How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Sunday! Hopefully you got Monday off. If not, there’s no shame in catching the show later. Since this is a short card, I’m only looking at 2 matches. Everyone else will just have to earn their keep and I’m pretty sure they’ll be able to do that. So, let’s get into it.   The first match I’m looking at appears set to have all sorts of hijinks as Lil’ Yachty tries to stay alive for 5 minutes against Baron Corbin. Given the “training video” Yachty debuted on this week’s SmackDown , it’s hard to say Yachty takes this seriously. I’m thinking he enlists local sports talent either from the Atlanta Hawks or the Atlanta Falcons to do the dirty work for him or this proves to be 5 minutes of comedy while Yachty runs around the ring and perhaps the arena trying to evade Corbin.   I don’t mind either as long as it’s entertaining. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy 3-day Weekend for those in the United States. So, it is an interesting time in the Wrestling World. AEW appears to be proving that they’re no flash in the pan and may very well be here to stay as the promotion for real pro-wrestling. I think this is fine because as we all should know, WWE isn’t the best place for pro-wrestling in its purest form. It’s more about sensationalism and “fisticuffs” I would say but I prefer it so, no complaints here.   In any case, after a successful All In, the Realm of AEW had its Fallout and I would say it was respectable. They overran their 2-hour allocation and from the looks of it, it was simply allowed. I didn’t see anything that specifically needed more time. So, a nitpicker could call it “sloppy” but if Warner/Discovery doesn’t have a problem with it, that’s just unnecessary bitching.   I will say that it’s looking like “The Hooligan” Gabe Kidd is going to be “a problem” going forward. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to a new week! Well, AEW made a splash this weekend, now they have to figure out what’s next. WWE had NXT action but they stayed out the way and I would say that was best. You could say AEW established themselves this weekend but they’re still a ways a way from being a true threat to WWE. I’d say, this simply stokes the fires of competition and that isn’t a bad thing in this backdrop. Let’s get into it, shall we?   So, The New Level fka The New Day did make their debut and it was pretty much what you’d expect. They got a solid pop but I think the lack of surprise kept the cap on it. Most heard about it so, it was just a matter of confirming the rumor.   The action wasn’t much different from what we’d might see in a Battle Royale only the prize was a Trios Title that the New Level + Swerve Strickland won. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to the weekend! I’m sure as hell ready for it. So, this is AEW’s weekend as big things appear set to happen at All In. Most expect debuts from the New Day and possibly Ilja Dragunov. And we can’t forget the big match between Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega. I’ll touch on it, of course, before getting back to the WWE Universe which is relatively quiet.   There are debuts pending as it looks like we’ll get formally introduced to Lola Vice and Zilla Fatu in the coming days but since those who only focus on the main roster, like I do, only know of these players, we’ll have to see if we like ‘em.   That all said, let’s get into the rundown and then we can get back to closing out summer. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Hope you had a great weekend. We’re back at it and there’s not much to discuss but I got a couple things we can chat about. Here we go.   In the Realm of AEW, Collision set the scene for a few matters that will play out abroad as this week’s Dynamite is slated for a Glasgow, Scotland show before they hit Wembley Stadium for All In. Since my primary concern continues to be The Future, I just stopped by to see what was going on with the Riders of Death and they have a bit of a speed bump ahead of them as Claudio Castagnoli bested fellow compatriot in Daniel Garcia to advance in the Continental Cup.   Garcia gave a valiant effort though at no point was there any real inclination of him winning. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Welcome to the weekend! So, there’s a bit to chat about. Not that much but enough to have a decent post so let’s get right into it and then go relax.   We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as the march to All In starts to ramp up to a gallop. The future is what matters at the moment but I think after All In, The Future will start coming back to the fore but for now, I appreciate the forward thinking AEW is showing.   The major point of interest is naturally the showdown between Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega. What I like about this is the way Omega plays it. At the moment, Ospreay is coming off like a hothead and Omega appears to be doing what he can to get in his head and “trigger” him. You could say that he’s being “The Heel” here but there’s a sort of Pai Mei (of Pulp Fiction fame) sensibility to it. He’s being hard on him to prompt the “next level” out of him it seems. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another week. I had a mini break last week so I’m looking forward to it. As for the Wrestling World, there isn’t much going on so this will be a short post but I’ll try to make it engaging nevertheless. Let’s get to it.   In the Realm of AEW they did one of their double-headers and pre-recorded last week’s Collision. The only points of note to me were Jack Perry seeming to be ready for the big time. Swerve Strickland may be the one who sees for sure but Perry’s not afraid to put the “money maker” on the line.   This makes me chuckle a little. I’m all for Perry becoming his own man but it leaves the door open for some cheeky asides. If I rode death, I’d be suspicious of any promotional activity with original 90210 stars. Beware Jason Priestley rolling through with some hockey goons 😉 Somebody has to look out for the kid. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! There are a few things we can chat about but this has been a kinda slow week. It’s only natural to have a lull from time to time. Makes the big events feel bigger. This should keep this a fairly short post so, let’s get into it so we can get on with our weekend. Here we go.   In the Realm of AEW, the focus is on All In at the end of the month. All the action and preparation is geared towards that. This doesn’t have too much to directly do with The Future but that’s all right. There’s plenty of time for that.   What I will say is that MJF is continuing to do his job. He is making it quite clear he can be a dick in his sleep so that’s perfect for executing Strike 1. That’s all it really needs, someone dick enough to do it.   Our Man Moxley doesn’t have any crossover business with MJF or Don Callis at the moment but that could easily change in the months to come. There’s not much going on at the start so, I can promise a relatively short post but I will say that the future, in general, is looking quite promising. Wrestling seems to be in the process of evolving and I welcome this manifestation. There’s life in the industry yet. Let us observe. Last week’s Collision , had some tidbits for the Future as the Riders of Death were in action. What caught my eye was the promo Our Man Moxley cut on the Bang Bang Gang.
