Clash in Paris 2025 - Smackdown Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! So, the Wrestling World has a few things going on. Many of us are “getting our arms twisted” with having to pick up the ESPN app. I’ll probably breakdown next week but I got to see where I can streamline first. Probably going to let Peacock go but we’ll see if it can be saved. It does have some decent content outside of WWE. Yet, I digress. Let’s get into this week’s action. In the Realm of AEW all seems to be going nicely as Darby Allin appears to have put all 45 pounds of himself into becoming a one man wrecking machine against the Riders of Death. He dragged off “The Hooligan”, Gabe Kidd in a body bag hitched to the back of a truck so he means to make an example of anyone he can get his hands on. Meanwhile, Jon Moxley has his eye on recruiting the “naive” Daniel Garcia. Not sure he’s the type to break but stranger things have happened. All in all, this is great for the Future because currently no one has eyes on it which is absolutely perfe...

Clash in Paris 2025 - RAW Fallout

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Did you catch Clash in Paris? Honestly, I’m glad I went in blind. It was a solid show. Nothing anyone needed to see but at the same time, not exactly a waste of time. I liked the main event the most but the Match of the Night went to John Cena vs. Logan Paul. Paul is better than you’d like to give him credit for and he’s accepting Heel-dom well so, we’re going to start loving to hate him. We’re also going to have to get used to Lord Seth Rollins and Lady Becky Lynch acting more as a cohesive unit. With her intervention in the Fatal-4-Way, sources online are stating that she’s now a member of The Vision. Always thought that was a given but if there was any wonder, there it is.   All in all, I wasn’t disappointed with the show. It didn’t need my full attention but it did leave some interesting hints for the Future. The show opened with Roman Reigns and closed with Lynch and Rollins which leads me to think that the seeds are taking root. We ...

Clash in Paris 2025 - Matches of Interest

Image
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s Clash in Paris and I’ll just be honest. I don’t really have any Matches of Interest. This is more me than WWE, though. I’m just not intrigued in that way. I kinda just want to watch and see if anyone impresses. Is that so wrong? I’ll probably be like this until Survivor Series. I’ve seen enough of this to know what’s a big deal and what’s not. I’m going to watch. I haven’t lost my interest but I really can’t comment on what’s going to transpire. I’m just hoping it’s either well-executed or I’m thoroughly entertained.  There’s a lot of room for fun today so I'm more interested to see if they let it happen or try to make it. That may be why I’m so…curious. We see WWE is starting to make things work and get this ship functional. That said, do they forget how to have a good time in the process? Something tells me Clash in Paris is a chance to see.  All the scripted action led us to now. Do we want to be here? We’ve already been here wi...

SmackDown Gets a Head Start on Clash in Paris...

How’s It Going Enthusiasts?   There are some things to chat about but what it concerns is more about digital logistics than wrestling. Shall we just get into it? Shouldn’t be a long post ‘cause of that. Let’s go.   So, that ESPN deal that forces us all to reconsider our streaming services has dropped early. Instead of having until 2026 to think about it, we’re being forced to make a decision now. Things are a lot easier for international viewers but for those of us stateside, we have some decisions to make.   I may have to cancel and resubscribe to HULU under the Disney+ Bundle to make this work for me. I get HBO through them but I could get that through another service I stream so I may just do that to make this make some sense. Looks like Peacock will keep some WWE content so it’s not an either or situation anymore. We’re being forced to consider how we get our fix.   Some commenters are still out mainly due to the point I brought up previously. It’...

RAW Pauses the French Lessons to Attend to Other Matters...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Looking forward to hearing about what the hell is going on with Naomi? I have to say I’m curious. There are a few other tidbits to contemplate making their rounds. Shall we have a brief chat? I’m up for it if you are. Here we go. In the Realm of AEW, the Future seems to be on its way in good time. Yet, the real potential news is talk of Chris Jericho returning to WWE. He’s no spring chicken at 50-something but I think he could certainly be utilized. I can see him either becoming a confidant of Paul Heyman’s or rivaling him as being a slick former performer who knows the ropes and definitely knows how to counter the likes of Heyman and Lord Seth Rollins for that matter.  I think we’re all agreed that in-ring action is out but I’m fine with him backing up brawl action and not being afraid to tussle backstage when trouble finds him but I see him talking and perhaps sitting in on Commentary from time to time. I’m not opposed to it if they just keep it hones...

SmackDown Tries to Find More French Speaking Friends...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Glad to see the weekend? I know I am. Well, there are some interesting rumblings going on in the Wrestling World. A couple have my eye particularly so, this shouldn’t be that long of a post but they should be decent talking points. Shall we get into it? Let’s. The first order of business appears to be the rumor of WWE on some sort of quest to end AEW. I keep seeing conversations and posts on the subject and to me, this seems a little ridiculous. If it were 20-25 years ago, no doubt. I wouldn’t be remotely surprised. WWE was more petty and spiteful then. But nowadays, I’m not sure what the point is.  I think we can safely say that WWE “won” whatever battle for supremacy there may have been. Other promotions have come and gone and the smaller ones remain smaller and less popular, AEW included though I appreciate how it has become the alternative. I still can’t bring myself to watch regularly but I’ll sit through a good match and of course I feel I ...

RAW Suggests Everyone Brushes Up on Their French...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Just another Monday? Yeah, same here for the most part. Well, there’s not much going on in the Wrestling World though…I’ll just say that seeds have been planted for the Future but only those who know what the Future Holds know what that means πŸ˜‰ Besides that, we have a talking point or 2. Let’s get to it, shall we.   There’s not much to comment on in the Realm of AEW so, we’ll just keep to the WWE Universe as the news there is that Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been moved to the Alumni section. However, many feel this is some sort of work, similar to R-Truth’s dismissal or Seth Rollins’ injury. Most are expecting a return and perhaps reincarnation that explains the actions.   Personally, I don’t really mind either way. Kross was more interesting in NXT but I don’t know if we can take him that seriously in WWE without the cool entrance. And if he’s not imposing enough, I would have tried him as being comically crazy. We don’t h...
