SmackDown Sets the Final Pieces for MITB...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Money in the Bank Eve. Well, there are a few interesting unverified reports floating around but since they’re more or less just rumor, I’m not sure I’ll comment but we have some things to chat about. Ready to get in to it? Let’s. In the Realm of AEW, they are testing their fans' level of interest as they’re having their Fyter Fest and blessing fans with 4 hours of content on Wednesday nights. We got Part 1 this week and I believe Part 2 is set for next week. I kept my ears open to any good matches to take a look at but to check on the progress of the Future, I had to see how Jon Moxley and his Riders of Death are doing.  I took a look at Mox’s match with Mark Briscoe and I have to say it’s the first time I’ve seen Briscoe’s work up front. He’s a scrappy chap. Briscoe wore the blood this time around and Mox seemed to encourage it even “sup” upon it. Disgusting . 😉 He could be said to be egging on anyone who doesn’t like it and that should b...

SmackDown Takes Instruction on Finishing Touches for Money in the Bank...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s another hot one in Southern California. Today is supposed to be the worst of it but we’ll see if this is a precursor to how the summer is going to be. As for the Wrestling World, we have some things to chat about. Probably more thought provoking than most times so, let’s not take any more time. Let’s get into it. In the Realm of AEW, the Fallout of their Double or Nothing PPV showed Jon Moxley and the Death Riders or the “Riders of Death” as I might start to call them, confidently dispatch of the rag-tag teaming of Mike “Speedball” Bailey, Mark Briscoe and Willow Nightingale. Guess the Young Bucks eating the thumbtack sneaker stomp means the loss just rolls off their backs. They resumed wreaking havoc as if nothing happened. I liked how Nightingale wasn’t taking any guff out there, though 😉 I don’t mind this, but I do hope it leads to the next chapter of rivals getting their panties in a bunch. Mox seems to be ever so subtly egging them on so, someone...

SmackDown Acknowledges the Assignment - Money in the Bank...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Ready to enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend, if that’s your lot? I’m prepping to make the most of it. May those who don’t apply find rest and entertainment. As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things going on. I’ll only talk about some of them so, let’s get into it. Then we can all get on with our lives. In the Realm of AEW, things appear to be moving along nicely. I took a look at how the Death Riders are progressing and this week’s mayhem seemed very focused. I saw a lot of good execution and teamwork all around, Faces included. Everyone seemed keen on performing well and putting on a good show. Hard to knock it. Never a bad thing when concerning the Future. The pleasant surprise for me, however, was discovering that Gabe Kidd is like a complete “hooligan”. This kid would have been striding with the crew down Green Street, if you get my drift. He may be too young to get the reference but that’s the vibe, perfect for a young cohort of Moxley’s. N...

SmackDown Doesn't Ask Questions. BackLash It Is...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts. Happy Friday! Well, there isn’t that much going on that I feel is discussion worthy but we should have enough to get the gist of what’s basically going on in the Wrestling World. Up for a brief chat? Let’s do it. We’ll just take a quick stop in the Realm of AEW as Samoa Joe has basically taken it upon himself to solve the Jon Moxley problem. It seems to be effective so far, so that’s promising. The Future appears to be beginning to take shape so, we’ll let whatever comes may ‘cause it’s gonna be a bit before things get really interesting. Might as well let others get some action in the meantime. It all has to properly build. As they were. In the WWE Universe, there’s some administrative business in motion as the periodic cuts affected staff this time around and the talent cuts just dropped. Those of note are Braun Strowman (again), Shayna Baszler and Dakota Kai. These aren't exactly shockers but still a little unfortunate. Strowman seemed to be improvin...

WrestleMania 41 - SmackDown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! Well, there isn’t a great deal going on in the Wrestling World this week, but there’s enough to chat about. You up for it? Let’s get to it. We’ll take a brief stop in the Realm of AEW as the rapper, Master P, stopped by to issue Jon Moxley some “love taps” while Samoa Joe proceeded to proclaim his new focus on claiming the Title. Swerve Strickland was close by as well. Is this the end of the Death Riders? To be honest, it looks like it’s just “the beginning”. There must be ups and downs to make this all compelling. This is all to rev up what’s next or at least, it should be. So far, a 6.5 isn’t looking too bad on Mox and that’s good. He’s going to have to hover here for a while but I doubt it will be boring. Let it all cook, as the kids say 😉 In the Land of Free Agency, more or less, Bishop Dyer fka Baron Corbin has some choice words for WWE Brass for switching out Bayley for WrestleMania. I could sympathize because Bayley is solid and deserv...

SmackDown Meets RAW at the Finish Line to WrestleMania...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! It is another WrestleMania Eve and we are all gathered to see how tonight’s SmackDown kicks everything off. It will be a full weekend of wrestling and I just gathered the final provisions for holing myself up for it all. I’m going to be well-fed and comfortable. How about you 😉 As for the Wrestling World, I think you’d say we have at least a couple things to talk about. Let’s break them down a bit, shall we?  First, we’ll check in with the Realm of AEW as the Championship has finally been taken from Jon Moxley. Samoa Joe was able to put him down and change the script for the time being. Personally, I thought it all kinda happened “easily” so, I’m not sure if that was just to sell the story or if it’s “ulterior motive” on Mox’s part but this is the ebb and flow that has to happen. Too much of the same gets boring and Mox should understand the theory of when to let “good prevail” in these sorts of scenarios. That’s how we all got here in the first place...

SmackDown Sees If It Can Keep Up on the Way to the Royal Rumble...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying 2025 so far? It’s shaping up to be interesting. As for the Wrestling World, there’s definitely some buzz about. So, let’s not waste any time and get into it.   We’ll just take a quick stop over in the Realm of AEW since Jon Moxley had a Championship match in his hometown against Powerhouse Hobbs. To be honest, aside from the lost earring, it wasn’t a bad match. It was better than I was expecting anyway. Always thought the earring may factor someday, though. Just a little too 90s for the 21st century 😉 Don’t blame Hobbs for ripping it out. But of course, that leads to blood and Mox sported red for the rest of the match.   The Death Riders also played their part by nipping away at Hobbs any time the referee’s back was turned. But to the side of that I wonder…Does PAC ever get cold? He’s always out there wet and naked. It’s a wonder he doesn’t get sick. I think he’s the “craziest” one of them all, if you ask me. He should...

SmackDown Welcomes 2025 with 3 Hours...

Happy New Year, Enthusiasts!   Ready for a new year in the Wrestling World? I wouldn’t say it’s my life but it’s definitely an important pastime for me. 2025 is a 9 Year for you numerologists out there so, this should be a year of completion for a few things. As you can see, RAW will be on Netflix this year, officially making it a part of the modern era and tonight SmackDown will commemorate being 3 hours for the foreseeable future. And so, minor but as you can see, it more or less illustrates my point. Things won’t be the same in some areas this year. We’ll see how that plays out overall.   As for tonight’s post, we’ll start over in the Realm of AEW. With Adam Copeland/Uncle Edge back in the mix, I feel that things can be left to him to steer for a little while, especially since he can tout an Emmy Nomination at present. Something that this sort never seriously hope to achieve so, there’s some clout for everyone to chew on. With his insight at their disposal the Deat...

SmackDown Helps Us Prep for New Year's....

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Hope your Christmas went well if you celebrate. For all others, a Happy New Year to you. I hope you’re enjoying Winter or Summer if you're in the Southern Hemisphere. I’ve been light on the Wrestling World due to all the festivities and family bonding. Yet, there are a couple things we can chat about. Are you up for it? Let’s get into it. So, WWE Management is supposedly kicking around some ideas for matches for John Cena and Logan Paul came up as a possible opponent. Word is that no one likes the idea of this at WrestleMania ‘cause that’s a sucky way to go out. Personally, I don’t mind the idea of Cena vs. Paul but it doesn’t need to be at Mania. It doesn’t even have to be on a PPV. I would be fine with it at a Fallout show. And I’d like to see Cena get the best of him but due to being a seasoned veteran. Not because of any physical prowess or what have you. He should just “out wrestle” Paul. Paul can talk his shit and all that. Lean on Cena being ol...
