable. If you ask my mom, it wasn’t palatable at all. There were some fun times but they were hard to call, that was for sure. Whoever is handling Creative now is doing a more consistent and cohesive job so, why go back to half-assed, crapshoots?  I know everyone has generally defaulted to blaming Mr. McMahon but

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Everything all right? Can’t say that I have much to complain about. There are few things but…they should get resolved shortly. In the meantime, we have a few things to chat about. Let’s get into it. So, for what it’s worth, WWE considered taking CM Punk back and then passed on it, according to recent reports which I find a little surprising. So much so, that I wouldn’t be surprised if this was some disinformation.  I say this because the best way to get the most out of Punk returning to the WWE fray is that it’s a surprise. At this rate, everyone would know before it happened. You saw how Edge going over to AEW worked. No one was surprised. Everyone was saying it was gonna happen ‘cause WWE didn’t have much for him. So, might as well jump ship. When it comes to Punk, making this a “big deal” is what’s key so, if they don’t bring him back for Survivor Series, they may keep him in wait for WrestleMania, maybe the Royal Rumble but I think they want us to move

RAW Fallout - FastLane 2023

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   FastLane has come and gone and I’ll just say that I was a little underwhelmed but not exactly disappointed. There was a lot of lead up and I thought they’d do more with it but in the end, they defaulted to pleasing the fans and keeping the Men’s and Women’s Titles right where they are.   In that respect, the only real surprise was not pulling the trigger on Shinsuke Nakamura. That’s the only thing that I don’t fully understand. Given the lead up, all that leaves me to feel is if not now, when? What was all that for, then? I can understand the thinking that Seth Rollins is more interesting story-wise but Nakamura deserves to have his due. I guess we’ll see if WWE leaves him hanging or not.   As for Match of the Night, most felt Nakamura vs. Rollins took the cake. For me, I leaned more towards Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes vs. The Judgment Day with Damian Priest & Finn Bálor. It was a lot of fun and was well-paced. I was hoping for some more dra

How’s Everything Going, Enthusiasts? Well I hope. So, this is a very interesting time in the WWE Universe. It’s like for the first time in a long time they’ve understood the assignment. What could have and has been very whatever in the past suddenly has some bite and excitement. There’s so much to consider but I’ll touch on like, half of it. I was debating over whether to close or open with the Ladies and I figured I should lead off. The Ladies have really solidified themselves in recent years so, we don’t really have to worry about a good match. It will be more a matter of whether we care. That sounds, crass in the sense that it’s not that these aren’t talented people but it’s such a given, there aren’t any real stakes. What will matter is how fun/entertaining the match is.  There’s a lot of room to have fun with an inherent rivalry in the works being the preeminent Japanese Ladies on the roster. There’s also news of Kairi Sane returning to WWE as well. Could that be a shocker lying

SmackDown Says Go Home but Stay Close...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s everything going? It’s a hot one in SoCal. I’m sitting here melting, but that doesn’t keep me from blogging. You can call me “devoted” 😉 In any case, there are few things to chat about today. So, let’s get into it. We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as we have now the “Copeland Era” yet, it may not be quite the dynasty some may have hoped. I heard that Edge/Adam Copeland’s debut on Dynamite wasn’t very well-rated but that may have been due to a streaming glitch. Word is that the TV Listing was showing at 4pm in some areas leading to some confusion and perhaps lost viewers.  Regardless, I felt compelled to support Copeland so I took a gander via On Demand services. Well, AEW definitely has its charm yet I still feel more satisfied with WWE fare. However, there were some bright spots. Rey Fenix certainly proved himself and a former NXT/WWE-er in Toni Storm is embracing her inner hysterics as she tries on a Sunset Boulevard -like gimmick.  I appreciate S

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Can’t say I have all that much to report. Weekend was pretty chill. Though we do have something to talk about, there's not all that much in total so let’s just get into it. So, it’s official. Edge/Adam Copeland is now All Elite. He has made the jump to AEW and seems to be excited about the change. We’ll see if this works out for him. I’m not sure what to expect for him since I get the feeling he’ll be more appreciated behind the scenes than in the ring but who knows. I guess it all depends on how he holds up. His debut match is slated for Oct. 10 th against Luchasaurus. That could seem fun or ridiculous depending on your viewpoint. This is why I’m not quite sure how to feel but I do hope that it makes Uncle Edge happy. What seems clear is that we generally wish Edge well in his new endeavors and let’s just hope there’s a nice exit clause in his contract and that WWE is willing to take him back should things not work out. I’ll just leave it there. As we
