RAW Fallout - FastLane 2023

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   FastLane has come and gone and I’ll just say that I was a little underwhelmed but not exactly disappointed. There was a lot of lead up and I thought they’d do more with it but in the end, they defaulted to pleasing the fans and keeping the Men’s and Women’s Titles right where they are.   In that respect, the only real surprise was not pulling the trigger on Shinsuke Nakamura. That’s the only thing that I don’t fully understand. Given the lead up, all that leaves me to feel is if not now, when? What was all that for, then? I can understand the thinking that Seth Rollins is more interesting story-wise but Nakamura deserves to have his due. I guess we’ll see if WWE leaves him hanging or not.   As for Match of the Night, most felt Nakamura vs. Rollins took the cake. For me, I leaned more towards Jey Uso & Cody Rhodes vs. The Judgment Day with Damian Priest & Finn Bálor. It was a lot of fun and was well-paced. I was hoping for some more dra

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts.   So, who watched Fastlane? It wasn’t all bad but some it definitely left something to be desired. General consensus puts Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns as match of the night with Edge taking the heel turn. Drew McIntyre and Sheamus get second place. It would have been my first if Sheamus got the win but hopefully he gets his due come Summer Slam.   The Fiend fans loved his return but you know me, Enthusiasts. My eyes rolled far back into my head. I’m never going to like this angle. And I’m being consistent because I never cared for The Undertaker’s spiel either. I’ll accept the outlandish when it’s properly established and The Fiend is just not. I’m not that big of a horror fan so I’ll always say let Wyatt draft the 90 min. script and have done. Randy Orton gets points for being a trooper. He’s making gallons of lemonade with this shit.   As for the match of the night, I agree with what the WWE Universe is saying for the most part.   I lik

A Good Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! Everything going okay?   Can’t say I can really complain.   Well, here we are at the FastLane Fallout for SmackDown and for once, they have to clean up their own mess.   Last week’s show was surprisingly sub-par for their standards.  Primarily, I felt the set-up for the match with Charlotte and Becky Lynch to close the evening fell quite flat.   A battered and bruised Lynch hobbles out and on sheer will and determination sends Charlotte scuttling backstage.   Personally, I thought the bit brought down the intensity of the feud.   I went from sinking my teeth into it, to dropping it. Mainly because the feud went from believable to ridiculous.   It’s like thinking you’re going for pizza and not until you take a bite of your so-called “pepperoni pizza” do you realize that it’s a vegan joint and not the kind that fools you.   I understand that Lynch is hot right now but against a strong character like Charlotte, this sort of unstoppability I just

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! Did you catch FastLane?   You know what, it wasn’t all that bad.   I have to say it was one of the more engaging PPVs in quite some time.   There were some “last minute” changes that had the Cien Almas vs. Rey Mysterio match converted into a Fatal-4-Way with R-Truth & Samoa Joe and moved to the main show while The New Day vs. Rusev &  Shinsuke Nakamura opened during the Kick-Off Show.   This actually was a fun match that opened festivities on a high note.   It was comforting to see.   It was also nice to see WWE Creative make things interesting by tossing in some drama, teasing us with the Kofi Kingston and the RAW Women’s Title match. There is some talk that the women’s matches got the short end of the stick, though and not to condone it but do remember this is a relatively new format.   Not to say there weren’t some talented lasses that have graced WWE’s halls, it’s just that more often than not, they were noted for their sex appeal then prow
