GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (Oct. 6th, 2014)

Image
I didn’t know what to expect coming into RAW last night.  I heard this, read about that but, really had no clue what would transpire.  Was I pleasantly surprised? In the right places.  Was I thoroughly entertained?  Not as much as I would have liked but at the same time, I get the feeling it’s best not to ask too much at this present juncture.  Though the WWE appears to be piecing together “Plan B” each night, it’s still very evident that quite a few question marks linger, which may be what makes it very much like Life right now.  They may just be doing the best with what they’ve got.  At the same time, they have the means to override the slings and arrows of Fate.  Perhaps, the issue is not knowing how to best use said means? In any case, we open with the guy everybody likes to hate or at least beat down in Seth Rollins, all slippery wet and with an axe to grind.  He rants about how everyone is on his ass and how great he is and how he’s the guy “to beat” and the ass-kicke

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night (Oct. 3rd, 2014)

Image
It’s interesting what a change of perspective does.  Having started to settle into my new digs, I sat down Friday night to partake of this week’s SmackDown .  It was like looking at it with new eyes almost.  I felt as if I was watching it for the first time, in a way.  For whatever reason, I could look upon it with more objectivity. Not really feeling good or bad about it but I was simply able to watch it for what it was.  I can’t say how things will progress overall but what I could clearly gather is that the WWE carries on, for better or for worse. We open with John Cena still after Seth Rollins for fucking up his Christmas at Night of Champions. Understood, yet if Cena wants a piece of Rollins then he has to go through Dean Ambrose, by default.  Of course, Ambrose presents himself to make this very case.  Fucked up Christmas or not, Rollins is Ambrose’s bitch. Well, Cena’s been in the game long enough to know how to defuse a tense situation and calls a truce.  No point i

JUST A LITTLE RAW…An Abridged and Belated Overview of Monday Night (Sept. 29th, 2014)

Image
Just because I had to move, doesn’t mean I can’t still watch my wrassling. Some people have Game of Thrones, others have The Real Housewives of Wherever and I have RAW and SmackDown.   It pained me to miss it this past Monday but, I had to unpack and honestly, I’m glad I did.   Don’t have it hanging over my head.   Anyway, since I’m all late, I was able to peruse the interwebs to see what were the most interesting matches and then took a gander on the Youtubes.   They weren’t bad but there were some glimmers of hope so…I’ll say progress can certainly be made. The first match I watched was the Dean Ambrose/John Cena mayhem but, naturally, I’ll close with that so we’ll begin with the match between Mark Henry and Bo Dallas.   Now, I think the beauty of Mark Henry is that he’s so convincing, it doesn’t really matter if he’s a Heel or a Face.   Rumor has it that he’s being set up for a Heel-turn but, given what’s going on, it may not matter.   He’s entertaining to watch e

Go On Without Me... - RAW MST3K Style

Alas, due to technical difficulties, I won't be able to join in the RAW Twitter madness tonight.  TV's on the fritz.  I may catch a glimpse here and there but not enough to comment.  Aw well, leaves me time to unpack (^_-)  Guess there are more important things to do.  Hope to see you for SmackDown. Have fun out there for me! -Nicole Alexis.

SMACKIN’ IT DOWN… What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night [Sept. 27th, 2014]

Image
Looks like we still got a ballgame as SmackDown keeps hope alive.  Though this may have been just making lemonade out lemons, they made it mighty tasty for once.  It was a solid show, with solid performances.  Even the flubs smoothed out to present a well-played evening.  Once again, all is not lost.                      We start out with our substitute “It Guy” in Dean Ambrose set to finish up what The Miz started on Main Event .  It was true to form.  Ambrose didn’t really take The Miz too seriously, as he shouldn’t and The Miz was pompous and punk-ass as usual with Damien “Mizdow” on the sidelines providing support.  Just as Ambrose is about to put a nail in the proverbial coffin, wouldn’t you know it, Seth Rollins saunters out with Dad/Korporate Kane as back-up.  Well, we all know Ambrose can’t resist that scent. . Yet, he keeps his cool enough to get the win and then proceeds to dish out his usual business to Seth Rollins.  Dad, naturally, “interjects” on t

Let's See What They Came Up With - SmackDown 3K

For those of you getting started or simply staying in, let's see how the WWE is fairing given their recent setbacks.  I know, has anything really gone right?  Well, I think they're trying.  After all, if they don't, they go out of business. *shrug* C'est la vie.  Let's enjoy ourselves, anyway.  Funny tweets get retweeted. Funnier tweets get retweeted and favorited.  Have a great weekend! -Nicole Alexis

GIVIN’ IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (Sept. 22nd, 2014)

Following Night of Champions , up in the air seems to be the general theme of the WWE at present.  With Roman Reigns out for probably the rest of the year at least, Dean Ambrose seems happy to step-up and fill in the blank.   Nevertheless, I think in last night’s showing of RAW, it was apparent that a scramble is definitely going on with Creative to keep things going during Reigns’ absence.  Yet, it can just as easily be said that’s been the state of things for a while, despite who’s on the Disabled List.  Though I’m curious about the original plan and progression, the show must and did go on in an acceptable if not erratic fashion. We open with Dean Ambrose picking up where he left off from Night of Champions, eager to continue his job of beating Seth Rollins’ ass. I personally love that Ambrose is ever so willing to kick Rollins’ ass all-day, every-day, no matter what.  The only caveat I would think is keeping it fresh.  Would a feud like that ever get old?  Depends on ho
