SmackDown Goes Home for Hell in a Cell...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Enjoying your, Friday? I hope so. I have a lot on my plate this weekend but that doesn’t stop me from taking a break for some wrassling. There’s quite a bit to talk about this week. Let’s get into some of the more buzzworthy items.

So, let’s start with the downer first. The documentary on Chyna is out on Vice and I can’t bring myself to watch it. Not sure I ever will. It’s just too sad. She was an unfortunate consequence of the machinations of WWE. I respect that the she should be remembered but, man. The story is depressing. I’d just rather not. Mick Foley gives it his mark of approval though.

In happier news, both Renée Paquette and Brandi Rhodes bore their daughters this week. Congratulations to them both. I won’t presume they’ll grow up to be best friends but their connection will be undeniable regardless. May they be prosperous and healthy.

On the business side of things, the rumor is that USA Network isn’t too pleased with WWE at the moment. Apparently, tonight’s Hell in a Cell match being on SmackDown has placed a bee in their bonnet. I don’t blame them. They have RAW. Though this week’s Go Home Show was decent, how often do we say that? I’d be a bit pissed too if I have to make do with garbage when the other network gets glitz. We’ll have to see if they’re appeased.

Speaking of SmackDown, Roman Reigns is doing his part to make the future potentially interesting by talking shit about both John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. On paper it looks like he’s angling to catch a beating but that’s what you do in a position like his. He’s heeling and loving it so, you have to drum up some “beef” on occasion. Everyone is prepared for a Rock showdown and Cena’s being kicked around for SummerSlam so we’ll see if it develops into some real action.

As for tonight, it looks like there’s been some rescheduling. Instead of on Sunday, Rey Mysterio will face Roman Reigns tonight! What that means for Hell in a Cell has yet to be determined. Most guess this leads to a match with Dominik on Sunday which would be quite the accomplishment for him. He’s been showing a lot of promise and playing the role of resident “baby” really well. Even though he’s 7 feet tall he’s still just 12-years-old and he’s leaning into that as he should. To face Reigns at this stage is quite a rite of passage if it comes to pass. Can’t say he hasn’t put in the work. As for other action, Shinsuke Nakamura makes a play to usurp the King of the Ring crown as Commander Azeez a.k.a. Dabba-Kato gets in the ring again, this time under his new moniker. He should play this like an old-school rapper on a mix-tape and have like 10 nicknames he goes by (a.k.a the 10ft Stallion, a.k.a the African Keilbasa etc...😉). Makes the whole thing easier to swallow. Anyway, funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Let’s see if they get us excited for Sunday.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
