Survivor Series 2025 - SmackDown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   A happy Friday to you! So, there’s some big news circulating and some other business but otherwise a quiet day in the Wrestling World. Since I have a few things to say, let’s get into it, shall we? Here we go.   As many of you probably already know, Netflix is going to acquire Warner Brothers. That is huge. It marks the end of an era certainly. In a way it’s promising because I may have full access to the Looney Tunes Library through Netflix not to mention the Matrix franchise and a plethora of other content but the question mark that hovers for our world is how will both WWE and AEW exist under the same roof?   I suppose it’s too soon to say. I guess in theory it doesn’t matter. Both have to work with Netflix but it is an interesting set of bedfellows. I’m thinking they remain separate for the most part but will that allow Netflix subscribers to view AEW PPVs without extra cost? Hmmm…I’m not opposed to that. In that respect, AE...

Survivor Series 2025 - RAW Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts!   Welcome back to the daily grind if you had Thanksgiving off. Well, the topic of discussion will primarily focus on Survivor Series/War Games. It wasn’t a bad show but it wasn’t spectacular either. Yet we were left with a taste of intrigue so there’s some stuff we can get into. Ready? Here we go.   So, yeah, Survivor Series was a limited show since most time and attention was given to the War Games matches. There has been a recent general gripe among fans being somewhat tired of the War Games set-up and I can’t say I’m in the same boat but I’m usually for mixing things up.   I wouldn’t say it hurt the show but it did raise some questions of how to portray these shows. There was some talk about how the Ladies didn’t really hold to the concept of kayfabe after their match. That’s okay if there’s no live crowd but you ruin any mystique if you play it that way. Word is that Nia Jax and Lash Legend held character until backstage at lea...

Survivor Series 2025 - Matches of Interest

How's It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Survivor Series! Here we are again and I wouldn't say I'm excited but I am curious about the show. It's better than previous years, that's for sure but it's hard to say how it all goes. Though things are in a better place, it doesn't guarantee a good show. However, the likelihood of it being one is higher than usual, I'll give it that.  So, we'll see if they avoid being too formulaic but it's due to that tendency that I'll focus outside of the WarGames Matches. Let's start with Dominik Mysterio vs. John Cena. This is for the Intercontinental Championship and how it goes will give us insight into what direction WWE wants to go.  First, let's just look at the facts. It's Cena's Retirement Tour so, keeping a Title on him doesn't make sense. Yet, it's also his retirement tour so, does it make sense for him to take the L against a punk like Dom? Personally, I'd have Cena win so that th...

SmackDown Finalized Preparation for Survivor Series Last Week...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy after Thanksgiving to those who apply. To everyone else, a Happy Friday. Many of us Stateside have the day off and I just happen to be one of them. It’s nice to have an extra day to digest. As for the Wrestling World, there are some things going on but not that much. There’s enough to have a chat so, let’s get to it.   In the Realm of AEW the Future seems to be manifesting as it should since Jon Moxley is out there cutting promos right after the fight. Looked like he cut the one on this week’s Dynamite right after getting tapped out by Kyle O’Reilly. Maybe wiped his face with a towel and just went for it, looking and sounding crazy. This guy is gonna get himself carted away πŸ˜‰ I didn’t mind it ‘cause it did make me chuckle a bit so, I can tell it’s for play but it’s fine if others can’t make that distinction. Then those people just don’t get it.   As for the action, we get some intrigue as Moxley got himself a showdown wi...

RAW Makes Sure We're Ready for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another Monday and it’s Go-Home week for Survivor Series. There was a chance that I might attend this time around but upon thinking about it…I figured I’d be happier at home. It’s hard to do what I do and be a present patron. But WrestleMania should be another story πŸ˜‰ In the meantime, let’s get caught up and ready for tonight’s show.   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW since they had their Full Gear PPV this past Saturday. As I’m sure many of you have gathered, I’m only interested in the Future so I checked out the Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly match and it was basically Part 2 to their Blood & Guts match. It might have been bloodier. You could say that Mox “forked” him but O’Reilly forked him back and eventually tapped Mox out again with the ankle lock.   Mox seemed to take it in stride but then proceeded to become a sore loser and dished out some unsportsmanlike conduct before exiting with the rest of the Riders of Deat...

SmackDown Keeps the Pot Simmering for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! So, there are some grumblings in the Wrestling World but they don’t concern me much. Yet, that doesn’t mean I don’t have some things to talk about. I’ll try to keep it short but I may ramble a bit. Excuse me in advance. Let’s get to it, shall we?   We’ll spend a little time in the Realm of AEW as I had to check in on the progress of the Future. But before we get into that, I saw that Dante Martin was action so, I took a look at how he’s doing.   I called him out as an up-and-coming prospect a while back but then he got that gnarly foot injury and I wasn’t sure how he would recover. Thankfully, it seems he’s back to his high-flying ways but he was in a 6-Man-Tag against the likes of the Young Bucks or rather the Brothers Jackson and some other gentleman. I don’t recall who was on his team.   However, with talent like Martin’s, I couldn’t help but think, “Why isn’t he up against guys like Ricochet or even tha...

RAW Keeps Us Going at a Good Pace for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   The rains continue in Southern California. Looks like it’ll be spotty throughout the week. We’ll see if it affects my schedule. In the meantime, the Wrestling World is kinda quiet so this should be quick. Not gonna lie and act like I’m more interested than I am. If it piques my interest, it piques my interest.   The Realm of AEW appears to be doing its thing smoothly so, no need to comment as of now. The Future is Bright and on its way. So, let’s go straight to the WWE Universe.   On tonight’s RAW, The “Last Time Is Now” Tournament continues and it looks like we’ll get another “surprise”. We got Zack Ryder aka Matt Cardona last week on SmackDown and though it was back to jobbing, he looked good. He gave LA Knight a run for his money and then did what he was paid to do. Tonight, it’s Solo Sikoa who gets to wait with bated breath to see who he faces.   As for the rest of the action, we can anticipate Heel Nikki Bella taki...

SmackDown Keeps Us on Track for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s a rainy one in Southern California. Given the time of year, it’s a good time to stay nice and snuggly inside. I’ve been making the most of it πŸ˜‰ As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things going on but nothing setting the world on fire. We’ll get into a bit of it but this shouldn’t be a long post. Not that much to talk about but enough for a brief chat. Let’s get started, shall we?   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as they had their Blood & Guts event on Dynamite this week. All I cared about was the main event so, I checked that out. Well, I just hope everyone has their immunizations up to date because this stuff is a mess . So, I didn’t care for the “gore” but my focus, as always, is on the progression of the Future and I see that we’re getting there slowly but surely. As it should be.   Jon Moxley has been operating with some humility as one would think he’d be the final entrant, but he let PAC have the honors...

RAW Does Double Duty for John Cena & Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   A Merry Monday to you! So, there’s not much to speak of so far. There are a few continuations from last week but it’s generally a slow wrestling news day so, this should be short but we’ll see. I know I can start to ramble. Given that, shall we just get to it? Let’s dive in.   The Realm of AEW seems to be doing fine as they’re preparing for their Blood & Guts event that’s to be held this week. It looks like Jon Moxley will have to watch from the sidelines as who I’ve been playfully calling “Krista’s Dad” aka Roderick Strong took him out with some help from Mox’s new bane of existence, Darby Allin.   Strong gets the monicker because he looks like someone’s dad. I wouldn’t look at him and say he’s a wrestler, but Krista’s Dad for sure πŸ˜‰ I don’t know if he has kids but he has that look certainly. He’s a solid wrestler though, I’ve noticed.   This turn of events is likely to result in some retribution so, Wednesday Nig...

SmackDown Clears the Way for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Friday? Getting used to the time change, if it applies? Can’t say this is the most exciting end of the week but some beneficial changes are pending on the horizon for me so, can’t really complain.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things going on but we’ll only touch on one issue because I keep seeing it pop up but besides that, it should be a short post. So, without further ado, let’s get to it.   As many of you may have already heard, Ridge Holland now going by his real name, Luke Menzies, has got himself fired from WWE. Word is that he bad-mouthed them on social media and the response was to be expected. Unfortunately for him, the timing couldn’t be worse. On top of that, he suffered an injury working a TNA show and may have to get neck fusion surgery. Worst case, the man is out of action for about 2 years with a family to feed and house.   The dire circumstances have forced Menzies to resort...

RAW Starts Prepping for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Getting through another Monday? That’s me for sure. Well, we got a couple things to chat about so shouldn’t be that long of a post but we’ll see where we end up. Ready to get into it? Here we go.   The Saturday Night: Main Event has come and gone and it was pretty standard I would say, like a polished weekly show though some would say it could have been cleaner, especially when it came to Jey Uso. I’ll just chalk that up to him staying in character.   He does seem poised for a Heel Turn.   I would say this show was a clear demonstration of “displaying realism” as none of the matches were stellar but they were hard-fought and do progress the general storylines in play. Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes opened and many took to social media to protest the treatment of McIntyre. When can the guy get a break was the general consensus.   Personally, I feel him swinging and missing again is par for the course. That’s a big pa...
