SmackDown Clears the Way for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Friday? Getting used to the time change, if it applies? Can’t say this is the most exciting end of the week but some beneficial changes are pending on the horizon for me so, can’t really complain.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things going on but we’ll only touch on one issue because I keep seeing it pop up but besides that, it should be a short post. So, without further ado, let’s get to it.   As many of you may have already heard, Ridge Holland now going by his real name, Luke Menzies, has got himself fired from WWE. Word is that he bad-mouthed them on social media and the response was to be expected. Unfortunately for him, the timing couldn’t be worse. On top of that, he suffered an injury working a TNA show and may have to get neck fusion surgery. Worst case, the man is out of action for about 2 years with a family to feed and house.   The dire circumstances have forced Menzies to resort...

SmackDown Mixes Business with Pleasure Before the Big Night...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday and Halloween! Well, there still isn’t much going on in the Wrestling World so this should be another short post. Besides, I’m sure many of you have plans so I won’t keep you. Let’s just get to the chat.   So, I checked in on the Realm of AEW to see how the Future was progressing and it appears someone over there agrees with my take on Darby Allin. He was a lot more “forceful” on Dynamite this week. He was taking it to people and using chairs and whatnot to put a dent in ‘em. That’s what I’m talking about πŸ˜‰ He’s gotta do something to stay afloat out there. I don’t mind him making it clear he means business. To tailor a Shakespeare quote, “Be he but little, he is fierce!”. I’m down.   It also appears that the Road to the Future is also getting paved as The Riders of Death appear to be branching out. I saw that Marina Shafir is set to partner up with the imposing Megan Bayne. With the headdress gear Bayne has been s...

SmackDown Helps Wrap Up October...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s another Friday and I hope it’s a good one for you. There’s not much to report in the Wrestling World and it’s pretty quiet in the WWE Universe so, it should be a short post for the most part but there is some Fallout in the Realm of AEW so, we’ll talk a little about that but that’s about it. Ready to hash it out? Let’s go.   It was business as usual in the Realm of AEW for as much as I could tell. Darby Allin appears emboldened having won the “I Quit” Match and Jon Moxley, well…there appears to be some “regrets”. This disappointment seemed to spill out during his match with Kyle O’Reilly. Having shown that he is human, O’Reilly was not intimidated and was able to lock Moxley up enough to make him feel the only recourse was to take out the referee rather than tap. The brazen act caused the benches to clear and to me, that was the first clear indication of what is to come. My friends, the Future has Begun.   Expect things to r...

Crown Jewel-Perth ─ SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? A happy Friday to you. Well, there are a couple things we can chat about today but overall, not much has grabbed my attention. That should make for a short post, but we’ll see. Ready to break the tidbits down? Let’s get to it. Over in the Realm of AEW it does appear that we are getting some foreshadowing for the Future. I have to say that I was kinda proud of the vignette between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley. They’ve come such a long way and the potential for the Future seems confirmed. It’s quite exciting. On top of that, Allin has plenty to contemplate when going into an “I Quit” Match with Mox, especially if he’s beat to hell before the thing even starts.  All I’ll say is remember what didn’t work. I can appreciate giving this feud some gravitas but ultimately, we as spectators want to have fun. It’s hard to enjoy the thing when it just looks like Allin is getting picked on. Go too far and people’s morals get challenged. That’s why I don’t care for Dea...

SmackDown Makes Itself Comfortable in Perth...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Friday? I have definitely had worse ones. So, there are a few things I can chat about in the Wrestling World. There are some rumors floating around but I’ll be focusing more on observations. Are you up for it? Let’s find out.   We’ll start off in the Realm of AEW as they are preparing for the Future. I like what I’m seeing to be honest. I checked out what those Riders of Death are up to and Darby Allin as well. Allin appears to have been given the nod to usher in the Future and I’m all for it. He may be 45lbs. but he gets it.   He’s ready for this “I Quit” Match with Jon Moxley and will set the whole place on fire if he has to. Well, that’s the only thing Mox understands.   I hope they continue to have fun, just mind the limits. This can touch on the humorous but not the ridiculous. It’s a fine line, I know but things have to always go “kayfabe too far”. Remember what got me bitching in the first place. No one ...

SmackDown Picks Up a Few Final Things Before Heading to Australia...

How’s It’ Going, Enthusiasts? Enjoying your Friday? Can’t say I can complain that much. Looking forward to sleeping in πŸ˜‰ But before we get to that, let’s chat a bit about this here “wrassling”. There’s not much going on but that hasn’t stopped me before. Let’s just do a brief stop in the Realm of AEW. The path to the Future appears to be in the process of being paved so, I’ll let that asphalt dry. In the meantime, it looks like WWE doesn’t care where Andrade goes next as he turned up back in AEW.  The general sentiment is that Andrade is just going where the wind blows but ideally he’d prefer to head back to WWE yet, given how the word going around that he was more or less let go, I’m not sure how feasible that is. He’s a good performer. No doubt he’s talented but alas, the WWE Universe just doesn’t seem to care. It happens. It’s a popularity contest in the end and Andrade just wasn’t that popular. Not sure that’s gonna change back at AEW but he should be more generally appreciate...

WrestlePalooza I - SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! It’s another Happy Friday. How’s everyone doing? Well, it’s something else to be an American right now but there are some little glimmers of hope as we seem to be mostly agreed on preserving the right of Free Speech. So, I guess it’s not all bad.  As for the Wrestling World, there are few things going on. Nothing shocking, just your general rumblings but I’ve got a few things to chat about. Are you up for it? Let’s get started. So, we’ll take a brief stop in the Realm of AEW as they had their Fallout for their All Out PPV on this week’s Dynamite. I just checked in to get an update on the Future and what I saw simply reminded me of Young Frankenstein. It wasn’t bad but I am teasing a little as many may know, Darby Allin understands that Jon Moxley only understands pain and the “extreme” so he set him on fire for like 3 seconds at All Out. At the end of Dynamite , Allin came out with a flamethrower and kept Moxley and his Riders of Death on the de...

SmackDown Has a Tough Job Ahead of WrestlePalooza...

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! And I suppose, Happy WrestlePalooza Eve but with all the recent happenings in the media, it’s hard to say how this will go. There’s some very compelling things going on in the U.S. right now and they may inadvertently affect the show. Shall we discuss? Here we go.   So, I wasn’t trying to get into the Charlie Kirk matter but with the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel and his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live which airs on ABC and is owned by Disney, I feel I should say something. Given that what Kimmel said was mild if only a little too soon maybe, I don’t feel he should have been pulled. If the Conservative Right is going to purport this sense of “Americanism”, they can’t trounce upon the concept of free speech. That’s the main reason why Kirk shouldn’t have been killed. The man was the epitome of ignorance but I’ll defend to the end his or anyone’s right to say what they want to say, even if it is completely idiotic.   There’s a ...

SmackDown Accepts that WrestlePalooza Is the Next Destination...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! I’ll let you in on a little secret. This may be one of the last ones I have as a “typical civilian”. My luck seems to be on the upswing but I’ll keep it to that until what’s going to be done, is in fact done. But I’ll just say I’m looking forward to living a less “encumbered” lifestyle. As for the Wrestling World there is at least 1 thing to talk about but I would like to swing by the Realm of AEW first. Shall we get into it? Allow me. Well, it looks like that new kid, Daniel Garcia is continuing to “make mistakes” as he broke and sided with Jon Moxley and his Riders of Death. The scrappy Darby Allin had to take a post match beating to confirm it. Yet, what I like most about this week’s showing is how people are responding to Mox in catering. Getting the hell out of there when he’s a coming is great for the Future. I envision a few instances when people get out of Dodge when they see him marching through. That’s why it all “falls apart” as it ...

Clash in Paris 2025 - Smackdown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! So, the Wrestling World has a few things going on. Many of us are “getting our arms twisted” with having to pick up the ESPN app. I’ll probably breakdown next week but I got to see where I can streamline first. Probably going to let Peacock go but we’ll see if it can be saved. It does have some decent content outside of WWE. Yet, I digress. Let’s get into this week’s action. In the Realm of AEW all seems to be going nicely as Darby Allin appears to have put all 45 pounds of himself into becoming a one man wrecking machine against the Riders of Death. He dragged off “The Hooligan”, Gabe Kidd in a body bag hitched to the back of a truck so he means to make an example of anyone he can get his hands on. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley has his eye on recruiting the “naive” Daniel Garcia. Not sure he’s the type to break but stranger things have happened. All in all, this is great for the Future because currently no one has eyes on it which is absolutely perfe...

SmackDown Visits Lyon Before Going to Clash in Paris...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Well, there are some things to talk about but we’ll only focus on a few. I think you probably have an inkling so, why delay. Let’s hop right in. Out in the wilds of the Indies, that incident with Raja Jackson appears to be realer than many may have thought. It got general news traction so something wasn’t right. Apparently, there was some sort of “interaction” backstage that may have led to Jackson going as far as he did. That doesn’t condone the action but it explains what we saw.  Personally, I think this might have been a publicity stunt gone wrong. Jackson being the son of a decorated UFC fighter, I can see why they’d want to display him as “no joke” but the takedown wasn’t done properly and whatever buzz they tried to get going, turned into outrage. That’s where the kid being green comes into play, I would say. Regardless, it forces Rikishi to reevaluate how to move forward. You live and learn, no matter your age. Regarding the Realm of AEW, I went...
