This Is Why SmackDown Keeps Its Money in a Mattress...

Hello Enthusiasts,

Is it a good Tuesday for you?  It’s one of the better ones for me, actually.  So, let’s get to it.  RAW, for all my pessimism, was actually quite fun last night.  I had a great time with it and more importantly, it seemed like the roster did too.  I think that has been one of the things missing, in all honesty.  They’ve been treating it more like work when it’s supposed to be a good time.  I won’t blame anybody.  I’m sure they weren’t sure of their direction if rumors are true that they could be overruled anyway at a moment’s notice.  Nevertheless, it looks like they’re loosening up out there and that’s nothing but an improvement.

In any case, we have to discuss the new 24/7 Title.  Yes, they could have done more to create a more tasteful belt but who knows how much time they had to work on this.  I think the concept is great.  I think this will allow for a lot of fun and give a lot of those who feel like they’re just warming the bench some airtime and a chance to shine. Besides, they always have time to fill on RAW, I see the bulk of this action happening there.  It may spill to the other shows more strategically as it should.  As I said on the Twitters, I just hope they make it completely random.  Get a lottery or bingo tumbler and throw all the names in.  Turn it for about 30sec. and pull out the name(s).  I think that will give some hope in the locker room.  It could be a point of fairness and opportunity.  Could definitely help morale.

In other news, I just want to take a little time for an honorable mention to Cesaro and Ricochet.  Never mind that the acting needs a little work, their performance in the ring was absolutely ideal.  Though Ricochet lost, both men won and that is what the roster in general should be aiming for, good performances.  The Winner(s) sell the win.  The Loser(s) sell the loss for the complete solid match.  They offer up their tricks and skills to either triumph or failure.  That’s where we get the entertainment.  We see that they are actually skilled professionals and not a bunch of hacks jumping around.

Anyway, we’ll see if we’ll have some 24/7 action spill over into SmackDown.  Looks like we’ll celebrate Kofi Kingston’s retaining of the WWE Title and Big E. may make his return.  Roman Reigns will continue to beef with Elias since Elias is like Drew McIntyre.  If Shane McMahon has beef with Reigns then Elias has beef with him too.  We'll see if the brown-nosing gets interesting.  Apparently, some of the ladies will get some action as well as Carmella and Mandy Rose face off while Becky Lynch and Bayley see if they're a good team...given everything that's transpired.  I get the feeling they'll be shenanigans if Kofi Kingston and Sami Zayn go at it.  Zayn has been leaning more on the entertainment side of things of late so, I don't expect much "wrestling" but we shouldn't be bored.  If they were watching last night, hopefully they’ll carry over the looser sentiment overall.  Let’s have fun out there!  That's what the people paid good money for.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites we should continue to have reasonable standards but remember, we’re trying to be entertained.  If you’re having fun, they may just be doing their jobs.  True wit will be rewarded with circulation and further acclaim.  Let us see if we’re left smiling.

See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
