WWE Left Us a Pre-Recorded Show This SmackDown...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   How’s everything? Well, some news dropped today so, let’s get right into what’s buzzing around.   So, WWE decided to do their NXT releases this week and there are a few surprises. To be honest, I didn’t know who the bulk of them were but I did hear of Dakota Kai and Dexter Lumis along with Parker Boudreaux/Harland. Boudreaux was particularly hyped up ‘cause he was basically the next version of Brock Lesnar. Guess his charisma wasn’t reading.   Well, most are more surprised at Dakota Kai and I can’t really comment. I just know of her. I’m not very familiar with her work so, I’m not particularly gutted by this announcement and honestly, I feel most should view this more matter-of-factly. We all know WWE does their periodic releases. Given how they used to hoard talent it can be argued that this systematic trimming of it is a good thing. True, it’s always sad to hear of someone being let go but we all have to admit that it is a fact of life. We all

How’s This Monday Treating You, Enthusiasts? Well, I hope. It is just the start of another week. I won’t presume it’s any more wondrous than the last. So, wrestling-wise there isn’t too much to chat about but enough, I think. I can ramble on about at least 3 topics. How does that sound? Let’s get to it. So, most of this will revolve around the WWE Universe. Word is that Mustafa Ali may return to TV soon. What makes this interesting is his status with WWE. Having requested his release and being denied, we wonder what he may be made to do and how willing he may be to do it. I really hope that if this is true, some sort of truce was reached. News like this is never a good look and I don’t know why WWE would like to have news like this being half-way true. I understand being a “Heel Company” but there has to be a cheekiness to that stance. It has to be more comical than credo to live by. Shit like this fuels calls for unionization. Not that it’s happening but you can see how it could be

Don't Care About Backlash? SmackDown Tries to Change That...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   How’s everyone doing? I hope you’re doing well for the most part. You know, no true grievances. So, there are few things we can chat about. Nothing is setting the “world on fire” but it’s something kick around. Shall we get to it?   So, let’s start outside of WWE. AEW and New Japan have joined forces to set up the first “Forbidden Door” PPV event. I understand that this is historic, but it’s ultimately lost on me. I’m more partial to Sports Entertainment so as everyone clamors at the news I simply note that people find it interesting. It’s not that it’s not the big deal people say, it’s just that it doesn’t mean much to me. I’m glad that the wrestling industry is evolving. It has to if it is to survive, but I won’t be going out of my way to purchase this PPV. Yet, if I get word of any awesome matches, I’ll take some time to watch it just to broaden my wrestling view. Nothing wrong with that. But I’m not going to lie and say I’m trying to become a co

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! For those who celebrated, did you have a good Easter? I just took it easy. I’m more spiritual than religious. I tried out a new Pho restaurant to commemorate the day. As for the news of the Wrestling World, meh, it’s been kinda slow in my opinion. People are talking about stuff but it’s nothing that interests me. It’s kinda how wrestling fans appear to be in general. WWE is in its No Man’s Land and AEW is flirting with New Japan. People love chatting about “Forbidden Door” stuff but it’s something I only glance at. I try to keep abreast but I’m not dying to watch any of it. I understand my interest in Sports Entertainment. I’m not the best connoisseur but I’m a steady one.  In any case, I’ll keep this brief since there’s not much going on. WWE has some questionable yet typical things planned for tonight’s RAW. There’s going to be a 24/7 Title Double Marriage. I’m going to try to view this with my silly goggles but my eyes may just roll anyway. Kev

SmackDown Shows Up to Do Its Part for BackLash...

A Good Friday to You Enthusiasts.   This week, that actually applies (^_~) I hope this is a good Easter weekend for you. As for the Wrestling World, there are some rumblings. Not everything really interests me but it’s circulating so, I’ll chat about it. Why not.   So, the first bit going around is the end of this week’s AEW Dynamite. Apparently, AEW pulled a sort of WWE move by having Satnam Singh ruin a Samoa Joe win. AEW says it’s to gain popularity with the Indian demographic. I find this interesting. Mainly because I never thought AEW was any better than WWE. AEW was just doing their own thing, not necessarily a better thing. I’ve said that’s really the only difference. All these gals/guys are just doing their shit as opposed to WWE’s. Neither one is getting any Emmy nods.   The only thing WWE really has over AEW is their production values. We all know WWE is better funded. And with this WarnerMedia and Discovery merger in the works, AEW may have some corporate pressu

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Is this Monday treating you well? I can’t say I should complain. I could but there are people suffering worse atrocities. I would just be bitching and moaning. Rather do something more worthwhile with my time. Don’t get me wrong. I’ll have my bitch sessions but for this arena, there’s no real need. Things have been fairly tame in the wrestling world.  A thought that seems to have caught a few people’s attention is the status of Roman Reigns. The titles “unified” what is next? Well, is that really a question we want to ask in the WWE Universe? It has become quite clear that they’re thinking it up as they go. Whenever you hear reports of Creative having nothing for people, I always find that’s grounds to question Creative in general. All your job is, is to have ideas for people. You really don’t have any? Recently, Shotzi Blackheart seems to be suffering from Creative’s writing blockage. Just off the top of my head, why doesn’t she try to rally the women tr

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   I hope it’s a good one for you. So, there are few things floating around in the Wrestling World. I’m sure many of you are concerned with other things or other points that are circulating but here’s what piqued my interested.   So, Corey Graves and Carmella are official. Congratulations to the happy couple. They seem honest and complimentary, so I hope this lasts. You can never say in this day and age but they seem to have what it takes to at least make a genuine go of it. Mazel tov!   In AEW news, Tony Khan has a new bee in his bonnet. He alleges that much of the anti-AEW talk on social media is boosted by bots. I don’t know who cares that much to defame them. The insinuation is that WWE is behind it but I would think that if we had social media in the early late 90s to early aughts. WWE was spiteful then. But nowadays, that sort of behavior isn’t considered “woke” I would say. Why waste time belittling others when you can improve yourself. This

RAW Has WrestleMania Fallout...As Always...

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts.   So, how did you like this year’s WrestleMania? I have to say it was one of their better shows in a long time. There were only a few low spots but both nights were otherwise great. That’s the standard they should set for themselves. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t own every PPV/Premier Live Event.   A lot of people had problems with Day II’s main event with Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns being old news out 3 years ago, the “cut for time” finish didn’t help either. I don’t even know if it achieved the Heel tactic of simply pissing off the crowd. It just seemed to stop suddenly. I think there would be a lot less flak if they just played the match out. Made it competitive, left a complete mess, we would have accepted the earnest destruction. Not sure what the thinking was on that one but WWE unified their titles. Now, they have to hold our interest.   As for Match of the Night, I would say Pat McAfee and Austin Theory did exactly what t

WrestleMania 38 - Day II

Happy Closing Day of WrestleMania,   Well, Day I was a solid night of action. I don’t think many of us can say different. I like this. This gives people real motivation to go out and do their best. That’s all it really should be about. This should be very human, very visceral. That’s why it resonates. That’s why there’s nothing like it. Even if you don’t know who anyone is, you can walk in and get it if it’s set up right.   Yet, story of the night did require some backstory, though. Let’s not lie. There is a wrestling divide due to Cody Rhodes’ departure. However, this may not be a bad thing. This inherent story makes it all interesting at a base level. It is a human drama. Rhodes has essentially returned home. He had every right to storm off and partake in the creation of an alternative. It was the only way he would ever be heard. It may be hard to hear but I feel it is very true. Well, we all heard him loud and clear tonight and I saw him in those Stardust days. It’s not his

Happy Opening Day of WrestleMania,   Hope you get to sit back and enjoy the show in peace. So, there are some question marks that have yet to be addressed. Today they should get answered. As you know, I don’t breakdown everything. I just hit the points of interest so, let’s get to it. I’ll be brief.   We’ll start with Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch II. These ladies just have to have fun with it. Keep it nice and competitive and just go. If they can work in some appropriate shit talk too, we should all be happy with the outcome of this one. All they need to do is flip a coin and the outcome is fine with me.   Seth Rollins vs. Whoever is next. I really want to see if they make this interesting whether it’s Cody Rhodes or not. As I said in the previous post, there’s some talk that Shane McMahon is in town to fill the void but others say that’s just what he does come WrestleMania, he catches the show. I will reiterate that I think using Shane as a sub is a bad idea. Though I can

Happy WrestleMania Eve!....

A Merry WrestleMania Friday to You, Enthusiasts.   How’s it treating you? I’ve had worse ones; I’ll just say that. So, there’s still a lot of speculation and question marks hovering in the air. Let’s talk about a few of them, shall we?   Will or won’t Cody Rhodes appear this weekend is still being debated. Word is now that he bailed. I’m sticking to what I thought before. I think all of this is some sort of work. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s behind the scenes discussions as to whether to debut him now or later. The surprise of it is kinda ruined so I don’t blame them reconsidering when to do this but if they don’t do it now, they shouldn’t go for the lame substitution. With Kevin Owens goading fans with the hope of Steve Austin recently, that may have run the WWE Universe’s general tolerance to a new low. Not that Owens didn’t execute the Heel move well, it’s just that many fans have been teetering on their last straw for a while and if some of the rumors are true, to hav
