The Final Laps to WrestleMania Begin....

Image
Welcome to Monday, Enthusiasts.   There’s nothing too special about it. Just trying a new greeting. So, there’s some chatter floating around. Why don’t we add some more to it.   To start, my suspicions have been confirmed as news drops that Charly Caruso got herself a full-time job with ESPN. People tend to start giving a fuck when they have greener pastures to go to. She let the secret slip with her behavior. All I can say about that is let’s hope this doesn’t color her new position. The behavior, if that’s what happened, indicates a flighty personality. Could be viewed as immature which doesn’t tend to bode well with a professional reputation yet, she went from fake sports to real sports so, I can see how she could simply give a fuck. She’s got a real job now. Good for her.   Elsewhere, Aleister Black has posted a cryptic post on Instagram. Speculations abound about what it could mean. I just hope that he stays with WWE. Andrade I won’t miss but Black I still feel would be a shame. T

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   It’s been a while since it’s actually felt like one so, this is nice. Hope it’s treating you well too. So, there is some movement in the wrestling world. Shall we take a look? No rush 😉   So, Andrade is free and shopping around it seems. He’s certainly floating through my Twitter feed. I don’t have anything against him so, I hope he finds what he’s looking for. On a side note, word is Thea Trinidad f.k.a. Zelina Vega has made a short term deal somewhere. Yet, with whom and in what capacity has yet to be seen. Thankfully, in many cases there is a life after WWE. And who knows, they may come back someday. That “door” is certainly a revolving one.   For those of you planning your Peacock acquisition, NBC appears to be removing unsavory content from the WWE libraries. The best thing about that is you know a few people have steady jobs for a while. There’s a lot to be desired in WWE history. I’m not surprised NBC is trying to give it a polish. They

Fastlane Is on the Books, Now...WrestleMania...

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts.   So, who watched Fastlane? It wasn’t all bad but some it definitely left something to be desired. General consensus puts Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns as match of the night with Edge taking the heel turn. Drew McIntyre and Sheamus get second place. It would have been my first if Sheamus got the win but hopefully he gets his due come Summer Slam.   The Fiend fans loved his return but you know me, Enthusiasts. My eyes rolled far back into my head. I’m never going to like this angle. And I’m being consistent because I never cared for The Undertaker’s spiel either. I’ll accept the outlandish when it’s properly established and The Fiend is just not. I’m not that big of a horror fan so I’ll always say let Wyatt draft the 90 min. script and have done. Randy Orton gets points for being a trooper. He’s making gallons of lemonade with this shit.   As for the match of the night, I agree with what the WWE Universe is saying for the most part.   I lik

Happy Sunday, Enthusiasts!   May your Fastlane be merry and bright. So, this PPV may be more interesting than I thought. SmackDown had some twists and turns that I didn’t think it had in it so, that was promising. This may not be one of the best WrestleMania seasons but it is proving to be more compelling than usual.   That being said, I will stick to my usual PPV format by just commenting on the matches I find the most engaging. We’ll see who surprises later on tonight.   So, the first match I think may suddenly change people’s minds is Apollo Crews vs. Big E. I wasn’t sure what to think with Crews doing the Wakanda thing but after last night, it could be an intelligent strategy if carried out correctly. What I would do with it, is in the event Crews won, he’d drop the accent to prove that it was all an act just to trigger Big E. E, a known “Florida Man” did as they do and imploded on SmackDown . He destroyed Crews, of course but that could be the point. Florida Men often

How Are You Doing, Enthusiasts?   Glad the week’s is done? Yeah, me too. So, what’s going on in the wrestling world? Well, the biggest news appears to be Charly Caruso peace-ing out. Whether this is voluntary or not seems to be the real point of contention. Rumors are saying that she had been late to perform some roster interviews and just generally not the most professional recently. Well, that sounds like she got another gig to me but who knows. As we can see, WWE has already moved on with her replacement in Kevin Patrick so, I suppose that’s that.   Another interesting bit of news is how Kevin Owens isn’t feeling too confident about a having a place in WrestleMania this year. Well, he can’t fully complain because he got plenty of action in December which a lot of the roster, I’m sure, would have gladly taken. This is why WWE needs to focus on developing the WWE Universe. There’s no reason the likes of Kevin Owens should be sitting on the sidelines. What’s the point of the Cr

A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts.   Does it find you well? Give yourself some slack, daylight savings time and all. So, what’s going on in the wrestling world? Not that much, or rather no more than the usual but a few things stick out.   First, it appears The Miz is making a bid to be taken more seriously. There are photos of him looking leaner and meaner than usual circulating. I suppose he didn’t like how people reacted to him wearing the title. Well, working out is one thing, gaining skill is another. Though he is fine on the mic, most would say his wrestling is mediocre at best. He knows how to do what he does, I won’t challenge that but I can’t say I’ve ever been amazed by his matches. Let’s take John Morrison in comparison. Though he goes for the flash, he has demonstrated that he can have an engaging match. Coupled with the acrobatics, if you had to choose, it’s Morrison every time. So, if you ask me, getting jacked isn’t the key to The Miz’s success. Coming up with som

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   Are you doing well? I do hope so. Well, let’s get the less pleasant business out of the way first. Let’s give solemn and sincere condolences to Becky Lynch as word is her father passed this week. I wouldn’t be surprised if that means we don’t see Seth Rollins tonight, which is fine. He probably now knows more than ever that family is far more important. Let us offer our loving thoughts and prayers.   As for the wrestling world, well there’s word that Andrade requested his release. Now, that’s not really surprising. Now that we have a better understanding of why WWE does what it does, wth no Zelina Vega there’s literally no one in his corner, except maybe Charlotte but that doesn’t appear to be enough. From what I heard, the key was for him to learn how to speak better English and then they’d see where they could go from there. Either his English hasn’t improved or like with so many others, they simply don’t know what to do with him. And with Santos

Happy Monday, Enthusiasts!   I hope it finds you well. So, after I posted last Friday I saw an article saying that Christian’s contract negotiations fell through. If I had seen that beforehand, I would have circled Christian as my choice for the new AEW, potential WWE “Hall of Famer”. Now, I don’t know about this move for Christian. Not that I have anything against him but I don’t know what AEW plans to do with him. At least with WWE, you play out the story with Edge but in AEW is he just another jaded, former WWE superstar looking for the proverbial “Brass Ring” to chase? If you ask me, no matter how you cut it, Christian ends up in the same place, doing short spots in the mid-card time slot. They say he’s going to come through and be the hardest worker but will that actually happen? For guys like Big Show, I get it. WWE is played out for them. They’ve done it all. Worn just about every hat. They might as well try AEW on for size. Christian has the case that he still has some thin

Good Friday to You, Enthusiasts!   I hope this week treated you well.   So, the big news going around is who is AEW’s big acquisition? They’re saying it’s a doozy. So, who could it be? Well, from what I’m hearing we’re better off crossing off who it isn’t. CM Punk denies it. Batista says he’s got better things to do. Christian is contracted up with WWE and I doubt they could pay Brock Lesnar enough to make it worth his while. The way they’re going at it, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s someone like Shawn Michaels. I say that because the older wrestlers are getting a resurgence for whatever reason. Sting is already playing out his twilight years. Tully Blanchard got his old ass back in the ring. I doubt WWE has anything for Michaels and if he’s just sitting at home, antsy, why not make some cash with AEW? All I’m saying is that I bet it’s someone no one is really thinking about. I don’t know how much money AEW has to work with.   Besides that, the only bit of news that caught my

Hello Enthusiasts,   How’s everyone doing? Well, I hope. So, here we are in pre-Fastlane and pre-pre-WrestleMania No Man’s Land. Whatever shall fill the void? Other wrestling sites are beginning to catch-wise to WWE’s true failings. They have some mild pressure to come up with something that proves they're just not sitting around twirling pens and tapping laptops, hoping for ideas. Yet this isn’t exactly new so, let’s get into some of the other news floating around.   The biggest bit of news comes from 2 pseudo-infamous, former WWE wrestlers in the forms of Big Cass and Enzo Amore. I don’t know what they’re going by now but the surprise is that Cass is in good shape and looks like he’s ready to rock. The joke going around is that WWE should be around shortly now that he’s big and fit. I wouldn’t exactly expect that, though. Not that it couldn’t happen in the future, I expect that a lot of former WWE wrestlers may return in the near future, it’s just that there’s no place fo
