SmackDown Finalizes the Royal Rumble...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s everything going? It’s a good one for me. Got some good things coming down the pike. Can’t say the sentiment is so hopeful in the WWE Universe but I suppose the healing can now begin. Let’s get into what’s going on. Well, it’s hard to get away from the scandal hovering over WWE. Word is that the Feds are looking into it now. More to see if anyone was skirting the financials. Deals like these can’t be on company books so I’m sure there looking for any criminal action on the fiscal accounting of these unsavory affairs.  It doesn’t look good. I won’t lie. And I’m not sure what happens from here. Yet, at the same time, I feel those who were uninvolved need to focus on just that. One can’t help the faults of others. That doesn’t stop the business from being a billion dollar company and the best in the industry. I figure it’s best to focus on that. But I will touch on that in light of all these scandalous allegations that there is a call to “omit” Mr. Vince M

RAW Deals with Royal Rumble Fallout....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Did you enjoy the Royal Rumble? I have to say I came away from it satisfied. It was generally well-executed and though there were no jaw-dropping returns I had a lot of fun and have to say it was one of the more well-rounded PPVs, especially given everything I’m glad everyone kept themselves together and had a great show.   General consensus gives match of the night to the Ladies’ Rumble. Which isn’t much of a surprise. They were forward-thinking with having Jordynne Grace on loan from TNA. Naomi is back and Jade Cargill is now available for main roster action. The Men’s Rumble wasn’t all that bad but all they had was Andrade’s return and Bron Breakker is now everyone’s problem.   Personally I enjoyed the Fatal-4-Way even though the outcome was expected I thought it was well done and it kept me entertained. Everyone looked good and say what you will about Roman Reigns, he performs without having to be exulted, meaning that though he’s the “und

Matches of Interest - Royal Rumble 2024

Happy Royal Rumble, Enthusiasts!   It’s been a mixed bag, to say the least. Well, there’s not much to talk about since the card is fairly light which hopefully means the Rumbles are a going to be jam-packed and full of surprises so, let me get into the 2 matches of interest I have. First let’s just get out of the way that given light of all the recent allegations against Mr. Vince McMahon, he read the room and resigned from WWE/TKO. He claims innocence but given his known history it’s unlikely anyone really buys that but that will be for his counsel to handle. This is a bit of a PR nightmare so I don’t blame him for not trying to hang around. It's hard to defend yourself when you’re in company like Jeffery Epstein and Harvy Weinstein and the like.   Nevertheless, it allows us to focus more on the Royal Rumble and not these unfortunate accusations. That said, let me get into the first match of interest, the Fatal-4-Way with LA Knight, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and AJ Styl

SmackDown Does Its Best to Stay Focused on the Royal Rumble....

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! Well, there’s certainly stuff to talk about. Shall I just cut right to the chase and get it over with? All right, here we go. So, it’s spread to the legitimate news outlets that a civil suit has been filed against Mr. Vince McMahon and the allegations are quite damning to say the least. Though many have read the complaint, I’m fine with taking everyone’s word for it. And like many commenters, please keep in mind that this is a civil suit so the Plaintiff is trying to get the agreement honored more than have Mr. McMahon charged with crimes. That would be a state matter I would think if criminal charges were to be filed. Regardless, the accounts described appear to be deplorable and it’s an unfortunate blight on this Go-Home Week for the Royal Rumble. No doubt the Plaintiff’s counsel angled for the timing of the filing. Right when there’s visibility on WWE, slam this suit down and see what happens. Though I feel for the Plaintiff, I can’t help but feel this so

How’s It Going Enthusiasts? Hanging in there? It’s wet in Southern California so staying in is preferable tonight. Not that I would be out anyway, it is a school night. Just gives me more incentive to stay put. Regardless, we’ve got some things to chat about today. Shall we get into them? Let’s. So, let’s take a brief moment to wish Kenny Omega well. Word going around is that his diverticulitis is so severe they can’t even operate. Poor guy. I suppose it’s just a restricted diet and rest to see if that clears things up. Hang in there! For those looking for an update on the beloved Big E., there’s still no timeline for this return and it looks like many of us are fine with this. We prefer his safe and complete recovery as opposed to a speedy return. A few commenters suggested that he manage the New Day to get him back on TV. I wouldn’t be opposed to this innovation. Perhaps sneak in a return at some point where he inserts himself into the action. I’m down. We’ll see what the future hold

RAW Preps for the Final Touches for the Royal Rumble...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Everything going all right in your worlds. I hope so for the most part. Let’s try to use this year to build a better tomorrow and all that. Gotta start somewhere. In any case, there are some things going on we can talk about. Want to get into it? Let’s.   In the Kingdom of TNA/Impact the “mystery” acquisition was revealed to be Dolph Ziggler at their recent PPV. I’m still a little forlorn that he was released but this is probably his only shot at fronting a promotion which is something he deserves to pursue. Though his prowess is known, he will never get a shot at the major titles in WWE as long as the likes of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and all those in the same boat are around. This is his chance to be the face of a company and he should give it his best shot. Perhaps WWE will reacquire him towards the end of his career, but for now I’ll wish him well in his current endeavors.   There’s also talk from the Kingdom of TNA that Nao

RAW Does a Little Ground Work for the Royal Rumble...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Here we are in the second week of January and we have some fun things to look forward to tonight. There’s some talk floating around, not sure how valid it all is but it’s there. Shall we chat a little?   There’s speculation that both Mercedes Moné/Sasha Banks and Naomi may make returns to WWE in the near future. There was a lot of chatter that Moné was heading to AEW but that chatter died down recently and everyone is kinda standing by with bated breath to see where she ends up.   Naomi sounded like more of a done deal but I haven’t heard much on that of late so, I don’t know how valid that rumor ever was. Regardless, I don’t mind either one returning. In a way, it makes sense. As much as she should see what the world holds, I think an inherent truth was already confirmed. WWE is far from perfect but it’s the pinnacle of the industry. If you can work there, why work anywhere else?   In other yet adjacent news, there’s some talk about when

The Royal Rumble Is Over! - And Now, RAW Has Fallout....

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts. How did you enjoy the Royal Rumble? I would say the general consensus is that it wasn’t bad but there were definitely some things left to be desired but overall, not disappointing. Most didn’t care for the match order either though in retrospect, I can see why WWE did what they did but hopefully it was with a mind for tonight otherwise, a more traditional order would have sufficed. Let’s break it down a bit, shall we? So, we were all a little surprised that the Rumble opened with the Men’s Rumble. I would have left this for the end, especially with Cody Rhodes winning. Leaving the Universal Title match for last left the event on a “down” note so that’s why I’m hoping it was to segue into tonight’s RAW . Word is that Rhodes is going to open to follow-up his win so that may have been the point.  Personally, it felt like a strange move because what’s to keep people in the seats for the rest of the show? Though the Women’s Rumble kept pace with the Men’s

Royal Rumble 2023

Happy Royal Rumble, Enthusiasts!   So, this will be a fairly short post because the Royal Rumble appears to be just that this year, The Rumble. I’m thinking it opens with the Women and closes with the Men with the Title Matches sandwiching the Pitch Black match. I like the “to the point” approach. Let’s hope it all works out.   So, given there is and isn’t a lot to talk about, I’ll keep this post simple. For the Women’s Rumble, I couldn’t even begin to think who wins because it all depends on who wins the RAW Women’s Title. If Bianca Belair retains, it all depends on who makes a believable opponent. Alexa Bliss is only a contender due to “Crazy” being on her side so, I don’t know how long that lasts.   As much as we don’t mind suspending a little disbelief, we will only go so far. On top of that, we like a fight! So, it’s hard to get jazzed for a fight with someone who’s 90lbs unless you’re a fan or both parties are waifs. So, I guess if Bliss wins, we can maybe expect Liv

Happy Royal Rumble Eve, Enthusiasts! Too much? Can’t be that excited about the Rumble? 😉 Well, my curiosity level is higher than usual this time around. I think it’ll be fun. I don’t know what to expect but with WWE having generally found a respectable stride of late, I’m not so much worried about how they’ll fuck it up, just curious to see what they try. I would have to say that’s an improvement from recent years, wouldn’t you?  In any case, there’s plenty going on in the Wrestling World but not much of it grabs me so let’s just chat about the more interesting bits shall we? One thing that I found noteworthy is how the Bella Twins appear to be championing women’s representation in the WWE and appear to be strong supporters of Sasha Banks a.k.a. Mercedes Moné. Well, it appears that WWE wasn’t having any of that and uninvited them from this past Monday’s 30 th Anniversary Special. I have to say I’m kinda impressed by the show of solidarity. I’m not sure if it really amounts to anythin

RAW's 30th Anniversary Celebration!!!

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Well, the big news tonight is that it’s RAW’s 30th Anniversary so all the talk is on who’s slated to appear and any potential surprises. We can expect the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair alongside the ubiquitous “and more”. Booker T and Lita are said to be part of the “and more” lot. While we gear up for that, Grayson Waller kicked up some attention for NXT as he “invited himself” to the WWE Performance Center to rustle up some trouble with Bron Breakker. When I first saw the headline I was like, what happened here but then I got the gist of it and it’s just standard shittalk and tussle fun.  The social media touch is just a sign of the times. It was fun. Sometimes you gotta go and shake things up. The WWE Universe tends to be tempestuous. It’s conflictual by nature. That’s what we all come here for. To settle numerous differences even if it is just “boredom”. I look forward to more of this “impromptu” action online. The industry has to evolve if
