Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!   This is the most disagreeable heat I have ever experienced in my life to date. Not only is it really hot but even the rain we’re getting isn’t helping. The climate she is a changing. Well, this time around, the wrestling world serves as a welcome distraction. Let’s get into this CM Punk business and put it to bed once and for all.   So, what’s going on with this guy? Is this Punk business a misfired work or proof of the truth that’s always lied beneath? It’s hard to say but the consensus is coming to the conclusion that this was at the very least “premeditated”. From what I’m hearing, Tony Khan knew Punk had some sort of bee in his bonnet just didn’t know how big or what kind.   Let’s break it down into its bare parts. What gets me about the whole thing is the timing of it. CM Punk unloads after their All Out PPV, that he wins. Has a “fight” backstage with people he’s known to “dislike” and then in the melee supposedly suffered an injury that t

Happy Labor Day, Enthusiasts!   Whether you’re in the United States or elsewhere, please enjoy this Monday. So, there are quite few things to talk about in the wrestling world. Let’s not waste any time and get right into it.   To start, Clash at the Castle was had and it was solid fun. Could be considered a bit predictable but not too annoyingly so. To look at it, I would say Triple H was just playing it safe. He’s establishing an attainable precedent to build upon and I would have to say that he has accomplished that. There was nothing really to be ashamed of last Saturday night. Yes, the end was a little corny with Tyson Fury and Drew McIntyre singing but I guess WWE was just trying to ease the pain of McIntyre taking the loss.   As I said last post, Reigns’ story is just more interesting. I don’t think H can do much about the nature of the WWE Universe. It will always be 14 th grade more or less. Though the crowd may be generally older, it doesn’t venture too far away f

Good Morning, Enthusiasts!   It’s probably afternoon or evening for the lot of you but I’m last to the party by default. How’s everyone doing? So, it’s Clash at the Castle and I’m about to have breakfast. That being said, let me just get on with it and breakdown my personal matches of interest. Let’s see what we got here.   First match that has me curious is Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins. This could be potentially very interesting. Mainly because the simmering beef is kinda half real. Rollins doesn’t like Riddle for obvious reasons (sexual assault allegation) and so how much of this is kayfabe is an intriguing question. They’re willing to go there on television but will someone go “too far”? Who knows. That’s what makes it juicy. We’ll see if it turns out to be a good match as well.   Second on the curiosity meter is Shayna Baszler and Liv Morgan. So, isn’t this the night & day match. What’s Going On, Enthusiasts?   Are you in a heatwave? Well, I live by the beach so, I don’t really feel I can complain too much. But it is hot. Summer showing up later and later each year. In any case, there are few tidbits we can talk about in the wrestling world. Let’s get into it, shall we?   So, let’s start in the “American League” with AEW. There’s talk about the roster being a bit disgruntled. There’s been a lot of rumors about tension in the AEW locker room and some of the malcontents are said to be Malakai/Aleister Black and Miro/Rusev. Well, these are just rumors so it’s hard to say how much merit comes with them, but I’ve made it clear that I am all for them to return to the WWE Universe. I can see Black still having a bad taste in his mouth but the truth of it is that WWE has the production values to make his gimmick work. It was working before he left and now that Triple H is in the driver’s seat, he can potentially pick up where he left off. Naturally, there would

  How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Well, there isn’t a whole lot going on at the moment. Kinda vibing more on House of the Dragon at the moment but there’s always time for wrasslin’. Let’s see what’s going on.   The tidbit that did catch my attention comes courtesy of Drew McIntyre. He’s getting quite the push as we approach Clash at the Castle. He “bested” Brock Lesnar could he “best” Roman Reigns? Sure, but will that entertain us? It could and proof comes in McIntyre’s take on Karrion Kross’ current gimmick with the hourglass. McIntyre doesn’t get it. Hourglasses don’t go “Tick-Tock”… so what’s the point? I like the Straight-Man approach. This one just doesn’t get the “joke”. I was a little confused by it too mainly because the WWE Universe tends not to follow pro-wrestling methods.   I understand that Triple H wants to make this more about wrestling but the general appeal of WWE is its general appeal. A Happy Friday to You, Enthusiasts!   Well, AEW has been throwing a bunch of pebbles in the pond and causing all sorts of ripples in the wrestling world. Let’s chat a little bit about it before heading over to the WWE Universe.   So, the big news is that AEW unified their titles and quite quickly under Jon Moxley.   He faced CM Punk in a match that I can basically call a bait and switch. Moxley and Punk were sold as the main event but they actually went on second to last and the match played out as an   injury induced squash. It started off strong and looked to be a good intense one but then Punk got “injured” and Mox took over from there.   Speculations are flying about what this could implicate. Is this the beginning of a Heel Turn for Punk? Was he cleared for competition too soon? Does he plan to return to WWE now that Triple H is in charge? Well, we can safely assume that whatever the plan is, it was decided and is in effect. We could ponder more about what’s going on i

How Goes It, Enthusiasts? Doing well? So, there are a few things going on in the wrestling world but they’re pretty much a holdover from last week. Let’s see if we got any more information to work with.   We left off with the CM Punk question and it continues. Is he really disgruntled or is it just a work to build up a feud with Hangman Page? Can’t say. The talk makes it seem as if it could be either or. Perhaps it started as real beef and mutated into a work. Who knows. I’m not familiar enough with the situation or Page to make a statement. All I can really say is that I’d say it’s a work before anything else.   If Punk understands the concept of Kayfabe, then anything he says on TV would ultimately be a work unless he’s conducting an interview outside of the wrestling world. Kayfabe protects wrestlers if implemented correctly and I would think Punk is savvy enough to keep the truth obscured for his own good. A Good Monday to You, Enthusiasts!   How’s every little thing? Well, there isn’t that much to talk about but there are some things. Enough to have a steady conversation at least so, let’s get into it.   So, let’s start off with some non-WWE but related stuff. There’s a lot of talk about Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose on the Social Media, Twitter to be specific, and the question that’s coming up is why have a lot of fans have decided that they prefer Ambrose over Mox. Some feel it’s because of a bias in favor of WWE but I think it’s more the content. I’ve said that Mox is masochistic. I feel that AEW encourages Mox’s lesser inclinations especially when it comes to the blood and Hardcore stuff.   I don’t like what it implies. I like the action but I don’t need people hurting themselves for my pleasure. I am not sadistic. I just like a rip-roaring good time. Sometimes that means getting rowdy and a little nuts but it shouldn’t be anything a band-aid and/or a cold compress couldn’t fi
