Elimination Chamber 2025 - SmackDown Fallout

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! So, there isn’t anything crazy going on but we definitely have a few talking points. Are you up for a little chat? I’ll try to keep it brief. Let’s chew this fat.   We’ll do a quick stop in the Realm of AEW as Uncle Edge appears to have “stripped” Jon Moxley of his Death Riders. The last one, Wheeler Yuta, was always on the fence though he appears to have accepted his fate. After an honest throwdown, Uncle Edge did the one thing Mox may never, offer him a friendly handshake and show of respect. The sincere gesture seems to have brought back some of the “old Yuta” and Mox finds himself standing alone ahead of his showdown with Uncle Edge on Sunday.   A lot of commenters still don’t get it but that’s fine. Uncle Edge is serving the idea well and I’m not worried about it. The Future continues to look Bright and they just have to keep things engaging until the “real stuff” starts to happen. Let them lay the groundwork. ...

Elimination Chamber 2025 - RAW Fallout

Image
A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!   My goodness!  Well, as you know there’s plenty to talk about and we’ll get into it. This past Elimination Chamber was by far the best one I’ve ever seen but it leaves us all wondering. What is a WWE Universe with a Heel John Cena? The argument can be made that this was always the case but if so, how do they make operating with the “lifted veil” palatable? It looks like we’re about to see. Let’s not waste any more time and just get to it.   Though the impossible/inevitable happened, most would say that the Unsanctioned Match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was Match of the Night. I wouldn’t deny it but I have to say the Men’s Elimination Chamber is what held the bulk of my interest.   I thought it was cleanly executed and truly presented who our “characters” are. Say what you will, CM Punk is an “Anti-Face”. He won’t bend to the Corporate Will, but he will make them money. Seth Rollins continues to hold old grudges. ...

Elimination Chamber 2025 - Matches of Interest

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   So, this is a first. Here we are, at Elimination Chamber and I don’t have any Matches of Interest. That seems bad but to me… I think it’s kinda perfect.   This is a state I never thought I’d see in the WWE Universe. This is a turning point. It becomes something else at this point and what exactly, I don’t know. It’s exciting!   Now, some of you are going to look at this funny but if you’ve been watching for the past 10 years or so, you have to see this has gone from absolute crap television to palatable TV. I can’t talk half as much shit about it anymore.   Many of you may beg to differ but I’ll just say our tastes differ and venture to say you watch it to crap on something. Kinda like people who like Maury Povich or Jerry Springer. You look at it and feel better about yourself. Fair enough. It’s not a judgment, just an observation. This is how you may lean.   I don’t need to crap on something but I like ...

SmackDown Checks the Itinerary One Last Time Before Elimination Chamber...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! It’s been an okay one for me so far. Nothing worth complaining about. As usual, there could be worse things. As for the Wrestling World, there’s always something going on but I’m only interested in a few things. Let’s have a quick chat, shall we? Here we go.   There’s no real need to stop by the Realm of AEW as Uncle Edge appears to have things under control. The back and forth between him and the Death Riders is underway and he has enlisted the likes of Willow Nightengale to handle Marina Shafir. This is the sort of thing that has to happen in order to make this all interesting so, I’ll leave them to it.   In the Land of Free Agency, it appears that Aleister/Malakai Black’s return is more or less imminent. Couldn’t have given me better news. I anxiously await the day. There’s also talk that Lucha-Mitsu’s (aka Penta) brother, Rey Fenix may also be acquired by WWE soon. His look isn’t as Yoshimitsu-esque but I feel, ...

RAW Wraps Everything Up for Elimination Chamber...

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts!   Enjoying a new week? It wasn’t the most exciting Monday, I’ll admit, but it wasn’t a bad one for me. As for the Wrestling World, I would say it’s a bit of a mixed bag. There’s plenty to kick around. I’ll choose a few points I find interesting and then leave you all to your night. Can you handle that? Let’s do it.   We’ll start in the Kingdom of TNA as there are some legal rumblings from Ryan Nemeth, Nic Nemeth’s (aka Dolph Ziggler) brother. Apparently, Nemeth feels that Tony Khan, CM Punk, AEW and presumably unknown “Does” have conspired against him. Thus, limiting his wrestling opportunities and leading to his subsequent dismissal. From what I read, the charges seem trumped up at best but I’m no expert on the situation.   I’m not sure if Nemeth has a case but the action could have repercussions. Given reports of low morale for WWE staff despite record profits reported and the recent releases, the concept of Fairness is ce...

SmackDown Suggests Everyone Figure Out What They're Gonna Pack for Elimination Chamber...

Image
Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   How is everyone doing? Well, there’s stuff going on so, I’ll keep this to the point, for the most part. What’s happening won’t take up much but it’s something, you know. Ready to get this over with? Let’s break it down.   So, we’ll start in the Realm of AEW as the IWC has noticed a striking similarity in Jon Moxley’s latest rant. Claiming all things AEW as “his” apparently is quite similar to a promo our current Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, cut not too long ago. Most are making the correlation that The Shield is forever and with that I’ll just say, the future remains bright 😉 Whether this was intentional or not is the question and for me it doesn’t matter. As long as people are jumping to the conclusion is enough. All I’ll say is hopefully, they keep the “real stuff” fun but believable…mostly.   In the WWE Universe there are a few things going on. With the partnership with TNA in effect, the Hardy Boyz are slated to make an appear...

RAW Make Sure Everyone Has Their Itinerary for Elimination Chamber...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   For us in the United States, it’s Presidents’ Day and so, many are enjoying a day off, myself included. It should be a patriotic sort of day but given the political landscape, how this is celebrated will be left to personal interpretation. I’m just glad for a 3-Day weekend.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things we can chat about. More if you want to get all up and into it but you should know by now that I skim the surface more than take a deep dive…unless I’m so inspired, that is. We’ll see if something catches me up but this should be a pretty straightforward post. Ready? Let’s go.   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW since they had their Australian Grad Slam last weekend. I caught the first few matches since it was televised. Got to see how Kenny Omega is doing and what all the hub-bub is about concerning Harley Cameron. As you can figure, I was curious about the match between Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli aka...

SmackDown Lays Down Some New Tile for Elimination Chamber...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! Well, there’s not much to chat about this week. Well, there is but not for me. But I think we can piece together enough for a short conversation. Shouldn’t take up too much of your time. Shall we get to it?   So, we’ll just take a brief stop in the Realm of AEW ‘cause they’re going to Australia this weekend for their Grand Slam PPV. Should already be there actually. Uncle Edge had a plan to execute against Jon Moxley and “The Right Hand” Marina Shafir. Uncle Edge and Jay White cornered Shafir and cut the briefcase off of her and now have the Title in their possession. This ruffled all of Mox’s feathers and rightly so. I thought the job was pulled off well and serves its purpose of advancing this ordeal. Step by step, as it goes.   A lot of AEW fans don’t get this melee but I find what I see entertaining. It doesn’t seem too many seem to comment but I haven’t heard anything praising the Death Riders though, the trunc...

RAW Tells Us It's All About Elimination Chamber

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying your Monday? I’ve had worse ones, that much I can say. So, there’s a few things we can talk about tonight. Much of it is active fodder on social media and elsewhere. Let me jump into this while it’s still fresh.   We’ll stop in the Land of Free Agency as AEW has lightened their load. We already knew that Aleister/Malakai Black was on the way out, now Miro/Rusev has been officially released and Ricky Starks. I don’t know much about Starks outside of him ruffling Uncle Edge’s feathers but people seem to be high up on him. I’ll give him a shot. You all know that I’ve been counting the days until Black’s return. I feel like Rafiki finding out Simba is still alive. It’s a great day! Would go out and lead him back if I knew it would work. And everyone can’t help but notice that Miro/Rusev has been re-released into the wild on what would otherwise be “Rusev Day”. Is that some irony or coincidence 😉   Most wouldn’t mind all the...

SmackDown Fallout - Royal Rumble 2025

Image
Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   How’s it going? There isn’t too much going on so, this should be a short post, but it should be lighthearted…for the most part. Ready to get this done? Let us proceed.   We’ll just take a quick visit to the Realm of AEW as the Death Riders continue to wreak havoc, the likes of Renée Paquette is at least loosening up in all the mayhem. I thought it was cool of her to allow herself to be carried to safety by Marina Shafir. I guess Paquette too is a part of the “package” to be protected at all costs. Seems appropriate 😉 It’s about the little things sometimes. Uncle Edge appears to be driving at the moment so I won’t worry about them for the time being. It feels like it’s finally being paced right so, we’ll just sit back and see what the future holds.   In the WWE Universe, there’s some less pleasant news as it appears that Cedric Alexander has been allowed to pursue other endeavors. Reports are coming in that he’s no longer with WWE...

RAW Fallout - Royal Rumble 2025

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Did you enjoy the Rumble? Well, there were some things to be desired, I’ll admit but it was a good time. I have to say I had fun regardless but, yeah, there’s some things to talk about for sure. Want to get into it? Let's… So, no AJ Lee, no Becky Lynch, no Aleister Black and no Randy Orton; a lot of commenters were hoping for that one. It would seem the WWE Universe got their hopes up a bit for this one but it wasn’t a bad show in my opinion. I would say that the Ladies’ surprises were more interesting than the men’s. They pulled the trigger on Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia so that was lowkey exciting. Alexa Bliss still has her diehard fans but there were a lot of mixed responses to Charlotte Flair winning. I heard that was what was going to probably happen so, no surprises and I don’t mind it at all.  Just a brief aside to that ‘cause word came out that Charlotte and Andrade got divorced back in June so, interesting to hold that bit of info until after t...
