RAW Clears the Way for Saturday Night: Main Event!

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   A Merry Monday to you. So, there’s not much going on in the Wrestling World at the moment so this will be a short post. It happens from time to time. What are you gonna do? Shall we just dive in? Here we go.   Well, the only thing kind of going around is speculation of AJ Lee returning to action after her re-debut. There were advertisements with her for RAW on November 17 th but word is that’s been scrapped so who knows.   Given how well-received she was, I can understand her waiting for something worth suiting back up for. With Lord Seth Rollins out, it may be a good time to start some shit with Lady Becky Lynch. She may be tapped to help fill the void. There’s also potential with both Roxanne Perez and Giulia with them both known for being “crazy” too. There’s stuff to do, for sure. Creative just has to flesh some stuff out. Can’t waste the lady’s time πŸ˜‰   With that, let’s just get to tonight’s business as tonight’s...

SmackDown Helps Wrap Up October...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another Friday and I hope it’s a good one for you. There’s not much to report in the Wrestling World and it’s pretty quiet in the WWE Universe so, it should be a short post for the most part but there is some Fallout in the Realm of AEW so, we’ll talk a little about that but that’s about it. Ready to hash it out? Let’s go.   It was business as usual in the Realm of AEW for as much as I could tell. Darby Allin appears emboldened having won the “I Quit” Match and Jon Moxley, well…there appears to be some “regrets”. This disappointment seemed to spill out during his match with Kyle O’Reilly. Having shown that he is human, O’Reilly was not intimidated and was able to lock Moxley up enough to make him feel the only recourse was to take out the referee rather than tap. The brazen act caused the benches to clear and to me, that was the first clear indication of what is to come. My friends, the Future has Begun.   Expect things to r...

RAW Sets the November Schedule...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to Monday. Another day, another dollar as They say. We have a couple things to chat about as AEW had their WrestleDream PPV last weekend. The WWE Universe grumblings are minimal in comparison at present though we have some things to kick around. That should keep this post at a decent length so, let’s get into it, shall we? Here we go.   So, the highly anticipated “I Quit” Match between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley closed things out for WrestleDream as it could go for hours and hours given how these 2 were talking. Thankfully, it was about 35 minutes but I would say for the most part it was well-executed. Moxley was honest in how he was going to wear Allin down as he gave him plenty and then let the Death Riders get their hits in. Then he half drowned him in an aquarium before Sting made a cameo to “stop the nonsense” to give Allin the edge and win.   My only notes are that I feel Allin has to do more in these kinds of match...

Crown Jewel-Perth ─ SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? A happy Friday to you. Well, there are a couple things we can chat about today but overall, not much has grabbed my attention. That should make for a short post, but we’ll see. Ready to break the tidbits down? Let’s get to it. Over in the Realm of AEW it does appear that we are getting some foreshadowing for the Future. I have to say that I was kinda proud of the vignette between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley. They’ve come such a long way and the potential for the Future seems confirmed. It’s quite exciting. On top of that, Allin has plenty to contemplate when going into an “I Quit” Match with Mox, especially if he’s beat to hell before the thing even starts.  All I’ll say is remember what didn’t work. I can appreciate giving this feud some gravitas but ultimately, we as spectators want to have fun. It’s hard to enjoy the thing when it just looks like Allin is getting picked on. Go too far and people’s morals get challenged. That’s why I don’t care for Dea...

Crown Jewel-Perth ─ RAW Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another Monday and I get to enjoy the old schedule for a moment. I should be back to it full time come November but for now, I’ll take in a little nostalgia.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things to talk about but I’ll be sticking to the obvious for the time being. Shall we get started? Let’s.   So, in the Realm of AEW Darby Allin and Jon Moxley appear to understand the assignment as Allin continues to take it to Mox as he crashed a panel at the New York Comic-Con to rough Mox up. Well, it looked like Allin got a lot of that but you know what I mean. He’s not afraid of Mox! Which is the right way to proceed.   Yet, if I’m Mox, I’m treating Allin like a cat. Given he’s 45lbs., Mox should be grabbing for the scruff and trying to “put him outside”. I know Orange Cassidy is more inherently cat-like but Allin is just skinny enough to manhandle so that’s what Mox should be doing. Completely “disrespecting” ...

Crown Jewel-Perth - Matches of Interest

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Here we are at Crown Jewel-Perth and we’ll see if this is another so-so PPV. Given the timing, it could be but if WWE is planning more comprehensively and aiming for Survivor Series, we could get some tidbits of foreshadowing. A few years ago, I wouldn’t have bothered speculating. They certainly weren’t thinking that far ahead outside of booking the venue but these days, how to lay the groundwork for the future appears to be what these Creative Changes floating around are all about. You all know I’m all for it. But first, what about this Crown Jewel? It’s not the first show in Perth but it’s the first Crown Jewel to be held in Perth. I suppose this is how WWE plans to incorporate international shows, which I have no problem with. Yet, given the inaugural nature, you’d think there’d be some pizazz to this show.  Well, if it’s to transpire, it will be in what’s not advertised if you ask me. The show is booked solid but I don’t see any matches I’d be dying...

SmackDown Makes Itself Comfortable in Perth...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Friday? I have definitely had worse ones. So, there are a few things I can chat about in the Wrestling World. There are some rumors floating around but I’ll be focusing more on observations. Are you up for it? Let’s find out.   We’ll start off in the Realm of AEW as they are preparing for the Future. I like what I’m seeing to be honest. I checked out what those Riders of Death are up to and Darby Allin as well. Allin appears to have been given the nod to usher in the Future and I’m all for it. He may be 45lbs. but he gets it.   He’s ready for this “I Quit” Match with Jon Moxley and will set the whole place on fire if he has to. Well, that’s the only thing Mox understands.   I hope they continue to have fun, just mind the limits. This can touch on the humorous but not the ridiculous. It’s a fine line, I know but things have to always go “kayfabe too far”. Remember what got me bitching in the first place. No one ...

RAW Points to Crown Jewel-Perth....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   A Merry Monday to you! So, there’s not much to talk about but there’s been some talk. Given that, this will be a fairly short post but that’s all right. Sometimes it’s best to just get to it. Let me just say my little piece and then we can get on with the evening.   So, all the talk of late has been concerning last week’s SmackDown and the “botch of the century” with Nia Jax just missing her kickout. To me, it seemed very relatable. She must have just missed the count or was thinking about something else. She just spaced if you ask me. But most were upset with the referee and Tiffany Stratton for not going with things as is. Apparently, general rule is to play the match as witnessed so if someone goofs, oh well, that’s what goes down in “history”. The miscommunication basically just led to a do-over and a lot of boos and comments on social media.   I don’t mind that these ladies had a human moment. It happens. Yet, WWE should es...

WrestlePalooza I - SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! It’s another Happy Friday. How’s everyone doing? Well, it’s something else to be an American right now but there are some little glimmers of hope as we seem to be mostly agreed on preserving the right of Free Speech. So, I guess it’s not all bad.  As for the Wrestling World, there are few things going on. Nothing shocking, just your general rumblings but I’ve got a few things to chat about. Are you up for it? Let’s get started. So, we’ll take a brief stop in the Realm of AEW as they had their Fallout for their All Out PPV on this week’s Dynamite. I just checked in to get an update on the Future and what I saw simply reminded me of Young Frankenstein. It wasn’t bad but I am teasing a little as many may know, Darby Allin understands that Jon Moxley only understands pain and the “extreme” so he set him on fire for like 3 seconds at All Out. At the end of Dynamite , Allin came out with a flamethrower and kept Moxley and his Riders of Death on the de...

WrestlePalooza I - RAW Fallout....

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Did you go ahead and get ESPN to watch WrestlePalooza? Well, you didn’t miss much if you didn’t. I have to agree with the general consensus that for all the hype it was a very okay show. No one was surprised that Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky took Match of the Night but everything else well, it was polished for the most part but kinda what WWE does. So, they have to sit with themselves and think about it if they don’t like the response. They do this sort of thing.   I say that because I basically had them read right but just got the matches they’d pull the trigger on the Face(s) wrong. I figured John Cena would be given the win over Brock Lesnar but it looks like they decided to give the W to AJ Lee and CM Punk. I knew if 1 got the win, the other probably wouldn’t and I was right.   And on top of that, it looks like they probably would have gotten a better response if they had gone my way as many were gearing up to cheer Cena on h...

WrestlePalooza I - Matches of Interest

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? There are some interesting times before us. WrestlePalooza debuts upon the worst backdrop you could ask for. It’s mired in controversy by association and it’s not of its own making. How do you make lemonade out of this? It’s possible but it’s due to circumstances that I’m looking at 2 matches.  The first match is the slated opener, Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena. Now, I never saw them throwdown in their heyday and I’ll keep to my parkour philosophy of always going forward so, I won’t watch any old matches but knowing what the conclusion is, so to speak, I’m interested to see how they incorporate all that they know. Lesnar is in an uncomfortable spot given his personal reputation is somewhat tarnished. We don’t mind him being big and bad in the ring but that doesn’t translate well to real time living. There’s nothing wrong with him having fun being a terror but it doesn’t wipe his slate clean.  Thankfully, it doesn’t need to. Given everything, I think C...
