Wowzers....So, TLC....

A Merry Sunday to You, Enthusiasts.     My, this is an interesting time in the WWE Universe. For those of you wishing that an overhaul would someday come, the time may be soon. As I deduced, WWE is getting its ass handed to them in the boardroom and they now have no choice but to up their game or get written off as a joke. Never thought the day would come but, when you look at the content, I’m sure many aren’t sure why it didn’t happen sooner. Well, if you ask me…they didn’t think it was that bad. Numbers don’t lie.     So, what does all this mean for TLC? Well, we’ll still have to see. Given their attempt to make 2020 a Cartoon Heel, it’s hard to say how the creative department thinks. I would say they think the audience is predominantly under 13. So not true, this could be what’s at the core of the issue. Creative doesn’t know how to cater to its audience. Again, what’s the point of them? Wrestlers should view this as an opening. They definitely need to start pitching their o

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! Hope all is well.   So, TLC was actually a lot of fun!   I know some people had some problems with it but I enjoyed it.   The matches I touched on more or less made the grade.   Bray Wyatt and The Miz had potential but as I’ve been saying, Wyatt appears to be having a hard time landing his reinvention in person and last night was no different.   It was a  little more palatable but for me, I’m not seeing the point of getting in the ring if he’s not going to throw down.   Nothing is really happening in these matches.   The only thing that happened is that a cleaned up Daniel Bryan “reappeared” and laid waste to Wyatt.   That would have been even more fun if Wyatt and Miz actually threw down but no, Wyatt opted for masochism and then sudden dismantling of the Miz.   The match fell flat but Bryan kept it afloat. Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy were true to form and apparently didn’t hold back.   Hopefully, there’s no hard feelings as Black may h

TLC Is Here to Close Out 2019!!

Greetings, Enthusiasts! Sunday going smoothly for you?   Well, for those of us who are curious, we are set to gather around for the final PPV of 2019 in the form of Tables, Ladders and Chairs, affectionately known as TLC.   What to expect from tonight’s offering is a bit nebulous because there doesn’t appear to be anything really on the line here.   The title matches were held on RAW so that basically leaves this as a space to blow out the year.   The question will be will that happen, though? The last 2 PPVs weren’t exactly bad but they didn’t end on particularly high notes so the WWE has to reestablish some sort of meaning to the PPV.   It’s the only reason I subscribed to the Network but if we can get better action for free, those who have signed up for similar reasons may start to question this monthly expense.   I’m not quite there yet but if this one ends on a similar note, I may start to reconsider. In any case, given the “up in the air” lead in to the PPV, I’m not

SmackDown Has to Take Care of Some Business Before TLC...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! Is it treating you well?   I gotta tell ya, this is about all I can do tonight.   I am spent!   Anyway, so RAW did its job this past Monday as Seth Rollins solidified his heel turn.  Yes there were some title matches but since the titles didn’t change hands, that could easily be viewed as a nod to the viewers without the WWE Network.   So, who knows what exactly we’ll see come Sunday.   This is why I’m focusing on the heel turn.   There is a lot of potential here, especially since Rollins is beginning to demonstrate a “pattern”. His recruiting of the Authors of Pain could be viewed as a blatant attempt to recreate some sort of SHIELD faction.  He feels most confident being “The Architect”.   The potential for drama is quite prevalent here.   Will Roman Reigns have anything to say about this?   Will Rollins ever seek out his support?   Will Reigns oblige?   And there’s always hope for the future.   We all know that for the foreseeable one, Jon Moxley

Let Us End the Year with Tables, Ladders and Chairs!!!!

A Pleasant Sunday to You, Enthusiasts! Tonight, we gather round for the final PPV of 2018.   It’s been an interesting year.   A lot of shocks and surprises and a lot of not so surprising moments but, though this year could be described as “bumpy”, I find this year was promising.   This is probably the beginning of a new chapter within the WWE and naturally, the growing pains were evident but the fact that they exist says something.  Recent free offerings may have had plenty to be desired but I do believe that’s the beginning of the turning of the tide.   I think with SmackDown going to FOX next year has a lot to do with it and I’m sure come 2020, we’ll have a different iteration of this WWE Universe.   It may be long overdue. In any case, as for tonight, TLC is the name of the game and it’s hard to know what to really expect.   I won’t run down the entire card but I will point out some matches of note, the first being the match slated between Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman

SmackDown Doesn't Need a Beacon Because People Actually Want to See It...

A Good Tuesday Evening to You, Enthusiasts. Though RAW was respectable, I’m sure there were plenty who were un-appeased.   Yet, I do think the job of building interest for TLC was accomplished.   Are we salivating, no but I do believe we’re fairly curious and that’s good enough to a point.   We want to watch and that’s a fair start.   Yet, I feel I have to give some props to Baron Corbin this week.   He commendably served as “martyr” as he took the blame for the recent atrocious RAW s.   We all know he was only doing as told but for him to maturely take the faux heat I find meritorious.   I don’t know if this too was something he was told to do or if he elected himself but he wore it well and it cleared a space for the WWE to potentially correct the situation.   Kudos to Corbin for being big about this and taking a few hits.   Let’s just hope this isn’t how they’ll account for all bad shows going forward.   Once in a while is fine but make it a habit and our point of this bei

Good Evening to You, Enthusiasts! How goes this Monday for you?   So, it’s Go-Home time for the final PPV of the year Tables, Ladders and Chairs and though it’s not the best lead up, they’ve gone into PPVs with far less momentum before. Tonight, the rumor is that Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax are going to have a pre-match press conference. There’s also talk that Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will give their showdown a final push and Rollins is going to break down to us as to why RAW sucks so much right now. Also, we’re probably going to hear from Baron Corbin in regards to the contingency plans for the match with Braun Strowman since it’s looking like he won’t be match-ready by Sunday.   And Heath Slater eases into his new refereeing duties.   We’ll see how that works out.   It’s hard to say what’s going to be in between but the goal is the same as it is before any PPV.   Get us salivating for it.   Something tells me the impetus may be a bit more pointed going forward.   The Fan

Anyone Left Standing for TLC?....

Not too many it would seem 😉   A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts!   Well, isn’t TLC becoming buzz-worthy!   With the sudden replacement of Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt with Kurt Angle and AJ Styles respectively, it definitely appears that the WWE has run into a bout of “shit happening”.    Word is that some sort of virus has hit the roster hard and has prompted scrambling in terms of booking.   With the whispers of roster dissension on top of that, the scene is set for an interesting evening, indeed.   Even Triple H had to suit up to work a SmackDown house show, there’s so much going on.   Personally, I hope at least half of this are works.   I just get the feeling this is more planned than not but at this point, it doesn’t really matter.   If the point was to drum up interest, mission accomplished. So, what does that mean for tonight?   I would say expect more, surprises. With the match card basically in flux, it’s anybody’s guess as to what we’ll actually see out ther

Whadaya Mean?! RAW Has Plenty of TLC...

Just look under the apron 😉 Good Evening, Enthusiasts! So, how’s everyone doing?   Sometimes it feels like it’s been ages since I talked some wrassling.   Didn’t even realize that tonight’s the Go-Home show for TLC.   Wowzers. Well, in any case, we’re being kept in the dark for the most part tonight besides the steel cage match set between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns.   This may bring a hand to the chin in contemplation because the one-off singles match amidst a SHIELD Reunion seems either set for interference and/or DQ probably in  Braun Strowman's favor.   With the lovable bullies reunited, one can’t expect matches to playout fair or clean.   I’m thinking maybe Sheamus and Cesaro might break up the party to set up some sort of 3-on-3 for TLC. That'd be my bet. Now, last week I bemoaned a SHIELD Reunion because I didn’t feel it’s worth a half-assed approach but fans appear to be eating it up so, I won’t rain on this parade.   If people are having fun wi

Even if it hurts 😉 What's up Enthusiasts! Are you ready to see what SmackDown is gonna do with Tables, Ladders and Chairs?  To be honest, I kinda miss having the whole roster in on the fun but, in the name of mixing it up, can't really complain.  Lead up wasn't so bad.  The Go-Home show set the stage for a Divas title match and some hi-jinks are sure to come with the Wyatt Family / Randy Orton infusion.  That one makes me chuckle, hopefully it's for the right reasons.  Funny tweets get retweeted and if a Favorite does show, it'll get commended and retweeted as it ought.  Quench your thirst my friends. And I'll See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis (^_~)
