SmackDown Finalizes the Outfits It's Gonna Take (to Puerto Rico - BackLash)

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! I hope it is a good one for you. As for the Wrestling World, there are some things going on but most of it is not very definitive so this will be a short post. Let’s get on with it, shall we. To start, there was speculation that Trinity Fatu f.k.a. Naomi may debut in Impact this week but it doesn’t look like that came to pass just yet. Regardless, I feel we all wish her well in her future endeavors. Speaking of speculations, it’s floating around that WWE will be interested in a lot of AEW talent at the end of the year. Many of their contracts are coming up for review and if they aren’t renewed, WWE may swoop in and claim whomever it deems fit.  I think the bulk of us are anticipating the acquisition of MJF. AEW may fight for him but I don’t think they need to. He’s so young, they should let him spread his proverbial wings. As for reacquisitions, I hope for Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, Malakai/Aleister Black, Buddy Matthews/Murphy and PAC/Neville.  I know some of

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Monday treating you well? How about the weekend? Was it good? Hope so. I have to say mine was a mixed bag but certainly nothing to complain about. So, as for the Wrestling World, there are few piques of interest circulating. Not too many so this won’t be that long of a post. Let’s get into it, shall we? So, what’s interesting about today is that tonight’s RAW is in Chicago and you know who’s from Chicago, right? CM Punk and supposedly Punk was at the Allstate Arena “visiting”. Word is that Mr. Vince McMahon is also in attendance tonight and that when he caught wind of Punk’s presence, Punk was informed to depart from the premises, which he did without incident. Is there more to this story or is Punk just being neighborly? Hard to say. General thoughts are that Punk is set to return to AEW soon so, it could be just a whole bunch of nothing. Many feel that if Punk was asked to leave it was due to his on-going contract with AEW so, there’s that.  Well, if he w

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts. I hope the week treated you well. So, there are some points of interest to chat about. Let’s get comfortable and have a talk for a little bit. How’s that? The first item of business is that Sasha Banks a.k.a. Mercedes Moné appears to be making herself at home in Japan. Word is she’s loving it and making plans to make this transition more official by enrolling in Japanese language school. Good for her!  I wasn’t sure how the change would go but I can attest that the year I spent in Japan was one of the best of my life. Granted, I was in college at the time but it’s one the big risks I’m glad I took. It appears she is experiencing a similar wonder to the change in environment.  The only caveat was the Insider/Outsider general cultural dynamic. If you don’t look Japanese, that will always be what typically divides you. I spoke with many people who have lived there and it’s hard to get past being a foreigner. You could speak, read and write Japanese fluently but

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Hope the weekend treated you well. It’s a mixed bag in the Wrestling World at the start of the week but there’s enough to chat about so, let’s get into it shall we? Let’s start with AEW news as word is a CM Punk return is imminent. The plan is for him to feud with Chris Jericho upon his return, which Jericho appears to be well ahead of given his “chatter” in regards to Punk on social media. Let’s see if they can have fun with making Punk the “Scourge of Wrestling”. The name of the game is to make being pissy funny. I think these 2 can do it. I’ll check in periodically to see if they manage it. Back over in the WWE Universe, there’s some concern regarding Drew McIntyre. His social media accounts seem to have gone “dark” with minimal reference to WWE. There has been talk that his contract expires soon and that negotiations haven’t been going that well. Could this be the end of the road when it comes to McIntyre’s time with WWE? Like I said recently, he could

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! I hope it’s a good one for you. As for the Wrestling World, there’s actually some news to chat about and mostly not of the WWE variety. Shall we discuss? So, first thing is that Jeff Hardy returned to AEW television this week which I think was a genuine surprise. Word having spread that he was recovering from eye surgery, I don’t think anyone expected him to show up anywhere but there he was.  He looked good enough from what I could tell. Maybe half a step slower. Maybe a little stiff but that’s to be expected. What’s going around now is that he’ll be kept out of matches for the time being so he can fully recover. Regardless, it’s nice to see him back in action. Also in AEW news, there’s talk that CM Punk may be back soon. Well, if he is, AEW looks like it’s taking my idea of going with Punk being the Scourge of Wrestling with the likes of Chris Jericho and others publicly giving their “thumbs down” opinions. There’s even talk that AEW is considering its own

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Just a Spring day in Los Angeles over here. Well, there are a few things to toss around. It’s all WWE related but that’s my focus. Should be no surprise. Let’s not waste any time and get into it, shall we? So first, we have some speculations. To start, there’s been talk that Bayley may be thinking of pulling a Sasha Banks and head over to Japan but those may be false alarms. Other reports attribute her recent social media talk to be storyline related. We shouldn’t be reading too much into it.  Same goes for the second set of speculations revolving around Drew McIntyre. There’s talk that his contract is up soon and that there has yet to be an agreement.  Many think this is why McIntyre has been absent but word going around is that he’s either injured or sick. Don’t know whether that’s just code for “mind your business” but I don’t think we should worry too much about McIntyre leaving WWE. Not sure he’d really work anywhere else.  No doubt he could pick up wo

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How is everyone doing? Well, there’s certainly some stuff to chat about. I think you know what I’ll land on, among a few other things. Shall we get into it? Before I get into the “state of WWE”, let’s talk on a few things going around the Wrestling World. The first of which appears to be Jeff Hardy seems to be on the mend in more ways than one. There was some fan sightings circulating on social media with a grayer Hardy obliging for photos. Also, word is that he is recovering from “eye surgery” and spending time with family.  He definitely looked more weathered from what I saw but not in a disconcerting way. We all know he “lives the life” so to speak. He could be in a lot worse shape. It’s nice to see him finding his center. I’m sure I’m like many and wish him a fast yet complete recovery. In AEW news, the big reveal going around is that this Jay White that I’ve been hearing about signed with them. I don’t know who he is so, the news is somewhat lost on me a

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Did you enjoy WrestleMania? Well, I think Night 1 won the evenings overall, hands down, but I think Night 2 ended just as it ought to have. Yet, you all know there is bigger news circulating so, let’s talk about that and then breakdown Sunday night. So, it happened. UFC and WWE have merged into some sort of MMA, sports entertainment infused super conglomerate. Now, as much as I wasn’t buying into the hype, I know that there tends to be a modicum of truth in rumor. I just didn’t want to jump to conclusions like so many commenters do.  However, this may be the elusive “perfect buyer” that I didn’t know existed. This solution could hold WWE to some accountability and UFC could veto absolutely atrocious ideas that WWE sometimes try to float. The “realness” of UFC will probably push WWE to present itself more realistically which could iron out a lot of their shoddier ways of presenting content due to no one “questioning management”. Yet, as hopeful as I may seem

A Good Day 2 to You, Enthusiasts.   How did you like last night? I have to say, it was a delight. I had a lot of fun. It was exactly what it should have been. It was big. It was flashy but not quite over the top. I think it was respectably spectacular, a fine standard.   Most feel that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn facing The Usos was Match of the Night and Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley is currently making a play for the top spot, but for just straight pure entertainment it was the Tag Team Fatal-4-Way that was MOTN for me.   I really didn’t even expect half that. They really just let loose out there and it worked. Everyone just genuinely did their jobs with big smiles on their faces. It was incredible! Really great time. That was a game changing match. I would say it definitely put Chad Gable, Angelo Dawkins and Ricochet on the map. Ricochet more for first timers and such. If they didn’t know who he was before, they know who he is now.   That’s the kind of thing I like t
