SmackDown Can Multi-Task. They'll Take Some Dessert with Business...

Image
Happy Tuesday, Enthusiasts! Well, RAW was certainly spirited to start, even with Roman Reigns opening with a promo.  All went relatively well actually, until after Samoa Joe’s surprise jumping of the Big Dog.  After that, it was a sloppy, sloppy mess.  Not sure if plans were changed at the last minute or if bedlam was what was on the docket but it quickly crashed and burned in the last hour.   The Cruiserweights were a bright spot, I must say, but after that…could have been better.  Would I call it a disaster?  No.  Not by WWE standards by a long shot but, quizzical was the apt adjective to describe the revolving door of wrestlers that finally landed on Braun Strowman giving Dad (Kane) what for.  Not sure what happened there.  Let’s just say someone turned the fan on and that was that to the final notes. Anyway, we now have SmackDown to establish some sense of order after such a chaotic evening.  It shouldn’t be too hard.  The Viper, in Randy Orton is slated to appear and d

The Feast Is Over! Back to RAW Business...

Greetings, Enthusiasts! I hope Thanksgiving stuffed you all to the gills.   Now, it’s back to it with Christmas and New Year’s in our sights.   To be honest, though this year boasts WWE events for the remaining holidays I can’t help but feel a little bittersweet for the roster.   This schedule has got to suck. In any case, tonight gets us back into the WWE swing of things with not much to report.   We’ll get a look at Roman Reigns potentially.   There’s talk of putting the Intercontinental Championship up for the “Open Challenge” with his boys Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins contemplating reclaiming the tag-team titles.   Meanwhile, Paige will be storming the halls with her NXT Wrecking Crew looking for fresh meat and after that, Mr. Braun Strowman will weigh the consequences of seeking revenge on Dad (Kane).    You may not expect it, but tonight’s episode could be a surprise success mainly because of the proverbial “blank slate” that lies before us.   Though the WWE does this oft

SmackDown Still Hits Hardest, Though...

I know it 😉 Happy Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! I hope it’s going well.  So, RAW pretty much shut the door on Survivor Series having come up with the win and now SmackDown must suffer through the loss.  This may have Shane McMahon carrying some consternation heading into Thanksgiving for he both has to thank and resent his brother-in-law, Triple H for the final conclusion.  I don’t mind the ending if they lead it into something.  If it’s just something to do, I’m already over it.  Why leave everyone hanging for no reason?  Save antagonizing for the ring if you ask me.  If you’re gonna put it out there it better at least be for a good reason.  I don’t think they’re going to be too loose with it but I’ll be watching 'em.  I’m all for not thinking too much but I do appreciate some thought. Besides that, AJ Styles continues to nurse wounds as he reestablishes himself within the Blue Brand and that my lead to some sort of face off with Jinder Mahal.  Mahal would probably w

RED Always Survives! - RAW May Now Brag Away...

Good Evening, Enthusiasts! So, Survivor Series was…interesting to say the least.   I won’t say I didn’t like it.   Triple H was true to form and ensured what he intended would transpire and this was so.   The question marks come in the form of Braun Strowman’s blatant insubordination.    Is he now going to be a threat to The Authority as opposed to an enforcer?   Well, Triple H isn’t scheduled for this evening and none too surprisingly, neither is Brock Lesnar.   Though House RAW holds bragging rights, what happens next is certainly up for debate. The other plot twist in the form of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens going rogue and turning against Shane McMahon is also something to note.   There’s talk of them potentially defecting to RAW but we will see if there’s any validity to that.   There’s also word that some of SmackDown’s roster are in-house tonight as well so, could some sore-losing also be in store?   It’s all wide open at the moment.   All we can really do is wait and see.   D

Who Shall Rule the WWE Realm!

A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts! Tonight is a tense one as we brace ourselves for the epic battles that will determine who has dominance within the WWE Universe.   It’s clear it’s all about the Bragging Rights because there are no titles on the line. It’s just feet to asses and we’ll be keeping score.   The thing about tonight’s PPV is that it’s supposed to be jam packed with action but, we know that more often than not, what’s supposed to keep us captivated is hit or miss.   This evening could potentially bore us for up to 5 hours.   I don’t think that’s going happen but I definitely do not expect to be riveted for the entire time. So, what we can expect is that all eyes will be on the Elimination Matches so, I expect those to be at the very least, interesting.   There’s a lot that could happen and hopefully it’s not a bunch of obvious play-fighting.   The same goes for the bout set with The Shield vs. the New Day.   This could be a sleeper hit for me beca

Will SmackDown Conquer!

Dunno, guess we’ll see… What’s Happening, Enthusiasts! Well, RAW closed with its own sort of bang with Dad (Kane) and Braun Strowman battling to prove who’s the biggest of them all!  The battle resulted in Strowman slamming Dad through the ring.  I sense the attempt at epic-ness but it was simply surprising.   It’s hard to be "Epic!" in this Day and Age.  They probably shouldn't try to stage that anymore.  The night's either awesome or it's not.  Nevertheless, after some anticipation, Strowman emerged to proclaim his dominance but I don’t know…Dad always has a trick up his sleeve.  Can’t wait until they let him just wear slacks and a wife-beater again, though.  He’s getting too old for the usual get-up. So, tonight we will be awaiting the strike that lets SmackDown know that House RAW remembers Green Bay.  Word has it that there are plenty of members of the RAW faction in attendance tonight so, who knows where they’ll pop out.  Word also has it that

Will RAW Stand Tall?....

It is hard to say 😉 A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! Well, this week could be a very exciting one seeing how we have the Go-Home Shows for both RAW and SmackDown going into Survivor Series.   Speculations abound as to how House RAW will manage to gain some ground after the 2 demoralizing showings against House SmackDown.   There is some hope with Roman Reigns' return and Brock “Gun Jack” Lesnar has a scheduled appearance, as well.   Yet, things could get interesting when you take into consideration what’s planned for Survivor Series. Roman Reigns’ return will be put to some use but how it will all come together is hard to figure.  The rumors wafting through the air is that the New Day will potentially face The Shield seeing how they cost Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins the Tag Team Titles.  Retribution may be imminent.  The thing that pairing may lack is chemistry, though.  There's no guarantee this match-up is going to be a good one.  If you ask me, I&

SmackDown's All About Shepherd's Pie!...That's Right! Shepherd's Pie...

A Happy Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! So, last night’s RAW wasn’t too bad, actually.  There were definitely some dead spots but the vibe seemed to be more “make it work” so, it was made palatable.  Yet, the take home I would say, if they’re going to loosely adhere to a Game of Thrones theme, is that Kurt Angle took House SmackDown bait which left him caught with his pants down so to speak as Cesaro and Sheamus took the RAW Tag Team titles from Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.   The question here is whether there is solidarity for the RAW Faction.  It appears to be plagued with in-fighting, selfish motives and a frazzled leader.  Will that be a factor at Survivor Series?  We shall see. As for tonight, we’ll see some more tension build between the 2 Houses as Shane McMahon proclaims a new era with SmackDown at the forefront.   He’ll also issue up the fates of Dad (Kane) and Stephanie McMahon in regards to the jumping of Daniel Bryan but, it may be some time before we see justice

Oy! We'll Take Our RAW with Bangers & Mash!....

Greetings Enthusiasts, Well, the WWE Universe is on another one of its jaunts across the pond so, we can expect a bit of good old hooliganism from our foreign brethren.   Since we’re in tape-delay territory, spoilers abound but from what I’m reading, it’s still a little, how do you say, spotty.     Well, see if it turns out to be a palatable show. What is obvious though is that both Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns are still out of action though Wyatt has been working House shows.   I should also mention that for those who like to be in the know, Triple H has been filling in at House Shows too during Reigns' absence, yet that is not the case for TV and rightly so.   A commenter around one of the wrestling news outlets put it best by basically stating that to do that would confirm the WWE believes its fans are mentally handicapped.   We the Audience would allow that substitution as a treat for the House Shows but in terms of TV Play that’s just stupid without any real lead-u
