Sorry Kids - Got Work to Do...

Image
Greetings Enthusiasts, I'll be watching but not participating this week for the RAW & SmackDown.  Gotta move house and as you can imagine, this takes up my time.  I should be up and running next week.  Trust me, I'd rather be playing a long. See You Soon, - Nicole Alexis (^_~)

Forget RAW...Stay Smacked-Down. That's Work in Itself...

Hi Enthusiasts! How’s your Tuesday going?   Can’t say I can complain.   RAW didn’t disappoint…pleasantly surprised actually.   Yes, it looks like we may end up with some sort of Lashley-Lesnar-Reigns Triple Threat that Braun Strowman cashes in on but…I don’t know…they could surprise.   It’s not out of their realm of possibility.   Going in with little to no expectations.   You know, giving them a chance. In any case, SmackDown has to maintain and steady the pace as we head towards Summer Slam. To do that Paige now has an announcement!   She will reveal who will face AJ Styles for the WWE Title.   She’ll also initiate a Tag Team Tournament with SAnitY & The New Day.   I’m supposing winner faces the Bludgeon Brothers at SummerSlam but…not sure that’s the prime spot it’s supposed to be.   Both sides will have to work it, whoever ends up with the “prize”.   Elsewhere, Becky Lynch will try to keep hope alive as she tries to build up some momentum over Carmella.  We’ll also get so

All Right Let's Get Good & RAW...Got Work to Do...

Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! I hope the weekend treated you well.   Yet, for tonight, we have some WWE matters to contemplate.   First of all, we have a historic announcement scheduled to be issued by her Majesty, Mrs. Stephanie McMahon.   The rumor is that it’ll be for some sort of Women’s Title like for tag-team or a new all-female PPV.   Either way I shan’t complain.   I appreciate the WWE’s attempts at inclusivity .   It’s necessary in these modern times.   I don’t doubt the ladies can make things interesting but they certainly have to use this opportunity to their advantage.   Like with any party that finds themselves in the Underdog position, they will have to put on a doubly awesome display just to earn the street-cred and the attention.   I wish them well. As for other points to consider this evening we will definitely ponder the clash of Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns.   I’m a little worried for this bout but I don’t think all is lost.   This is a tricky little c

SmackDown Has Been Way More Extreme & Stayed Focused on the Work...

Let’s see RAW do that!  A Good Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! So, RAW wasn’t bad but there are a lot of looming questions.   Mainly, who will face Brock Lesnar for SummerSlam?   So far, we have Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns offered up and We the Audience aren’t really feeling either option.   True, Braun Strowman lurks with the Money in the Bank briefcase but…though I know plenty wouldn’t mind the match of Strowman vs. Lesnar, I still feel Lesnar would object.   Or it would be booked as a squash match and it’s Strowman playing keep away with the title until Creative gets bored.    My point is, I’m not really jazzed for SummerSlam just now.   Can it be fixed?   Sure, but will it be?    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯   They may want to consider inter-brand titling.   Like, AJ Styles should be a contender for Lesnar and that means potentially a wrestler could wear both the WWE Title and the Universal Title.   Maybe that was what they were alluding to in the opener with Lesnar doing just that with WW

That Was Extreme. Now RAW Has to Get Back to Business...

How’s it going, Enthusiasts? So, Extreme Rules came and went and it appears that We the Audience are losing a little credibility.   Apparently the crowd wasn’t fully grasping the nature of the Ironman Match among other things this past Sunday.   I warned that if we weren’t consistent we’d expose we don’t know what we want or what we’re talking about.   How do you expect to be appeased when it’s clear we don’t know what that would even look like?   Make sure your arguments are solid out there.   Everyone’s got a soapbox.   What’s so good about what you have to say? In any case, it wasn’t a bad show.   I believe the Ironman Match was the best one of the night but more for merit than anything else.   We don’t have that good of an attention span so the WWE is going to have to throw some “highs & lows” into these sorts of things.   We get bored easily. As for tonight, we wait with bated breath to see if Brock “Gun Jack” Lesnar will make an appearance to retain his Universal

WOW! These Are Some Extreme Rules...

Don’t know if I can abide 😉 Greetings Enthusiasts! Extreme Rules is upon us and I’m not so much excited as curious because there has been decidedly better content to lead up to tonight’s event.   Am I dancing around, have the “ants in the pants”, no.   Can’t say that I do but I am intrigued and honestly so and that, I haven’t been for quite some time. So, what do we have in store for us tonight, well we have to speculate over the AJ Styles and Rusev match.   It has been a minute since Rusev has held a title and has been anything but comedic foil.   A title could bring him back to focus and the Rusev Day movement doesn’t hurt.   I wouldn’t mind a title change here.   Might make things interesting for SummerSlam.     Alexa Bliss facing off against Nia Jax again just makes me think they need more big gals for Jax to play with.   I know it’s cool to root for the little gal or guy but this just stretches my disbelief.   I could throw Bliss out the ring.   Why would Jax have

Rules GOT to Be Extreme If This Show Is Gonna SmackDown...

And they get broke anyway too 😉 Greetings Enthusiasts! A Good Tuesday to you.   So, SmackDown offers up its Go-Home tithe and RAW , for once, doesn’t leave much for them to clean-up.   They actually have to stand on their own and make us want to tune in on Sunday.   So, how are they gonna do that?   Well, The Miz is set to interview Team Hell No on MizTV.   Not sure how that will go down….flames seem more likely than not but I could be wrong.    But, i f fire does break out, perhaps it could light up the rivalry smoldering between Cien Almas and Sin Cara.   For Cien’s sake he better hope so.   Still more intrigued by his manager than him.   Haven’t been impressed.   Also, Tye Dillinger will get some air time and try to hold his own against big, bad Samoa Joe.   Asuka is going to finish up her unfinished business with James Ellsworth as they lock horns in a Lumberjack Match.   And AJ Styles and a recovered(?) Shinsuke Nakamura will loosen each other up with a non-title match

RAW Is So Extreme...It Doesn't Need Any Rules...

It’s just a few steps away from Anarchy! 😉 A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! We are “going home” tonight as RAW gets us all hot & bothered for Extreme Rules this Sunday.   There aren’t any advertised matches but we are given a few points to consider.   Did Kevin Owens get sick after his little ride in the porta-potty?   Can't be very sanitary.   How will Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns get along tonight?   Get the feeling the “coin toss” is gonna go Lashley's way.   Is Reigns gonna get pissy about it or is he really going to do something?   And how will Finn Bálor fair against a new and lofty Constable Baron Corbin?   We’ll see if he’ll overcome the big bully. Yet, what most may be and may not be waiting for is the continuation of the therapy sessions with Dr. Shelby for Sasha Banks and Bayley.   Now, the first episode wasn’t bad.   The questions come in the forms of will this be funny or will they attempt some true “healing”.   I’m not sure how seriously thi

Why Get RAW When You Can SmackDown?...

A Good Evening to you Enthusiasts, So, the new beginning is here.   Now, I know.   It doesn’t look like much but this week’s RAW actually made sense.   Am I enthralled by the storylines?   Not especially but, the real surprise is that there are storylines to speak of and not just arbitrary matches and promos thrown together for us to look at.   It’s interesting…it’s all wide open.   It’s been a long time coming. So, SmackDown now has something to work with and has to maintain the momentum.   To do that, Asuka is gonna rough James Ellsworth up.   Aiden English is going to demonstrate that he can do more than carry a tune as he faces off against AJ Styles.   And if Jeff Hardy isn’t too banged up, he’ll put the US Title up for grabs.   I’m not too upset at it.   I notice no mention of Team Hell No, though. Personally, I’m not sure this move was necessary.   I didn’t really care for Dad (Kane) and Daniel Bryan being a tag-team.   You all know that I want Dad to go out with d

You Know You Like It RAW....

Why else do you keep coming back 😉 Greetings, Enthusiasts! So, we are now headed towards Extreme Rules and it doesn’t seem like that’s the biggest deal so, I’m not sure what to expect tonight.   What I’d like to see more of though, is the WWE making better use of these “open spaces” before PPVs.   There is plenty of room to present some entertaining filler.   They should really use it as a sort of test platform.    Perhaps if those on the roster have some ideas or some palatable content in mind, here’s a place where it can get some air time.   W hen you check the newsfeeds/fan sites and the general consensus is Creative doesn’t have any ideas, why not open up the floor.   Everyone has to keep rowing to keep this boat afloat, right?    If who is supposed to come up with ideas has got nothing, might as well see who has something. In any case, though no matches have been advertised, the points we should keep in mind is how does this “feud” between Sasha Banks and Bayley end?
