Wait, SmackDown's Got FastLane First then WrestleMania...

But after that, it’s on! 😉 Good Evening, Enthusiasts! So, RAW continued to make sense, more or less and to everyone’s shock and surprise, Roman Reigns, yes, Roman Reigns cut a clean, solid promo.   I’m still not sure it happened but there’s proof so, it must have.   It could have been a stand-in but, as far as I could tell, he managed it.   Supposedly, it was a bit of a shoot because Brock Lesnar didn’t show but I’m not so sold that wasn’t on purpose.   I think it’s all a work but we’ll see. As for tonight, SmackDown is in my hood of Los Angeles at the Staples Center.   So, I’ll be kinda “live tweeting”.    Action-wise, we’ll see how John Cena will get himself a ticket to WrestleMania. Guess I don’t mind if he’s there.   Naomi will give that sassafras, Ruby Riott something to think about. Sami Zayn will see if Baron Corbin wants another “ginger beer” and The Usos will start lighting us up with the New Day as we gear up for FastLane and then WrestleMania.   It should be

Elimination Chamber Is Over! RAW's All About WrestleMania now...

Happy Monday to You, Enthusiasts! Elimination Chamber has come and gone and though there were some underwhelming parts, I have to say I wasn’t displeased with it.   Actually, I was surprised that they gave the win to Roman Reigns.   I was expecting Braun Strowman or maybe Finn Bálor to get it, though I still think he’s a wee bit small for Heavyweight play but, it would seem he wants to be the new “underdog”.   Yet, no.   They went with what was speculated and set the scene for Brock “Gun Jack” Lesnar and for WrestleMania.   I’m sure some stipulation or 3 rd  and/or 4 th participant will probably be added but that’s fine.   I just hope they have a plan for what happens after.   Word is that Lesnar will probably go back to the UFC with his suspension up so, the WWE has to get themselves a full-time Champion.   It may be why rumors have been flying about Bobby Lashley because word is he’s set to sign but that would be precursors to next year I would think but, who knows.   They do lik

We're Gonna Need a Bigger Elimination Chamber...

A Good Sunday to You, Enthusiasts! So, we will gather tonight for the Elimination Chamber and the thing about this PPV is that it just so happens to be a night where the wrestlers get to shine.   There’s not much story circulating, it’s pretty much what it is.   People are going to box and they have to make us like it and want more. Just looking at the match card, it’s looking like the intrigue will surround who will have the better Elimination Chamber match, the Ladies or the Gentlemen?   It’s hard to say because the Ladies know they have to bring it just so they don’t get pegged for “bathroom break” time, and the Gentlemen have to earn their keep because they’re supposed to be the main draw.   Not only do they have to demonstrate why they close, they have to do so with practically the whole roster in the match.   Might as well be a Battle Royale.   Nevertheless, the way this evening is set-up, in theory, this is a sort of a make or break night.   If you do well, it’s easie

SMACKDOWN Only Knows How to Work...Don't Take Days Off...

Good Evening, Enthusiasts! Last night was dare I say it, a night full of wrestling!   Yeah, I know!   Been a long time since they got to basics, huh.   Yes, Seth Rollins set off to earn some street cred by besting both the likes of Roman Reigns and John Cena in an impressive 1-hour and 5-minute showing in last night’s Gauntlet Match.   He hung in there and it was entertaining.   I wasn’t looking to change the channel once.   It was a commendable effort.   Needless to say, Braun Strowman came out and took about 20 minutes to decimate The Miz in the end but, we’re all kinda fine with that.   This Elimination Chamber may just be fun one.   Let’s keep our fingers crossed. As for tonight, Smackdown is gearing up for Fastlane along with WrestleMania so, Benjamin, Gable and Associates will battle in a #1 Contenders match against the New Day, we’ll see how that goes.    AJ Styles will contemplate his upcoming Fatal-5-Way and the Riott Squadd want to show the SmackDown vets the old-fol

If RAW Doesn't Stop for Christmas, Why Would It Stop for Presidents' Day?...

Happy President’s Day, Enthusiasts! I hope the bulk of you had the day off and are enjoying it fully.  So, today we get back into the swing of things and that’s the forward charge to Elimination Chamber and more importantly, WrestleMania.  For tonight’s Go-Home show, we have a few things scheduled for our entertainment.  The 7 participants for the Elimination Chamber will face off tonight in a Gauntlet Match.  I’m leaning towards Finn Bálor taking it since he seems to be well-received.  I think the WWE has begun to accept that We the Audience do have somewhat of a say in matters because we’re the paying customers.   Though, I understand realism and sometimes not playing things to taste in the name of the concept but, for the most part, people aren’t going to pay for something they don’t want to see so might as well give people a sense of curiosity and anticipation.  No sense of having a PPV if no one wants to watch, much less pay. The Ladies will counter with a 6-Woman tag-te

Man, SmackDown Is Always Real...The Realest!...

A Good Tuesday to You Enthusiasts, Well, I’m just as shocked as many but RAW is actually starting to make some kind of sense.   I don’t know what to say.   We were left with a cliff hanger with Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins sure they vanquished Bray Wyatt. Looks like everyone’s gonna be in that Chamber.   I’m coming out the 38 th  ðŸ˜‰ In any case, the WWE continues to take a brief tour of Central California as they park in Bakersfield to keep the party going.   Fastlane is what SmackDown is focused on though, word on the street is that due to low ticket sales, members from both rosters will start showing up at the PPVs.   Gives us more incentive to watch.   I can see that.   I’m watching anyway but that would be more interesting.   They could have inter-brand beefs like with the faux Game of Thrones bit they did for Survivor Series.   People took the bait.   They love the sigils on my blog.   What can we say?   It’s a phenomenon.   Caught me up.   The WWE could certainly add a

You Want Real? You Gotta Get RAW...

A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! The weekend was way too short for me.   Thank goodness for the 3-day one coming up but I digress. Tonight, in the WWE Universe we make our trek towards Wrestlemania by gearing up for the 1 st RAW exclusive PPV in the form of the Elimination Chamber.   It’s a steady trek and personally, the march seems a little more focused than usual.   Could one of the WWE’s resolutions for 2018 be to actually make some sense?   Hmmm, a bold task for this Universe.   Not that I wouldn’t appreciate a more coherent presentation it’s just, a bit of the wild fun that comes from the WWE is its “by the seat of its pants”-edness.   That "who knows what’s next" feeling even wafting through the roster on game night is part of the excitement. Take tonight for example.   Generally speaking, nothing is slated for tonight outside of a 2 nd chance Fatal-4-Way between Bray Wyatt, Finn Bálor, Matt Hardy and Apollo Crews for a slot in the Elimination Chambe

SmackDown Likes It Well-Done...If You Get My Drift...

A Splendid Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! RAW did well to get us raring to go for the week, I have to say.  Just to start, I was compelled to send “Get Well” wishes out to Jason Jordan today because it sounds like he’ll have to sit out the year to avoid surgery on a neck injury.  Sucks.   Hang in there, dude! In any case, the RAW Roster is more concerned with the Elimination Chamber presently so, SmackDown has to work up its own steam tonight.  It looks like it’s managing to do that with the Main Event set for the inevitable “friendship” break-up between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens as they battle for a chance to box AJ Styles for the WWE Title at their PPV, FastLane.  Personally, I’m leaning on Owens just because I think it would make for a more interesting match.  God Bless him but there’s something about Zayn, it’s like he’s trying too hard.  He’s got the talent and I don’t mind the rapport with Owens but I’m not exactly hoping to see him or miss him when he’s gone.  I would

Do You Want It RAW or Not?...

Hello There, Enthusiasts! How goes it for you this Monday?   Well, we now prepare ourselves for the RAW exclusive Elimination Chamber PPV and to begin the progression, we have Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns squaring off in a qualifying match.   Now, here is something that I think is a bit of a pity because I think Wyatt could add some bite to the final showdown.   Conversely, it wouldn’t feel quite the same without a Roman Reigns in the final bout as well.   Say what you will, Enthusiasts.   Whether you like it or not, the man sets We the Audience a buzz and it wouldn’t seem as much fun without him at the party.   Hmm….what do you think, Enthusiasts?   Hijinks ensue?   Some strange disqualification?   Something happens that leads to another stipulation match?   Who can say.   The Ladies have to prepare for their Elimination Match as well so, expect that tide to start coming in after that or before...it’s anyone’s guess. That’s all that’s actually advertised for tonight.   John Cena
