Well, SmackDown Is Gonna Smack It Down So Hard...

Image
The floor’s gonna bust into pieces! 😜 A Good Tuesday to you, Enthusiasts! I hope it finds you well.  So, last night’s RAW was solid.   It held my attention, even prompted some genuine laughter yet, the ratings continue to underwhelm.   It’s time, Enthusiasts.   We’ll see how they handle the lead up to Extreme Rules but the content should be decidedly more streamlined than in recent months.   Though many aren’t watching, perhaps we who are can spread the word, like the good ol’days, especially if it’s a real improvement. Anyway, as for tonight, SmackDown now has the job of closing the weekly WWE 2-night affair.   If RAW continues to keep up the pace, SmackDown’s job is to close the week on a high note, to keep us waiting for next Monday.   I think they can do it.   So far for tonight, we have the Bludgeon Brothers making an appearance on MizTV, probably to not talk or simply stare menacingly in regards to their rude attack on Daniel Bryan.   The New Day want to rai

RAW Is Gonna Get So RAW!! It'll Be the RAW-est...

You’ll need ointment for the chafe! 😉 Hello Enthusiasts! How is this summery week finding you?   Well, the WWE Universe is touring the West Coast and RAW is in San Diego tonight.   Though there are no matches advertised, let it be known that this is a very exciting time for the WWE.   Why you say?   Because it’s very clear that an impasse has been reached.   With r atings and ticket sales steadily falling along with no more “Big Stars” to resuscitate for the quick spike of attention make for the inevitable…an overhaul.   Now, I don’t know what form this will take or have any suggestions.   What is clear is that WWE Powers That Be have to buckle down and focus on the content.   We may start to get some good shows, Enthusiasts.   The Breaking Point has arrived!   If they are to survive they’ll have to collectively up their game.   Trust me, Enthusiasts.   You’ve been waiting for this.   What prompts people to action more than necessity?   With fans aging and the newcomers

You Know SmackDown Never Stopped Grinding...

Keeps the ship afloat even when no one’s watching! Good Evening, Enthusiasts! So, the big news that dropped today is Big Cass’ release.   Now, I’ve heard the rumors but them being rumors in an industry drenched in its own concept of Kayfabe, it’s hard to believe anything that you hear and when you do, there’s no guarantee it’s true.   That’s why I’m going to be honest and state that I have no idea what’s going on here.    The best I can gather, just as a spectator, is that Cass just wasn’t landing.   I saw what they were trying to do…he just wasn’t executing well.   He’s an athlete it would seem, not really a “performer” and we all know that in the WWE you need to perform above all else.    It’s too bad but if it wasn’t working out, it wasn’t working out.   Looks like there’s an opening for a 7-footer on the roster if you know of anyone. As for tonight, SmackDown doesn’t have to do much clean-up but it appears that it wouldn’t be appreciated at present.   Ratings have been

Money's In the Bank. Now, It's Back to Getting RAW...

Image
How Goes It, Enthusiasts? Did you like Money in the Bank?   Well, there have been better PPVs but I would say it went off cleanly.   Didn’t see Alexa Bliss cashing in night of but I have to say it worked.   Kudos to Nia Jax as well because she sold the shit out of her role.   I especially liked how she was cussing Bliss out after the cash in.     That’s how it’s done, people!   You gotta lie to us.   She threw Ronda Rousey around and Rousey, did her best to make it look like a real-ass fight!    I’m sure it wasn’t too hard, just default to any match she’s had.   It was fun!   I would say the only downside is no guess work.   Part of the fun of MITB is wondering when someone’s gonna drop it.   The ladies are out of the fun until next year.   We’ll have to see what the Braun Strowman does with it. Speculation is naturally focused on Brock Lesnar but personally…I’m not sure if that match ever happens.   I know Lesnar does what he’s paid to do but I feel that Strowman isn’t “big”

Who Wants It! Money in the Bank, Up for Grabs!...

Greetings, Enthusiasts & a Merry Money in the Bank, Yes, the day is here and to be honest, I feel like I’m flying blind.   Don’t know what to expect but I can make my conjectures.   I don’t really have any preferences for who wins or loses, I’ve simply stopped caring about that.   The whole thing is staged so, to have qualms about who wins or loses is a waste of energy.   Now, I look for a good performance.   You sell this stuff to me, you get it and that means I can watch you make this shit work.   Not everyone can and that is why this is such an uncertain time.   If the roster can’t make the content stick, the very industry could be in jeopardy but, that’s a while off.   Let’s see if these people understand how to keep the party going. So, to start we’ll have some tag team action for the Kick-off show with Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows facing off against the Bludgeon Brothers.   It may be up to Bald #1 and Bald #2 to make this work because as much as they’re trying

You Act as If SmackDown Won't Be Ready for Money in the Bank?...

Image
SmackDown was ready last year, the year after that and the year after that!  It will be ready this year.  Why even doubt? 😉 Happy Tuesday, Enthusiasts! So, I have to say that I have to eat a little crow tonight as after a cleaner RAW than usual, Ronda Rousey tempered my apprehensions with a thrilling preview of her match with Nia Jax during their showdown on RAW .  True, she’s still a little awkward on the mic but she sold the fight and that’s something I didn’t think she’d do.  I will always appreciate these moments.  Go ahead and prove me wrong, Enthusiasts.  I’m all for it.  If I’m talking out my ass, let me know it.  I love knowing that anything is in fact possible.  Now, we still have to see if the match is palatable but I have to say it was a bright spot for me last night. So, that leaves us with SmackDown to do the true sending home of the Go-Home show and it’s hard to say what to expect, exactly.   AJ Styles is now doing an interview for tonight, raising questi

RAW Is Set & Ready for Money in the Bank...

Image
A Merry Monday to You, Enthusiasts! So, it’s that time again.   Money in the Bank is this Sunday so we have the final offerings before we see who gets to hold the “Game Changer” this year.   I personally don’t have any preferences.   I’m kinda in a “let’s see what happens” mode.    If they make it work, they make it work.   That’s more what I’m looking at.   If it takes well.   As for tonight, we have a few points of note that are supposed to get the tummy grumbling for this upcoming night of madness.   We have ourselves a big, fat Fatal-4-Way betwixt the likes of Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode and Braun Strowman.   Now, just looking at it, one would lean towards Strowman but if the WWE is smart and want to keep things interesting, Strowman should be formidable but not invincible.   Wrestlers just have to be smart about it.   If they fuck up, that’s their ass but if they finagle a win, they finagle win.   I get that he’s a Monster among Men but no one likes someone winni

It Can Only Be Expected that SmackDown Will Pick-Up RAW's Slack...

Always do 😉 Happy Tuesday to You, Enthusiasts! So, RAW was a little cleaner this week.   Could be because the WWE is trying to shop around its product to get “For Your Consideration” eyes on it.   Well, we all know that this product is far from Emmy worthy but some of the documentaries may just cut it.   If that’s the goal, could we get some better real-time content in the future?   SmackDown moving to FOX next year could help that as well.   Let’s keep our fingers crossed. As for tonight’s action, we’ll be paced as I’m sure the more exciting tidbits will be dropped during the Go-Home shows.   So, we’ll have Becky Lynch and Charlotte go at it, not sure why.   Aiden English and Lana will dance with Jimmy Uso and Naomi…not sure where Rusev is.   Maybe he’ll support from ringside.   Come up with the save?   I don’t know.   Paige will oversee the contract signing for AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura’s scheduled throwdown at Money in the Bank.   Someone’s bound to make a state

Back for More RAW. It Can Only Be Expected...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts! Hope this Monday finds you well.   So, we’re back at it with RAW continuing the charge towards Money in the Bank and there’s not too much stirring the pot at least, that’s how it looks. We can look forward to Kevin Owens and Finn B álor going round and round for a bit, not sure what other than bragging rights is at stake.   Braun Strowman is going to stomp his way towards Mr. Bobby Roode for this week’s “David vs. Goliath” match.   Natalya will counter by playing “Davida” to Nia Jax’s “Goliatha”.    And there will be a #1 Contenders match with all the tag team leavings to see who will be fed to the duo of Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy for the Tag Team Championship. I think I’ve already voiced my lackluster sentiments for the Hardy/Wyatt pairing.   Seeing how the “Bludgeon Brothers” aren’t exactly landing either, I’m hoping that there will be some sort of rebellion in the works.   Maybe the Brothers Bludgeon abduct Wyatt and de-brainwash him to rein
