How’s It Going Enthusiasts?   Hanging in there? It’s all you can do sometimes. Well, there’s not much going on in the Wrestling World but there are a couple things to talk about. Are you ready for it? Let’s get into it.   So, we’ll start in the real world but WWE Universe adjacent as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson suffered a minor blow as his new movie The Smashing Machine isn’t doing too well at the box office. I don’t think this is a surprise as it’s an A24 offering and these are known for their quality as opposed to quantity however, post-COVID that basically translates to “a streamer”.   This is probably not a film you have to see on a big screen. Getting comfortable at home should do just fine and these days, many prefer it.   I have to admit my last trip to the movies was disappointing at best. How’s It’ Going, Enthusiasts? Enjoying your Friday? Can’t say I can complain that much. Looking forward to sleeping in 😉 But before we get to that, let’s chat a bit about this here “wrassling”. There’s not much going on but that hasn’t stopped me before. Let’s just do a brief stop in the Realm of AEW. The path to the Future appears to be in the process of being paved so, I’ll let that asphalt dry. In the meantime, it looks like WWE doesn’t care where Andrade goes next as he turned up back in AEW.  The general sentiment is that Andrade is just going where the wind blows but ideally he’d prefer to head back to WWE yet, given how the word going around that he was more or less let go, I’m not sure how feasible that is. He’s a good performer. No doubt he’s talented but alas, the WWE Universe just doesn’t seem to care. It happens. It’s a popularity contest in the end and Andrade just wasn’t that popular.   How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Glad to see the weekend? I know I am. Well, there are some interesting rumblings going on in the Wrestling World. A couple have my eye particularly so, this shouldn’t be that long of a post but they should be decent talking points. Shall we get into it? Let’s. The first order of business appears to be the rumor of WWE on some sort of quest to end AEW. I keep seeing conversations and posts on the subject and to me, this seems a little ridiculous. If it were 20-25 years ago, no doubt. I wouldn’t be remotely surprised. WWE was more petty and spiteful then. But nowadays, I’m not sure what the point is.  I think we can safely say that WWE “won” whatever battle for supremacy there may have been. Other promotions have come and gone and the smaller ones remain smaller and less popular, AEW included though I appreciate how it has become the alternative. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy SummerSlam’s Eve. Well, there are things going on but my eye was only draw to a couple things. Some of which weren’t even intentional but since this will probably be a short post, I’ll touch on them. Let’s see what’s going on in the Wrestling World. First, just a quick stop in the Realm of AEW as I noticed some things this week. I checked out a bit of Dynamite expecting to see the Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page rematch but it looks like that opened so, I saw Hangman cut a promo instead and I have to say I didn’t realize how much his cadence is similar to Sami Zayn’s. He’s like AEW’s cowboy version. Kinda cracked me up. I also feel I ought to give some due to “dat boy” Mark Briscoe ‘cause I didn’t know he could dance so well. I saw him keep up with Ricochet, so I understand why they almost closed. That was some solid action. Good on him. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Well, you know what the big news is. This was a sad week for the Entertainment World in general. They say celebrity deaths happen in 3s and this time around we had Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan. It’s an odd assortment that conjures all sorts of feelings.   Many of us grew up watching Warner on The Cosby Show . Bill Cosby’s tarnished reputation aside, many of us can’t say he wasn’t a familiar face. I was young during the series so I was often called my family’s Rudy. I wasn’t aware of his more current projects but it was sad to hear he passed. He was relatively young.   Osbourne always held my imagination as I was a rocker growing up and you had to know who Black Sabbath and/or Ozzy Osbourne was in order to talk the shop. He was always fun to parody and came across like a kooky uncle to me. He will certainly be missed.   As for Hulk Hogan, well, we all know he shot himself in the foot a few years ago ...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   It’s a bit uneasy for us Americans as we all are aware of the conflict in Iran. Word is that Qatari airspace is “closed” at the moment and Qatar shares a border with Saudi Arabia and so, there’s some trickle-down effect circling Night of Champions. Will it still go on? So far, it’s looking like it but a lot of people are wondering if this will be at the cost of civilian life. The situation isn’t ideal but word is that a ceasefire has been issued between Iran and Israel so we’ll see if they’ll honor it.   As of now, plans appear to be holding but if they’re going to change, it will have to be decided before Wednesday because that’s what’s supposed to be the talent travel day. It’s a mixed bag within the IWC. Most feel WWE/TKO will push ahead in the name of money but there is a general sentiment that the show should probably be cancelled in light of these tensions and the US’ questionable involvement.   This is not new territory. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Having a decent Monday? Well, mine turned out to be a bit fateful. I’ve been planning a move for a while but it is finally coming to be. Looks like I’ll soon be doing a stint in the Inland Empire then going back to the hometown. 2026 should be an interesting year indeed.   As for the Wrestling World, there are a couple things I’d like to touch on. There’s always stuff going on but not always stuff I’m interested in. Let’s get to it, shall we? I’ll try to be brief.   In the Realm of AEW there appears to be some blurring of the lines in effect as word is a crew member filed “assault” charges on Jon Moxley and AEW. What’s being circulated is suspect ‘cause it names “Moxley” as opposed to the government name so, I’m thinking this is a work but I’m not mad at it. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Happy Friday! It’s been an okay one for me so far. Nothing worth complaining about. As usual, there could be worse things. As for the Wrestling World, there’s always something going on but I’m only interested in a few things. Let’s have a quick chat, shall we? Here we go.   There’s no real need to stop by the Realm of AEW as Uncle Edge appears to have things under control. The back and forth between him and the Death Riders is underway and he has enlisted the likes of Willow Nightengale to handle Marina Shafir. This is the sort of thing that has to happen in order to make this all interesting so, I’ll leave them to it.   In the Land of Free Agency, it appears that Aleister/Malakai Black’s return is more or less imminent. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Did you enjoy the Rumble? Well, there were some things to be desired, I’ll admit but it was a good time. I have to say I had fun regardless but, yeah, there’s some things to talk about for sure. Want to get into it? Let's… So, no AJ Lee, no Becky Lynch, no Aleister Black and no Randy Orton; a lot of commenters were hoping for that one. It would seem the WWE Universe got their hopes up a bit for this one but it wasn’t a bad show in my opinion. I would say that the Ladies’ surprises were more interesting than the men’s. They pulled the trigger on Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia so that was lowkey exciting. Alexa Bliss still has her diehard fans but there were a lot of mixed responses to Charlotte Flair winning. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Welcome to a new week. So, there’s quite a bit in motion/going on. I would say it was a successful weekend for WWE and AEW seems 2 making their stuff work. Shall we have a chat about it? Let’s… First up, we’ll stop in the Realm of AEW as we see Jon Moxley and Company “dial it down” a bit and decide to jump/semi-kidnap FTR. See, that’s what I’m talking about. Have some fun. Get crazy! Give us something to watch. Not sure what the endgame is exactly, but at this point, there’s time to flesh it out. I’ll be sure to check out this “epic” Fatal-4-Way getting set-up once it’s filed away. Keep things simple for now and just go out, get nuts and have fun. If it entertains, it entertains. So, there isn’t that much going on in the Wrestling World that’s worth reporting, in my opinion, so this should be a short post but we can have a brief conversation. Ready? Let’s do it. The interesting bit of news that caught my eye was an admission from Trish Stratus of late. She’s apparently a fan of Nia Jax and feels that once she’s “ragdolled” by her, Stratus can retire happily. I don’t see why that can’t happen in the near future.  I know Jax has gotten flack for throwing ladies around but that’s what you bring women like her in for. I never got the hate. To me, the smaller ladies weren’t built for the gig in general. You need some meat on you if you’re going to be taking bumps. If someone got broke there wasn’t enough meat in my opinion. Hey, How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Life treating you all right? It’s a nice afternoon and I’m ready for the evening. Who’s with me? Well, before we get into relaxing for the evening let’s see what’s going on in the Wrestling World. Let’s get this chat over with. So, NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) is going to get some airplay as it has partnered with the CW and will be showing content on their app starting in February. I’ve only heard of them so, it’s nice to see that it can be witnessed somewhere. I may check it out if only out of curiosity. It’s always good to compare and contrast from time to time. There’s always more than one way to do something. Seeing another take only broadens the overall view. Nothing wrong with this.
