SmackDown Left Us a Message Before Crown Jewel...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! So, there are few things going on. Some of them a little bittersweet but there’s enough to get a decent chat going. Up for it? Let’s do it. So, let’s just swing by the Realm of AEW for a moment to check in on the Moxley Takeover. Looks like they had some fun this past week on Dynamite with Darby Allin dropping from the rafters. Personally, I’d have him do that on top of someone but I can understand the safety issues with that. I also liked how Orange Cassidy presented his case and how Wheeler Yuta used himself as bait. I can understand him sticking to the devil he knows with Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan out for the time being. Where else would he go? As for the man of the hour in Jon Moxley himself, I think these in-between times would be best used to implement some “charm”. If this is gonna go for a year or 2, this has to remain engaging. So, during the “lulls”, perhaps this is a time to show what he has to offer. Maybe elaborate more on...

Crown Jewel VI 2024 - SmackDown Fallout....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Well, there’s stuff going on, but I’ll be honest. It’s an uncertain time in the United States of America. I’ll give a little personal insight to start and then we’ll happily escape into the Wrestling World. I just feel I have to offer a take on this whole thing. Now, for my international readers, let me just say that Americans, generally speaking, have never been known for their smarts and this year’s election proved why unfortunately. Middle America has this idea/concept of America that I as a female person of color could never fully relate to. I see all too often the hypocrisy and unfairness. So, when Donald Trump first came through with this whole “Make America Great Again” concept, I never really understood to what he was referring. I’m supposing it’s some Baby Boomer sentiment of when things were cheap and plentiful. You could happily and relatively easily go about buying your house with the picket fence, have your 2.5 kids and leave your front do...

SmackDown Starts to Think About Packing...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Seems like this was a fair enough day for most of us, but it looks like this is a tough year for the Anoa’i Family as word broke today that Afa has passed away. Most knew he was unwell but with the recent passing of Sika, 2024 is shaping up to be a bittersweet year, at best. My sincere condolences to the family. He was another one that I didn’t see in action but if you guys ever catch some early episodes of the original Miami Vice, you can catch him in a small role being some thug’s muscle. His time on screen is brief but he made an amusing impression. I can only imagine what I missed. In lighter news but not exactly more uplifting, it appears that Bobby Lashley is no longer with WWE. If you check WWE’s Alumni page, you can find him listed there. You can see Bo Dallas posted there too, so it’s kinda hard to accept the information there as complete fact but if you haven’t seen them on WWE TV in a while, I suppose it’s safe to say they’ve moved on....

SmackDown Plays with Presentation for Bad Blood...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Enjoying your Friday? I’m about to start. So, there are a few rumblings at the end of this week. Gives us something to talk about for sure. You ready to get into it? Let’s do it. We’ll start in the Realm of AEW because they seem to be evolving before our eyes at the moment. But before we get into that, the big news is that there are reports that Miro/Rusev has requested his release from AEW. Haven’t seen or heard much of him recently and I wasn’t sure if that was due to him being injured or whatever but it appears he feels he’s going to waste. Could we see the return of “Rusev Day” in the WWE Universe? Most commenters would welcome it and I wouldn’t mind it either. I’m glad Miro got a taste of the world outside of the WWE Universe but he always seemed better suited for it. Hopefully, he has confirmed that sentiment. I would like to see him return, Lana too. SmackDown Tries to Stay Focused for Bad Blood...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! Certainly glad to see the end of this week. Not that it was particularly bad or anything, just looking forward to a rest 😩 As for the Wrestling World, there are a few topics of interest we can chat about. You up for it? Let’s break it down. We’ll start in the Realm of AEW as there were some things that warrant a short discussion. First of all, Shane McMahon was seen with the Young Bucks during a flight recently. Both parties were on their way to Salt Lake City, UT for some reason. Most are saying this is a coincidence but is there a Shane McMahon debut at AEW in the works? I can’t say. It does seem random but without Tony Khan in the mix it’s hard to say one way or another. I guess with those who travel a lot and in the same business, crossing paths is bound to happen but the destination does raise an eyebrow. SmackDown Closes Up Shop for Bad Blood....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! Well, there are plenty of things we can discuss this evening but I’m only going to touch on a few. Shouldn’t take too long. You’ll be hearing a lot from me with Bad Blood this weekend so, I’ll try not to ramble on. Let’s get into it, shall we? We’ll begin in the Realm of AEW as they finalized their deal with Warner Bros./Discovery. Content will be posted to Max and they’re locked in for the next few years. Congratulations to them! It’s nice to seem them getting a foothold. I never ascribed to the tribalism that floats around so, I don’t mind them succeeding. Don’t know why that would be a problem. There should be alternatives in a free market. It may not be my bag but I’m glad it’s out there to showcase talent that may not get the recognition they deserve otherwise. Onwards and upwards! SmackDown Starts Testing Out Language Apps for Bash in Berlin...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s everyone doing? I have to keep complaints to a minimum because I must admit things could be quite a bit worse. However, the Wrestling World appears to have some movement going on at the end of this week. Shall we discuss? Allow me to begin. First thing that comes to mind is that word is Ricochet has signed with AEW. The terms are murky, but it sounds like he’s set to be there for the foreseeable future. Will Osprey has already called dibs for feuding so, I may have to check out their matches when they go down. I hope the move leads Ricochet to everything he deserves. He’s a delight to watch. Elsewhere in the Realm of AEW, there’s question of what’s going on with Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose. Is he hurt? On vacay? They just don’t have anything for him? I can’t say but I can say I haven’t heard much about him of late. Crown Jewel VI 2024 - RAW Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Did you have a chance to catch Crown Jewel VI? It was a solid show from start to finish. There really wasn’t a bad match. Some commenters may disagree but given how PPVs were hit or miss not too long ago, WWE has nothing to be upset about with last weekend’s display. It was what a wrestling show ought to be. Why don’t we talk a little about it, among other things? Most would say that GUNTHER vs. Cody Rhodes was Match of the Night though I preferred Kevin Owens kicking it old school and going ballistic on Randy Orton. I don’t know where it goes but I’m fine with Owens “keeping it real”. Some people griped about the Bloodline Match with Roman Reigns losing clean to Solo Sikoa. Many also noted how this match had the least “wrestling” as well which should have been expected. The Bloodline and all those associated have never been great wrestlers. SmackDown Stretches Its Legs on the Way to SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s still hot and confusing, among other things. This was a strange week. I think many of us in the United States are still processing it. I try to keep politics out of this blog but looks like it may creep in this year. There’s stuff going on in the wrestling world too so, I’ll keep other comments brief. I’ll just open with a little humor. I don’t know what to make of this assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I can say that I think it was completely unnecessary. He should be trivialized, not martyred. However, given the fishiness of this incident I’ll offer up my playful conspiracy theory. I’m gonna say this was a move by Russia to help secure the election by garnering sympathy for Trump. I don’t think anyone died. They’re in hiding, the shooter as well. SmackDown Returns to Live Action for War Games / Survivor Series....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? How’d the week treat you? Meh, it wasn’t that exciting on my end but as usual, just glad it’s over. As for the Wrestling World there are some grumblings but per usual, not that it moved me much, but we have a few things to kick around. Ready? Here we go. First, we’ll stop in the Realm of AEW and check in on this Death Riders Domination. I guess the bigger news is that Toni Storm is “retiring” from pro-wrestling. Given the nature of this disclosure, it’s pretty clear it’s a work of some sort so, we’ll let the lady do her thing. As for Jon Moxley’s crew, I like how both Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy are doing what they can to slow down their train. Someone has to 😉 Yet, in both cases, my case and point was kinda proven.
