Okay, Let's See How RAW Handles This...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Mondays becoming easier…yeah, well if you have the luxury of being able to stay at home for it, I can see why.   So, he we are again in a No Man’s Land before a PPV.   There’s news circulating about the WWE Universe but nothing exciting enough for me to comment on.   What is somewhat interesting is the speculation of what will become of Tessa Blanchard.   Rumor has it that the WWE may consider taking on the controversial lady.   I’ve seen a bit of her stint with Impact and I wasn’t impressed.   Her winning the Men’s Championship came off more like spectacle than anything else.   Come see the Lady beat a Man sort of thing and given that she’s not imposing it reads more like playful titillation as opposed to a valid contest.   There’s definitely potential drama-wise but the current WWE Ladies have to wonder if this would downplay their accomplishments.   The Ladies of WWE have a great distinction at the moment.   They can boast their skill in the ring unlik

Well...SmackDown Has a Show...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! Is it treating you well?   Staying healthy?   I hope so.   Well, let’s dive right in, shall we.   So, the big news is that the soft re-opening of the WWE to the public mildly backfired as Renée Young among others have gone and caught the COVID.   It’s too bad.   I hope they’re asymptomatic or at least mild cases.   We all love Ms. Young and Mr. Jon Moxley and will always wish them well.   Personally, I hope for the day Moxley returns to the WWE Universe but I understand his need to explore.   I hope they’re both happy. In any case as for tonight’s SmackDown we may have to be prepared for a crappy show.  With current allegations circulating and sudden illness falling, they may have scrapped previously scheduled content.    That may be why we’re now going to celebrate the re-retiring of The UnderTaker.    I have no problem with the man but I’ve made it clear that I never got him.   He’s an imposing figure enough but the whole gimmick never landed with me.

RAW Decides Championships Shall Precede Extreme Rules...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts! Given the circumstances, I get the feeling it’s not so painful to see as it once was.   In any case, the WWE Universe is proving that it is not immune to the trials and tribulations of Real Time living.   If it isn’t talk of cutbacks due to COVID its how #TimesUp is making its way through the ranks. Well, when it comes to the allegations and statements, at least these aren’t too recent but recent enough to call into question.   This is because what may be telling is that people now know better than to make these statements publicly, doesn’t mean they’ve changed as people.   That’s the main reason that Matt Riddle may have an uphill battle concerning his predicament.   Contrary to Sammy Guevara’s situation, the WWE has been aware of Riddle’s issues but the fact there is record of an on-going “disagreement” alludes that something did transpire.   Some way or another, Riddle is going to have to own up.   He can either continue to profess innocence or be honest

SmackDown Forgot About Backlash...Hasn't Decided What's Next...

How’s Everyone Doing? Looks like there’s news about the WWE Universe, doesn’t it?   I don’t know much about this Matt Riddle.   I’ve heard his name bandied about and was willing to see what he’s all about but it looks like some residual Karma has come back around to thwart all that.   I’m not going to speculate on what’s true here I’m just going to say that everyone better take notice.   If you have sketchy stuff in your history, make sure you make amends with it before you go on a public push for something.   What goes around does come around.   I think just about everyone can agree.   So, whoever made this allegation either has beef or was wronged.   It all depends on how long ago this happened and what exactly remains unresolved.   Is this someone who feels jilted or is this someone who feels used?   There is a difference.   The former was dismissed, probably without much notice or cause.   What makes this more the other party’s problem is the inability to let it go.   If Riddle s

BackLash Offered More than Expected. Can RAW Keep Up?...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Monday.   So, who got to see BackLash this past Sunday?   Well, I have to say the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever was certainly epic.   I love that Edge has returned and has brought all his knowledge of working on TV with him.   He’s proving the benefit of having a Love of the Game.   Not to say Randy Orton didn’t do his thing.   He’s proving that the better caliber the opponent, the more you get out of him so, these matches are proving to be win-win.   It’s serving as a glimmer of hope if you ask me.   I hope everyone on the roster is taking notes because these may be the predecessors for matches of the WWE future. Yet, before we get too ahead of ourselves, plenty held to current WWE form.   Asuka’s and Nia Jax’s match was basically tossed out for a rematch tonight on RAW and the fact that Andrade and Apollo Crews had their match on the un-promoted Kickoff show gives you a sense of where Andrade’s heading since he picked up the “L”.   He must not b

All Right BackLash, Let's See if This Was All Worth It...

How Goes It, Enthusiasts? Ready for this here BackLash PPV?   Well, since it’s already filmed and uploaded, let’s hope they took the time to get this palatable.   As usual, I won’t comment on every match, just the ones I think might be interesting. So, let’s get right to it. So, my first match of interest may not be one for the masses but I feel it will be quite important for the players in Andrade and Apollo Crews.   Crews is in an advantageous position since all the “main players” are sitting things out for the foreseeable future, roster members such as Crews have a chance to shine and show why they play in the Majors.   As for Andrade, he has to have a good enough showing to remain relevant.   More is on the line for these gentlemen than many realize.   After this, we have to presume that even if they have a PPV for July, all this is essentially a build to Summer Slam.   With a good showing here, they may be able to solidify a spot in the bigger show.   We’ll see how they do. To

SmackDown Hopes to Excuse the WWE's Negligence

What’s Going on, Enthusiasts? Starting to creep back outside?   Seeing how you like this “New Normal”?    Meh, I’m just ready to leave the mask behind but I don’t think that’s gonna end any time soon.   Anyway, so, life in the WWE Universe well, there apparently has been some upheaval and rumored animosity amidst the ranks.   So, word is Paul Heyman has been removed from the RAW Creative Team and both RAW & SmackDown have been consolidated under Head Writer Bruce Prichard.   We’ll see if this is an improvement but to be honest I only half buy it.   Same goes for the news about Heyman and Mr. Vince McMahon not liking each other right now.   I’m sure they’re not snipping at each other anymore than usual but…I do like where it can lead in terms of drama.   I’m sure Heyman will still help with Creative, it can’t hurt and they need shit to work.   I’m glad that they’re finally taking a hard look at the Creative Team because given recent years’ content, it’s hard to say they ever kn

RAW Has to Pick Up the Slack This Time Around...

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts. Feeling a little more relaxed?   Ready to get back to living again?   Yeah, I am too.   But before we get into all of that, let’s just revisit SmackDown briefly.   It proved why one of the head writers got fired because wouldn’t you know it, it was Sheamus behind the wheel during Jeff Hardy’s DUI.   The man was set up!   The only reason the audience didn’t groan and roll their eyes was because they’re on the payroll.   And to add insult to injury, Braun Strowman, peeved at John Morrison and The Miz gets to tipping their van ‘cause he’s big and strong and intimidating and et cetera and et cetera.   The WWE Universe fell into one of its bad habits and threw something together painfully uninspired.   For lead up to a PPV this SmackDown was lame at best.   It’s like the show gets an anxiety attack and tanks itself.   It was on a roll until this speedbump.   We’ll see what RAW has to offer. So, it’s officially “Go Home” time and RAW has one of Edge’

SmackDown Invites You to Relieve Some of This Tension...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts. How you doing out there?   These are some thought-provoking times, aren’t they?      Well, remember the core of it.   Stay polite while out in the world.   None of us are perfect.   So, in other news, the only thing that caught my attention out in the WWE Universe is that Jinder Mahal went back under the knife for knee surgery.   Guess they just caught this ‘cause I was like, didn’t he just come back from surgery?   I thought they were going to start planting seeds towards a showdown with Drew McIntyre, now we get to see if they keep the title on him until Mahal is recovered or if that will just be a potential feud.    We shall see.   Such is the crux of the WWE Universe.   Though it promotes its own, it is still subject to Reality.   Shit happens just the same.   We’ll see how they adapt. As for tonight's SmackDown , we see how they explain Jeff Hardy’s return.   Not sure if we’re going to buy it but they’ll try to sell it.   Bayley & Sasha Banks

RAW Invites You to Think About Something Else for a Few Hours...

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts. How is everyone doing?  If it’s not a pandemic, it’s social unrest, isn’t it.  Well, here’s what I’ll say on that.  Remember what this injustice is really about.  It’s more than Racism.  It’s a matter of disrespect.  We must accept that an unfortunate aspect of Human Nature is prejudice.  With such a large brain, many of us don’t take the time to use it.  It generally boils down to being courteous.  Treat others as you would like to be treated.  Yet, too many of us use prejudice based on broad generalizations to validate disrespecting other human beings.  Question why a person has to feel better than/superior to someone else.  That’s where the root of this issue lies.  We’re all here with an equal shot.  Some of us are born with more going for them than others and it’s what we do with the proverbial hands we’re dealt that determine the merit of a person, not arbitrary means of categorization.  All anyone is asking is to not be rude.  How hard is that?
