SMACKDOWN, You Say? Why, I Don't Mind If I Do...

Image
How's it hanging, Enthusiasts?  I hope comfortably (^_~) Those of you on the East Coast are loading up on the SmackDown- edness now and I'm sure, for the most part, we'll be entertained.  We'll see if Bad News Barrett truly earned the King of the Ring title or if he just "took" it, so there's that.  The spoilers speak like a decent evening so, I don't expect to feel compelled to throw anything at the TV.  How's about you guys?  Shorter fuse than mine in some respects maybe?  Well, let's try to be proactive and counter with some humor before the blood starts boiling, yes?  Funny tweets get retweeted and will there be a Favorite?  Only the Gods can say.  See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (Apr. 27th, 2015)

With Extreme Rules over, we now are being redirected to focus on the next PPV, Payback.  There, the Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs again and this time around, it’s not so much the stipulations but who’s invited to the party.  Personally, I’ve lost all interest in the titles because, given the nature of the WWE, they are ultimately arbitrary.  Who wins comes down to matters of preference and/or crowd approval.  I’m not saying how a title belt is issued should be completely changed.  Yet, if I were in charge, I would certainly make wrestlers’ records carry more weight when it came to booking matches.  Not that the arbitrary nature of staging the action would be removed but it would be more veiled in “kayfabery” this way, I would think.  Makes it seem half-real.  Yet, that may not be the point.  It’s hard to say if it ever was.  All that I know for sure is that We the Audience will partake of whatever constitutes a good show or time and that is fine by me. EXTREME RULES TO LIVE BY…What Happened Last Night (Apr. 26th, 2015)

How’s it going, Enthusiasts!   Well, didn’t really know what to expect with Extreme Rules and I wasn’t disappointed but, I wasn’t exactly impressed either.   I would say that the content was equal to an evening of RAW and so I’m glad that April was made free for new subscribers so that we generally don’t feel like we want our money back.   To be honest, my guess is that they did this to account for all the patrons like myself who signed up late in March for WrestleMania and the 30-day period included Extreme Rules by default.   If you’re gonna give it away for free, might as well do so on your own terms.   As many of you know, Daniel Bryan has been pulled from action due to injury.   To substitute, Neville got his first PPV shot with a match against Wade “Bad News” Barrett.   This was actually a fun way to start the show.   Barrett comes out and addresses the change of schedule.   Oy! I know you all came here, expecting to see a match against that goat of a wrestler, D

Extreme Rules?! Yeah Well, We'll See...

What's Up, Enthusiasts! So, the question that floats in the air tonight is how the issue of Daniel Bryan currently being injured is going to affect the Intercontinental Championship showdown that was scheduled for tonight.  Word is to have Neville step in and do a Kick-Off match with Wade "Bad News" Barrett during the pre-show.  I feel that's a fair trade.  Neville has been living up to his hype of late.  As for everything else, I kinda agree with the general consensus that Luke Harper vs. Dean Ambrose will probably be the match that steals the show but I'm leaving myself delightfully undecided about the night's proceedings.  I'm gonna allow myself to be surprised.  If it's a good show, it's a good show.  I'll be tweeting along too.  Let's all join in on the fun.  Funny tweets get retweeted and I'll continue to keep and eye out for the 1st Favorite.  Come one, come all (^_~) See You in Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night [Apr. 24th, 2015]

Well, Enthusiasts this week’s SmackDown did a great job of getting back to basics.   When I say that, I mean that it got to the point of why we all come together twice a week, to have fun.   I thought this week’s episode was a great time and I’m glad that they took that route going into Extreme Rules.   Granted, I’m not all that interested in the latest Pay Per View but, I’ll watch it anyway just to see what happens, ‘cause I can at the moment.   Not sure I’ll do Payback the same service but if things proceed as they have, I just might make a habit of this WWE Network subscription. We open in Providence , Rhode Island with Seth Rollins coming out to greet us.   I’m sure everyone loved Randy Orton’s RKO Madness, right!   Rollins begins.   Yeah, that was a lot of fun.   And out of all that, Kane gets to be the GateKeeper and is supposedly lending me a hand because that's what we in The Authority do.   We help each other out when we can.   But Kane needs to understand s
