Elimination Chamber 2025 - RAW Fallout

My goodness! Well, as you know there’s plenty to talk about and we’ll get into it. This past Elimination Chamber was by far the best one I’ve ever seen but it leaves us all wondering. What is a WWE Universe with a Heel John Cena? The argument can be made that this was always the case but if so, how do they make operating with the “lifted veil” palatable? It looks like we’re about to see. Let’s not waste any more time and just get to it.

 

Though the impossible/inevitable happened, most would say that the Unsanctioned Match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was Match of the Night. I wouldn’t deny it but I have to say the Men’s Elimination Chamber is what held the bulk of my interest.

 

I thought it was cleanly executed and truly presented who our “characters” are. Say what you will, CM Punk is an “Anti-Face”. He won’t bend to the Corporate Will, but he will make them money. Seth Rollins continues to hold old grudges. Drew McIntyre wants to “be CM Punk” to a mild degree. I think he wants his ability on the mic and the Crowd’s adoration but just doesn’t know how to get it. Logan Paul is an antagonizing yet athletic dork. Damian Priest will lie in the cut and be the “Puerto Rican Sagat” of Street Fighter II and subsequent iterations’ fame. And John Cena was technically the consummate performer he’s always been.

 

So, what does that mean with Cena as a Heel? A lot of commenters bring up the children. How does he manage being the “Bad Guy” and champion the kids? It’s a good question but in a case like this, I would look at Daniel Bryan’s Heel Turn. Bryan being the “Eco-Terrorist” was hilarious and I think Cena should proceed by leaning on humor. R-Truth may be a big help in doing so. Truth is already saying, “Say it ain’t so!...” and I think that’s a good way to start.

 

I don’t mind if Cena has some vacillation in this new space. I also don’t mind if he proves to us why he was cast as PeaceKeeper in the DC Universe. All that matters is that it’s entertaining and so far, I’m intrigued. I think WWE will go with whatever works. If Bad Cena doesn’t get traction, they’ll probably have him reconsider his actions and turn on The Rock at some point. They could even retroactively make it seem like Cena was in cahoots with Cody Rhodes all along and that the “Heel Turn” was all “part of the plan”.

 

If Bad Cena takes, then it’s all about having fun crapping on whatever Cena used to stand for. He takes candy from babies. Starts skipping Make-A-Wish appearances. Starts talking shit about anyone and everyone. Doubles down on Hollywood, starts throwing weight around in WWE. Just straight starts giving a fuck! It could be fun but it will all depend on what We the People dictate and I think that has yet to be decided. Don’t be surprised if we’re witnessing some “Beta Testing” here. We’ll just have to see what sticks.

 

And let us not forget that we had some great returns this Elimination Chamber as Jade Cargill returned to beat the crap out of Naomi 🤯 and Randy Orton came back to get Owens thinking. Sure, they got overshadowed but it’s still great that they’re back. We’ll just see how they play into everything. There’s always room for them. People will need allies and someone to pick a fight with. They’ll get their screen time.

 

And so this brings us to tonight’s RAW. As you can see, it’s all about the Elimination Chamber Fallout which I have to say is the right way to begin the final build to WrestleMania. This promotion is finally starting to feel like it knows what it’s doing. May I just continue to say that the Future is looking very Bright 😉

 

In the meantime, CM Punk will help set the tone. Rhea Ripley will throw the Women’s World Title up against Iyo Sky. GUNTHER will remind us all that he’s still in the mix along with Jey Uso. Bianca Belair will try to get some clarity on the Jade Cargill situation and the War Raiders will continue to workshop the new kids in the Creed Brothers for the Tag Team Championships.

 

The unofficial replay party will start during the 8 o’clock hour but don’t be surprised if I don’t going until after 9pm. Just gotta clear the way, if you get my drift. Stop by once you have a moment.
