SummerSlam 2025 - SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s a mixed bag of a week, isn’t it? Some stuff to consider generally speaking. The Wrestling World is more or less quiet but there are some changes coming down the pike that will certainly force us to think about what’s worth spending money on. We’ll get in to that in a little bit but let’s have our little chat. We’ll make a stop in the Realm of AEW as we didn’t so much get glances at the Future but we did see how the present is moving along. The Riders of Death are still messing with people. Mike “Speedball” Bailey had to do what he had to, to survive against Jon Moxley and though he took the L, he was impressive. He’s got Babyface written all over him so I didn’t mind the uphill battle he tried to climb. It wasn’t exactly fair but we all know it’s not gonna be. That’s why Darby Allin had to throw some action in. That kid has been growing on me and his latest stunt continues to lead me to give him consideration. He “kidnapped” an interfering Wheeler Yuta...

SmackDown Adds a Little Gasoline to the Fire for SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy SummerSlam’s Eve. Well, there are things going on but my eye was only draw to a couple things. Some of which weren’t even intentional but since this will probably be a short post, I’ll touch on them. Let’s see what’s going on in the Wrestling World. First, just a quick stop in the Realm of AEW as I noticed some things this week. I checked out a bit of Dynamite expecting to see the Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page rematch but it looks like that opened so, I saw Hangman cut a promo instead and I have to say I didn’t realize how much his cadence is similar to Sami Zayn’s. He’s like AEW’s cowboy version. Kinda cracked me up. I also feel I ought to give some due to “dat boy” Mark Briscoe ‘cause I didn’t know he could dance so well. I saw him keep up with Ricochet, so I understand why they almost closed. That was some solid action. Good on him. He still looks like he’s short on a few vaccinations but what are you gonna do with a boy like dat πŸ˜‰ Good work, gentl...

SmackDown Says Goodbye and Then It's Back to SummerSlam

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Well, you know what the big news is. This was a sad week for the Entertainment World in general. They say celebrity deaths happen in 3s and this time around we had Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan. It’s an odd assortment that conjures all sorts of feelings.   Many of us grew up watching Warner on The Cosby Show . Bill Cosby’s tarnished reputation aside, many of us can’t say he wasn’t a familiar face. I was young during the series so I was often called my family’s Rudy. I wasn’t aware of his more current projects but it was sad to hear he passed. He was relatively young.   Osbourne always held my imagination as I was a rocker growing up and you had to know who Black Sabbath and/or Ozzy Osbourne was in order to talk the shop. He was always fun to parody and came across like a kooky uncle to me. He will certainly be missed.   As for Hulk Hogan, well, we all know he shot himself in the foot a few years ago ...

SmackDown Shows It Got the Memo on SummerSlam....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s a hot one in Southern California. No doubt it’s summer. Not complaining as it usually allows me to shed a few unintended pounds. When it comes to the Wrestling World there are things going on. AEW has its All-In PPV coming up and WWE is starting to turn up the heat for Summer Slam. There isn’t a lot for me to comment on but I got a few things. Ready for it? Here it goes. So, I had to stop by the Realm of AEW to check in on the progress of The Future and it appears to be going well. Hangman Page is doing a good job of keeping the focus in the ring and building up the anticipation for this Texas Death Match with Jon Moxley. Moxley did his talking and changed the script at the end of the main event of this week’s Dynamite . The Riders of Death joined forces with the Young Bucks and the Hooligan, Gabe Kidd and looked as if they would try to “kill” Page before the match even happened but then Swerve Strickland entered the chat. Those who know, know that Pag...

Night of Champions 2025 - SmackDown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans. Yeah, it’s a bit of a mixed bag right now but I’ve always been in favor of the concept of this nation even though execution has always had much to be desired. Regardless, it affords me a day off and some time to relax and get acclimated to my new/temporary surroundings.   As for the Wrestling World, there’s not that much going on for me to get interested in. There’s always plenty but you know me. I’m only interested in so much. I did, however get a bit caught up with some of the goings-on in the Realm of AEW.   You may have realized that I’m only concerned with the Future and at present, that involves Adam “the Hangman” Page. This mustachioed hero isn’t having any of Jon Moxley or his Riders of Death, even if they’re lady-folk. The “shocker” was him taking out Marina Shafir this past Wednesday and it’s hard to say she didn’t have it coming. She did slap him a bunch of times πŸ˜‰ Mox, ...

SmackDown Sets the Final Pieces for MITB...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Money in the Bank Eve. Well, there are a few interesting unverified reports floating around but since they’re more or less just rumor, I’m not sure I’ll comment but we have some things to chat about. Ready to get in to it? Let’s. In the Realm of AEW, they are testing their fans' level of interest as they’re having their Fyter Fest and blessing fans with 4 hours of content on Wednesday nights. We got Part 1 this week and I believe Part 2 is set for next week. I kept my ears open to any good matches to take a look at but to check on the progress of the Future, I had to see how Jon Moxley and his Riders of Death are doing.  I took a look at Mox’s match with Mark Briscoe and I have to say it’s the first time I’ve seen Briscoe’s work up front. He’s a scrappy chap. Briscoe wore the blood this time around and Mox seemed to encourage it even “sup” upon it. Disgusting . πŸ˜‰ He could be said to be egging on anyone who doesn’t like it and that should b...

SmackDown Takes Instruction on Finishing Touches for Money in the Bank...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s another hot one in Southern California. Today is supposed to be the worst of it but we’ll see if this is a precursor to how the summer is going to be. As for the Wrestling World, we have some things to chat about. Probably more thought provoking than most times so, let’s not take any more time. Let’s get into it. In the Realm of AEW, the Fallout of their Double or Nothing PPV showed Jon Moxley and the Death Riders or the “Riders of Death” as I might start to call them, confidently dispatch of the rag-tag teaming of Mike “Speedball” Bailey, Mark Briscoe and Willow Nightingale. Guess the Young Bucks eating the thumbtack sneaker stomp means the loss just rolls off their backs. They resumed wreaking havoc as if nothing happened. I liked how Nightingale wasn’t taking any guff out there, though πŸ˜‰ I don’t mind this, but I do hope it leads to the next chapter of rivals getting their panties in a bunch. Mox seems to be ever so subtly egging them on so, someone...

SmackDown Acknowledges the Assignment - Money in the Bank...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Ready to enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend, if that’s your lot? I’m prepping to make the most of it. May those who don’t apply find rest and entertainment. As for the Wrestling World, there are a few things going on. I’ll only talk about some of them so, let’s get into it. Then we can all get on with our lives. In the Realm of AEW, things appear to be moving along nicely. I took a look at how the Death Riders are progressing and this week’s mayhem seemed very focused. I saw a lot of good execution and teamwork all around, Faces included. Everyone seemed keen on performing well and putting on a good show. Hard to knock it. Never a bad thing when concerning the Future. The pleasant surprise for me, however, was discovering that Gabe Kidd is like a complete “hooligan”. This kid would have been striding with the crew down Green Street, if you get my drift. He may be too young to get the reference but that’s the vibe, perfect for a young cohort of Moxley’s. N...

SmackDown Doesn't Ask Questions. BackLash It Is...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts. Happy Friday! Well, there isn’t that much going on that I feel is discussion worthy but we should have enough to get the gist of what’s basically going on in the Wrestling World. Up for a brief chat? Let’s do it. We’ll just take a quick stop in the Realm of AEW as Samoa Joe has basically taken it upon himself to solve the Jon Moxley problem. It seems to be effective so far, so that’s promising. The Future appears to be beginning to take shape so, we’ll let whatever comes may ‘cause it’s gonna be a bit before things get really interesting. Might as well let others get some action in the meantime. It all has to properly build. As they were. In the WWE Universe, there’s some administrative business in motion as the periodic cuts affected staff this time around and the talent cuts just dropped. Those of note are Braun Strowman (again), Shayna Baszler and Dakota Kai. These aren't exactly shockers but still a little unfortunate. Strowman seemed to be improvin...
