SmackDown's Got Your Revenge Right Here...

Image
Happy Halloween to You, Enthusiasts! I hope you got Trick r’ Treating out of the way and are all settled in.   It is a school night, after all 😉 As for me, I opted to stay in ‘cause I only really celebrate Halloween when it falls on a weekend but, I don’t see why others can’t go out and have some fun.   In the meantime, I’ll feast upon some SmackDown.   Though, I don’t expect anything too incredible to happen, I do like how the WWE has taken a page out of The Simpsons book and decided to play with the concept of Current Event farce.   Giving a Game of Thrones edge to the tone of things has made this interesting again and I have to say I’m curious to see if they help themselves on this one.   So far, I’ve been seeing plenty of promise.    Yet, as things are in the WWE Universe, though off to a good start, this tactic could very easily fall flat in the future.   We’ll see how House SmackDown contends. So, moving along,  House RAW left us a little befuddled last night

RAW = Revenge!!!!...Possibly...

Greetings, Enthusiasts! Well, it would appear that the WWE is going more #GOT than we thought with the unceremonious dismissals of the likes of Summer Rae, Darren Young and Emma going down over the weekend.   Emma I’m a little disheartened about because it looked like she was going through an identity crisis out there, recently.   I liked how she debuted as silly and goofy and I think she probably should have kept more of that in her re-tooling but alas, whatever she came up with just wasn’t really landing.   It’s too bad.   I liked her.   Did I think she’d be a Women’s Champion?   Maybe in time she could get it once or twice but, I think she could have found a niche, perhaps as some sort of comedic foil or something.   Ah, well...back to speculating the pending RAW Retaliation. So, this week we’ll see who gets cleared to return to battle for House RAW.   With Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt felled by illness, House SmackDown no doubt took advantage of a weakened RAW.   Yet, House

SmackDown Just Took RAW!!! Send a Raven!...

Image
How Goes It, Enthusiasts! Well, looks like Shane McMahon went and declared himself war and took RAW as if his last name were Bolton and the Resch Center were Winterfell but, let’s be honest…RAW locations probably equal the Red Keep 😉 So, how will RAW respond with their General Manager and veteran hero, Kurt Angle taken as a POW?  Well, if it’s Game of Thrones we’re playing, probably with “Fire & Blood”.  I know, it’s all mixed up but don’t expect the WWE to stick to the story.  It’s always their rules. Well, besides inevitable payback, it appears we will at least have AJ Styles in a match against one of the Singh Bros. That should be over with quickly, an 8-Man Tag is set to tickle our fancy and Baron Corbin is going to stomp around until he gets his rematch with Sin Cara.  We’ll see what will really happen.  Expect some “rude interruptions”.  Funny tweets get retweeted and Likes/Favorites…we could get a few…it’s possible. See You in a Bit, - Nicole Alexis (^_~

RAW Can Be Stingy with the TLC Sometimes...

Image
A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! Well, TLC saved all the TLC for last and I have to say, it was nice to see good ol’Kurt Angle back at it again.   He definitely seemed like he enjoyed himself.   I wouldn’t be surprised if he missed it.   He definitely made the end of the night interesting and I'm not upset with him showing up in a PPV from time to time.  If he's still got it and healthy, why not?    Yet, I have to state this again, comes off as an old patch being used on something that should probably be renovated or straight up replaced.   I loved seeing Angle out there but I’m not sure too many of the old-timers outside of, Dad (Kane) can make it work out there nowadays.   He did seem a little out of place.   Yet, with the new kids being new at this whole "firing up the crowd" thing, Angle certainly brought a taste of the Old Days back to the ring.   But the WWE certainly needs to think about how to keep the old vibe going in these New Eras without having

Anyone Left Standing for TLC?....

Not too many it would seem 😉   A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts!   Well, isn’t TLC becoming buzz-worthy!   With the sudden replacement of Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt with Kurt Angle and AJ Styles respectively, it definitely appears that the WWE has run into a bout of “shit happening”.    Word is that some sort of virus has hit the roster hard and has prompted scrambling in terms of booking.   With the whispers of roster dissension on top of that, the scene is set for an interesting evening, indeed.   Even Triple H had to suit up to work a SmackDown house show, there’s so much going on.   Personally, I hope at least half of this are works.   I just get the feeling this is more planned than not but at this point, it doesn’t really matter.   If the point was to drum up interest, mission accomplished. So, what does that mean for tonight?   I would say expect more, surprises. With the match card basically in flux, it’s anybody’s guess as to what we’ll actually see out ther

SmackDown Doesn't Need No Stinking TLC...

Evening, Enthusiasts! So, RAW saw the return of Dad (Kane) and I have to say I have mixed emotions.  Don’t get me wrong, I was glad to see him but I thought he was on the campaign trail for mayor somewhere in Tennessee…did that not pan out?  Well, glad he’s always got a home with the WWE.  Personally, I don’t see why he has to “suit” up still, though.  I liked him better as an enforcer of The Authority as Director of Operations and I think him being a suit is more believable for his golden years.  I’m still all for him being “Dad”.  “These god-forsaken kids!...” He should be yelling, mumbling some form of that almost every promo and that’s the sentiment he should be projecting as he storms down the ramp or busts from the ring floor or wherever.  He’s still got it, is all I’m saying. Anyway, we’re on to SmackDown and it looks like they’re gearing up for Survivor Series.  Word has it that Jinder Mahal is set to make an announcement.  Sami Zayn will kick things off and not t

Whadaya Mean?! RAW Has Plenty of TLC...

Just look under the apron 😉 Good Evening, Enthusiasts! So, how’s everyone doing?   Sometimes it feels like it’s been ages since I talked some wrassling.   Didn’t even realize that tonight’s the Go-Home show for TLC.   Wowzers. Well, in any case, we’re being kept in the dark for the most part tonight besides the steel cage match set between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns.   This may bring a hand to the chin in contemplation because the one-off singles match amidst a SHIELD Reunion seems either set for interference and/or DQ probably in  Braun Strowman's favor.   With the lovable bullies reunited, one can’t expect matches to playout fair or clean.   I’m thinking maybe Sheamus and Cesaro might break up the party to set up some sort of 3-on-3 for TLC. That'd be my bet. Now, last week I bemoaned a SHIELD Reunion because I didn’t feel it’s worth a half-assed approach but fans appear to be eating it up so, I won’t rain on this parade.   If people are having fun wi

It's a Little Singed But SMACKDOWN's Ready to Go....

A Good Tuesday Evening, To You Enthusiasts! I hope it went well.   So, we’ve all been left with quizzical looks on our faces as we try to determine why Sami Zayn fell back into his toxic relationship with Kevin Owens.  Tonight we should get some insight on why Zayn decided to lend a hand to him and not the Commissioner, Shane McMahon who, supposedly, is laid up in a hospital somewhere with multiple injuries.  I don’t know, Enthusiasts.  Would you say the McMahon Family honor is upheld?  Something tells me it’s fine 😉 Not too surprisingly though, we’ll have a rematch for the US Title tonight, as well since AJ Styles is going to opt to use his option clause to get a second chance.  Corbin used some sneak-itude first time out, we’ll see if Styles gets wise.  Word is also that the ladies in Becky Lynch and Carmella will box potentially over some Money in the Bank beef.  We’ll see if that gets feisty.  And The Usos contemplate re-establishing their tag-team supremacy.  On t

Feelin' Loose, Ready & RAW...

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts! So, Hell in a Cell opened well and closed well but there wasn’t much to speak of in-between.   Have to say I was a little disappointed at that but at least there were some bright spots.    The Usos and The New Day lost their minds in the Cell and Shane McMahon, God bless him, took one more for the team but for what?... More on that tomorrow. So, mum’s the word as for what we can expect for tonight’s RAW.   Only speculation is that foundation may be laid to set-up a 6-Man-Tag for TLC with Sheamus and Cesaro teaming up with The Miz to take on a reformed Shield.   Personally, I would only like to see this if it’s set-up well.   If all it is, is a sloppy publicity stunt, they can have it.   If reuniting The Shield isn’t done right, there’s no point in doing it at all.   It would be another mark of WWE using a Band-Aid for issues that require surgery.   I don’t mind hints and teases but if they don’t have a fully fleshed out, killer angle, that’s all

Who Amongst You Can Withstand Hell in a Cell!!!!!...

Well, it shouldn't be too hard, just spectating right 😉 A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts! I hope it is treating you well.  Tonight we have the latest SmackDown PPV installment of Hell in the Cell and the main draw is that of Shane McMahon defending his family's honor against Kevin Owens.  This could be a good match but with the underlying theme being Owens' delusional heel-itude, I'm not sure it will have the crackle-pop of a more standard contest.  Personally, I feel that the match between Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode may be the match of the night, though there a lot of places for surprises. I haven't been all too impressed with the lead-up for the tag-team match between The Usos and The New Day but they tend to bring it come showtime.  Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Natalya and Charlotte make us rethink the Women's Division as well.  Both are solid in the ring and shouldn't disappoint.  Outside of that, my money's on Randy Orton and Ru

I Know! What About a SMACKDOWN! ...Too Soon?...

Happy Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts. Yes, I know, it’s still a little hard to be too jovial with current events hanging in the air as they are but let us try, shall we?  It is the Go-Home SmackDown for Hell in a Cell this Sunday so, they’ll try to get us ready and raring to go for it.  I don’t see why we can’t play along. Looking at what’s been announced, it appears we’ll see if Tye Dillinger is able to keep himself from falling to pieces during a rematch against Baron Corbin.  I say this because his character comes off as one that could be easily...unhinged.  Something in the eyes says, “delicate”.  Corbin, on the other hand, will probably pick on this presumed weakness and we’ll see if that bites him.  Also on the docket, Shinsuke Nakamura will sit for an interview, we’ll see if it’s with or without mouthpiece.  And the New Day will hear what The Usos have to say regarding their "rights".  So far, I haven’t been displeased with this light rivalry but I believe th

Today Is Very Tough & RAW...

Good Evening, Enthusiasts. I’m sure for many of you, this is a hard Monday with the aftermath of the Las Vegas massacre still fresh.   Not to mention dear Tom Petty currently hangs on for dear life.   Thoughts and prayers are plentiful.  Please keep them coming 🙏 In other news, we have more mundane matters to see to in the WWE Universe.  And given what's currently in the news, the distraction is welcome.    It appears our resident “KingSlayer” in Seth Rollins will bravely face Braun Strowman in a contest tonight.   Not sure what to expect but I'm sure Rollins will be wily.   Also, we have a Championship match with Roman Reigns, humbly attempting to secure the Intercontinental Title.   Personally, I feel that though everyone may expect a “win”, I wouldn’t be surprised if a loss goes off better.   Sets up things for a better story to tell but we’ll see what they do.   The Miz being The Miz, this could very well end up in a DQ.   As for the ladies, veteran Mickie James h
