SmackDown Accepts that WrestlePalooza Is the Next Destination...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! I’ll let you in on a little secret. This may be one of the last ones I have as a “typical civilian”. My luck seems to be on the upswing but I’ll keep it to that until what’s going to be done, is in fact done. But I’ll just say I’m looking forward to living a less “encumbered” lifestyle. As for the Wrestling World there is at least 1 thing to talk about but I would like to swing by the Realm of AEW first. Shall we get into it? Allow me. Well, it looks like that new kid, Daniel Garcia is continuing to “make mistakes” as he broke and sided with Jon Moxley and his Riders of Death. The scrappy Darby Allin had to take a post match beating to confirm it. Yet, what I like most about this week’s showing is how people are responding to Mox in catering. Getting the hell out of there when he’s a coming is great for the Future. I envision a few instances when people get out of Dodge when they see him marching through. That’s why it all “falls apart” as it ...

RAW Starts to Point Toward the New PLE, Wrestle-Palooza...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Well, we have come full circle as AJ Lee did in fact return last week and I have to say that I’m glad. It feels like some wrongs can get righted and we all can more or less move on, on a more appropriate footing. One of the good things about WWE is that redemption seems to be an underlying theme. You can always come back, for the most part.   My only notes were that they may want to contemplate updating her gear. We’re all older and wiser now and though no one can complain about the shape she’s in, she’s no longer 20-something. I vote for something more fitting for the new and improved version πŸ˜‰   Regardless, she still seems willing and able to bring the “crazy” so we’ll see how this goes. I didn’t factor Lee into the Future but she can certainly participate, especially if it catches Lord Seth Rollins or Lady Becky Lynch any hell, which I don’t see why it couldn’t. We’ll see where it all stands when the time comes.   S...

Clash in Paris 2025 - Smackdown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! So, the Wrestling World has a few things going on. Many of us are “getting our arms twisted” with having to pick up the ESPN app. I’ll probably breakdown next week but I got to see where I can streamline first. Probably going to let Peacock go but we’ll see if it can be saved. It does have some decent content outside of WWE. Yet, I digress. Let’s get into this week’s action. In the Realm of AEW all seems to be going nicely as Darby Allin appears to have put all 45 pounds of himself into becoming a one man wrecking machine against the Riders of Death. He dragged off “The Hooligan”, Gabe Kidd in a body bag hitched to the back of a truck so he means to make an example of anyone he can get his hands on. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley has his eye on recruiting the “naive” Daniel Garcia. Not sure he’s the type to break but stranger things have happened. All in all, this is great for the Future because currently no one has eyes on it which is absolutely perfe...

Clash in Paris 2025 - RAW Fallout

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Did you catch Clash in Paris? Honestly, I’m glad I went in blind. It was a solid show. Nothing anyone needed to see but at the same time, not exactly a waste of time. I liked the main event the most but the Match of the Night went to John Cena vs. Logan Paul. Paul is better than you’d like to give him credit for and he’s accepting Heel-dom well so, we’re going to start loving to hate him. We’re also going to have to get used to Lord Seth Rollins and Lady Becky Lynch acting more as a cohesive unit. With her intervention in the Fatal-4-Way, sources online are stating that she’s now a member of The Vision. Always thought that was a given but if there was any wonder, there it is.   All in all, I wasn’t disappointed with the show. It didn’t need my full attention but it did leave some interesting hints for the Future. The show opened with Roman Reigns and closed with Lynch and Rollins which leads me to think that the seeds are taking root. We ...

Clash in Paris 2025 - Matches of Interest

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s Clash in Paris and I’ll just be honest. I don’t really have any Matches of Interest. This is more me than WWE, though. I’m just not intrigued in that way. I kinda just want to watch and see if anyone impresses. Is that so wrong? I’ll probably be like this until Survivor Series. I’ve seen enough of this to know what’s a big deal and what’s not. I’m going to watch. I haven’t lost my interest but I really can’t comment on what’s going to transpire. I’m just hoping it’s either well-executed or I’m thoroughly entertained.  There’s a lot of room for fun today so I'm more interested to see if they let it happen or try to make it. That may be why I’m so…curious. We see WWE is starting to make things work and get this ship functional. That said, do they forget how to have a good time in the process? Something tells me Clash in Paris is a chance to see.  All the scripted action led us to now. Do we want to be here? We’ve already been here wi...

SmackDown Visits Lyon Before Going to Clash in Paris...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Well, there are some things to talk about but we’ll only focus on a few. I think you probably have an inkling so, why delay. Let’s hop right in. Out in the wilds of the Indies, that incident with Raja Jackson appears to be realer than many may have thought. It got general news traction so something wasn’t right. Apparently, there was some sort of “interaction” backstage that may have led to Jackson going as far as he did. That doesn’t condone the action but it explains what we saw.  Personally, I think this might have been a publicity stunt gone wrong. Jackson being the son of a decorated UFC fighter, I can see why they’d want to display him as “no joke” but the takedown wasn’t done properly and whatever buzz they tried to get going, turned into outrage. That’s where the kid being green comes into play, I would say. Regardless, it forces Rikishi to reevaluate how to move forward. You live and learn, no matter your age. Regarding the Realm of AEW, I went...

RAW Pitstops in England Before Heading to Clash in Paris...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   There are some rumblings in the Wrestling World but it’s on the periphery. A lot of people have an opinion, so I’ll go ahead and serve up mine. Ready? Here we go.   So, in the wilds of the Independent Territories, it appears that the former UFC Champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has a son going by Raja Jackson who seems to be dipping his toes into the pro-wrestling pool. The clip is making the rounds and in it you’ll see the younger Jackson taking out another wrestler and then pummeling him. Most are admonishing him profusely as the taken-out wrestler ended up knocked out and in the hospital.   From what I could see, it looked like Jackson may have been a little too excited at the beginning and simply executed the Spinebuster wrong. The poor guy who took the hit did hit his head hard on the mat. Yet, the “pummeling” looked like the usual stuff to me so…I’m not sure how serious this actually is. Either the kid was just too hyped-...

SmackDown Gets a Head Start on Clash in Paris...

How’s It Going Enthusiasts?   There are some things to chat about but what it concerns is more about digital logistics than wrestling. Shall we just get into it? Shouldn’t be a long post ‘cause of that. Let’s go.   So, that ESPN deal that forces us all to reconsider our streaming services has dropped early. Instead of having until 2026 to think about it, we’re being forced to make a decision now. Things are a lot easier for international viewers but for those of us stateside, we have some decisions to make.   I may have to cancel and resubscribe to HULU under the Disney+ Bundle to make this work for me. I get HBO through them but I could get that through another service I stream so I may just do that to make this make some sense. Looks like Peacock will keep some WWE content so it’s not an either or situation anymore. We’re being forced to consider how we get our fix.   Some commenters are still out mainly due to the point I brought up previously. It’...

RAW Pauses the French Lessons to Attend to Other Matters...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Looking forward to hearing about what the hell is going on with Naomi? I have to say I’m curious. There are a few other tidbits to contemplate making their rounds. Shall we have a brief chat? I’m up for it if you are. Here we go. In the Realm of AEW, the Future seems to be on its way in good time. Yet, the real potential news is talk of Chris Jericho returning to WWE. He’s no spring chicken at 50-something but I think he could certainly be utilized. I can see him either becoming a confidant of Paul Heyman’s or rivaling him as being a slick former performer who knows the ropes and definitely knows how to counter the likes of Heyman and Lord Seth Rollins for that matter.  I think we’re all agreed that in-ring action is out but I’m fine with him backing up brawl action and not being afraid to tussle backstage when trouble finds him but I see him talking and perhaps sitting in on Commentary from time to time. I’m not opposed to it if they just keep it hones...

RAW Suggests Everyone Brushes Up on Their French...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Just another Monday? Yeah, same here for the most part. Well, there’s not much going on in the Wrestling World though…I’ll just say that seeds have been planted for the Future but only those who know what the Future Holds know what that means πŸ˜‰ Besides that, we have a talking point or 2. Let’s get to it, shall we.   There’s not much to comment on in the Realm of AEW so, we’ll just keep to the WWE Universe as the news there is that Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been moved to the Alumni section. However, many feel this is some sort of work, similar to R-Truth’s dismissal or Seth Rollins’ injury. Most are expecting a return and perhaps reincarnation that explains the actions.   Personally, I don’t really mind either way. Kross was more interesting in NXT but I don’t know if we can take him that seriously in WWE without the cool entrance. And if he’s not imposing enough, I would have tried him as being comically crazy. We don’t h...

SummerSlam 2025 - SmackDown Fallout...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s a mixed bag of a week, isn’t it? Some stuff to consider generally speaking. The Wrestling World is more or less quiet but there are some changes coming down the pike that will certainly force us to think about what’s worth spending money on. We’ll get in to that in a little bit but let’s have our little chat. We’ll make a stop in the Realm of AEW as we didn’t so much get glances at the Future but we did see how the present is moving along. The Riders of Death are still messing with people. Mike “Speedball” Bailey had to do what he had to, to survive against Jon Moxley and though he took the L, he was impressive. He’s got Babyface written all over him so I didn’t mind the uphill battle he tried to climb. It wasn’t exactly fair but we all know it’s not gonna be. That’s why Darby Allin had to throw some action in. That kid has been growing on me and his latest stunt continues to lead me to give him consideration. He “kidnapped” an interfering Wheeler Yuta...

RAW Has to Deal with a Lot of SummerSlam Fallout...

Image
How’s It Going Enthusiasts?   Well, it was quite the SummerSlam this year, wasn’t it πŸ˜‰ I was expecting surprises but none quite like Brock Lesnar returning. Though, kinda par for the WWE course it definitely makes it a bit uncomfortable to participate. However, if John Cena ever wanted someone “big and bad” to slay before retiring, Lesnar is it. Yet, that’s not all that happened so let’s touch on the high points before we contemplate the giant “ ? ”   I think for me, Night 1 wins just due to lack of controversy. Or at least, the controversy was scripted. Night 2 makes going forward very hazy but it’s not impossible. As for Match of the Nights, most liked the main events in both cases. CM Punk vs. GUNTHER was just what I expected it to be. Punk getting glory for 2 minutes before Lord Seth Rollins comes in to show him how it’s really gonna be. That’s great for the Future.   Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena was great, in my opinion. It had all the ups and downs. I was...
