How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s another Survivor Series and I have to say I’m a little more excited than in previous years. The card is looking good and there’s good hype/momentum going in. It’s been a while since there’s been proper set up. It’s all very promising. Never would have thought to see it in my lifetime. Was sure I’d be talking shit forever. In any case, it’s a short card so here are the matches I’ll be especially looking forward to. So, we’ll start with the Ladies’ War Game because they’ve been stirring it up for the past couple weeks. They’re all very capable women so I can’t even begin to speak on who may win. I get the feeling it won’t exactly be clean but I’m anticipating some wiliness. Someone will be caught out and a technicality exploited. I don’t really care how or who as long as it’s entertaining so all the Ladies really have to do is watch against trying too hard. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   So, best show of them all, huh? Guess we’ll see about that. While we contemplate, here’s what’s got my attention. Care to take a look? We’re probably on the same page.   So, first order of business is the supposed first order of business. Word is that the Hell in the Cell Match is going to open. I wouldn’t do this. Only because of the logistics. Just face it. It takes time to set up. Time to break down. Even if CM Punk and Drew McIntyre knock it out of the park, you risk a loss in momentum. First match should set the tone of the night.   Personally, I’m thinking it should be Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. That’s fun. Dominik Mysterio is in a shark cage. Already, they’ve kinda undersold themselves and that’s fine. The kids get to prove themselves while everyone else gauges how to measure up. How’s It Going Enthusiasts!   Welcome to SummerSlam! Have no idea what to expect but that’s okay. I’m enjoying the day for more casual yet personal reasons today. Nevertheless, I’ll be watching at 4pm PDT and while I am I will be looking at just a few matches. The rest either should perform or have to.   First match I’m curious about is GUNTHER vs. Damian Priest. I think we’re on the cusp of a Priest Face Turn. My only question is, where does it go? Not that I mind that he earns respect but what’s next is the real question. The thing about Gunther is that he’s simple. The point is to win. Who is the next opponent? See, give him someone else to mangle. Priest now has to have some sort of quest or be some sort of adjudicator. Not sure if the landscape is quite set up for that at present.   However, I don’t think that should mean Gunther wins. Priest is in an interesting space right now because he’s winning on merit. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Feeling good. This is a bit of an odd Money in the Bank as it seems tinged with sorrow as we are aware of Kevin Owens’ Mother, hopefully recuperating in hospital and the passing of Roman Reigns’ Father. It’s a tough time in the WWE Universe but as in show business, the show must go on. And so, here’s what I’m looking at this time around. First off, I feel I must mention that the only Ladies Match is the MITB Ladder Match. These days that’s a big ole 🙁 ‘cause they know they have to show fair representation. This is a bit old school if you ask me. Mia Yim and Nia Jax could have been on this card easy, even if it was just Kick Off. I can see a lot of the new ladies aren’t up to speed but there are plenty who are and there’s the time to do it so, 👎 on this planning. They know they’ve got plenty of Ladies who can hold their own. Happy WrestleMania Day 2, Enthusiasts. How did you like last night? To be honest, it felt like everyone stepped aside for the main event in my opinion. If I had any say, I’d act like that was the point. With The Rock threatening referees for doing their jobs, it’s safe to assume that the roster doesn’t want to be on his radar 😉 I will say that Sami Zayn vs. GUNTHER didn’t have that feel and I’m glad they gave it to Zayn. Now, let’s see if Zayn can run with it and be a new kind of champion. If he can back it up, he can back it up. And that’s all I’ll say about that.  Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch also seemed impervious to the night’s events though, with Lynch supposedly sick I suppose the predetermined outcome was foreshadowed with that information. I just hope it’s not strep throat. If Ripley gets sick next, we all know why.  And so, what about Day 2? Well, since Day 1 was a little reserved, Day 2 has full clearance to go all out.   How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! Happy WrestleMania Day 1.  So, this is a packed weekend and I got a lot on my plate on top of that so, I’ll take my time and also be brief. There are 7 matches on the card tonight plus whatever extras they got planned so this is gonna be a long day and that’s just the half of it. Let’s get into it. So, the first match I’m looking at is Bianca BelAir, Jade Cargill and Naomi teaming up to face the New Damage CTRL. Now, to look at it, it does look very lazy. The Black (African-American) women against the Japanese Women & Dakota Kai. I guess Kai technically makes the whole thing diverse but I don’t see many people really buying that. And so, why is this an issue? It doesn’t really have to be but in the face of a casual fan base with random new onlookers, one has to wonder what sentiments it conjures.  On the other hand, I wouldn’t want forced diversity just to quiet sensitive fans or head-off inadvertent backlash. Happy Royal Rumble, Enthusiasts!   It’s been a mixed bag, to say the least. Well, there’s not much to talk about since the card is fairly light which hopefully means the Rumbles are a going to be jam-packed and full of surprises so, let me get into the 2 matches of interest I have. First let’s just get out of the way that given light of all the recent allegations against Mr. Vince McMahon, he read the room and resigned from WWE/TKO. He claims innocence but given his known history it’s unlikely anyone really buys that but that will be for his counsel to handle. This is a bit of a PR nightmare so I don’t blame him for not trying to hang around. It's hard to defend yourself when you’re in company like Jeffery Epstein and Harvy Weinstein and the like.   Nevertheless, it allows us to focus more on the Royal Rumble and not these unfortunate accusations. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts!     It’s Survivor Series and, to be honest, the card is looking pretty light . So, either the War Games matches are planned to be epic or there are some surprises scheduled. I won’t speculate . Many will be anticipating a CM Punk drop and if not that, the fallout from him not showing. I won’t be heartbroken if he doesn’t show but I get the feeling he will sooner than later.     In any case, since there’s not much on this card, I only have 2 matches of interest. The first of which is GUNTHER v. The Miz. This is interesting because Technically , the Miz is due a Championship run. He’s had a few in the past but he should be more than just a jobber. Yet, how realistic is it that he actually wins ? And then, where to go from there? Is this just a pathway to get a title on LA Knight?
