SmackDown Does Its Job and Finalizes Le Backlash...

 How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Enjoying this Friday? I was hoping to get something done today but it didn’t happen. That means, next week 😉 In the meantime, we got a few things to chat about. As usual, it’s nothing too shocking but we can get a little convo out of it. You up for it? Let’s do it.

On the outskirts of the Realm of AEW, it appears someone in Ric Flair’s orbit had a little chat with him and Flair has reconsidered his recent actions at Piesano’s and has issued an apology. Footage of the mild altercation circulated and most commenters would say that Flair didn’t come off looking the better man. If anything, the staff at Piesano’s were offered praise for keeping their professional faces on while Flair complained.

I didn’t watch the whole video but without full context, it’s hard to say who’s in the right or wrong. Yet, Flair does appear to be the A-hole this time around. I’m glad he opted to make amends. It’s best to just file this one under “My Mistake”....

In the WWE Universe, we’re getting some time frames for SmackDown on FOX. With RAW going to Netflix and FOX dropping their stake in SmackDown, it needs a new home and it appears it will be returning to USA since it now has a wrestling void. In September of this year, SmackDown will return to the USA Network. USA will air both RAW and SmackDown throughout the end of the year.

I’m still not sure how RAW will work on Netflix. I’m hoping it airs live at 5pm on Mondays, per usual, then is available for replay afterwards. I won’t have to DVR it anymore. We’ll see how it all works out.

As for tonight’s SmackDown, we have more King/Queen of the Ring action. This is going to be a tight show because a lot of matches are scheduled for the evening. Naomi and Nia Jax are set to do battle, as are Angelo Dawkins and Tama Tonga. Piper Niven will help workshop Jade Cargil and Bianca Belair will see what Candace LaRae has got. We’ll also welcome Baron Corbin back to the main roster as he takes on Carmelo Hayes. Randy Orton will keep himself sharp with a little help from AJ Styles. And of course, we’ll hear from Our Man Cody Rhodes fresh off his Title defense. He’ll officially close Le Backlash so that we can fully focus on the King/Queen of the Ring. Shouldn’t take up too much time, though. Gotta keep the show moving.

The Unofficial Watch Party will start at 8pm PDT. Pick your platform and play along if you’re willing and able.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
