RAW Teases a Jog to WrestleMania...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

A Merry Monday to you! There isn’t that much going on in the Wrestling World at the moment so, rest assured this post will be considerably shorter than the last one 😉 I can ramble on about a couple things but I shouldn’t take up too much of your time. Ready? Here we go.

Usually we pitstop over in the Realm of AEW to see how they’re doing but things appear to be going nicely and there’s quite a bit of time before the “real stuff” gets going so let them simmer this stew.

What has my attention today was the report that WWE is having trouble filling the 3 hours for SmackDown. Now this is a prime example of their Creative Department lacking creativity. This is not how it should be. I’ve said before that there should be an abundance of ideas not a deficit. If this was a regular old fictional television show, they’d have the next season already written maybe even the one after that depending. The only ones I know of that fly by the seat of the pants are the South Park cats and you haven’t seen them slow down.

Granted, they pull from real life all the time but that’s the key to remaining relevant and that works in moderation in the WWE Universe but ultimately, there should be plenty of ideas to pool from and to hear that they’re not, just signals a problem to me. With their resources, gaps like this should be deemed unacceptable. There should be too much to do, always, not too little. Will it all be gold, of course not. Sometimes, playing with the idea leads to a vein but what I’m getting at is that it’s the Creative Department’s job to sit around and think of stuff. If that well is running dry, they need to “divine” elsewhere.

The roster is too stacked. There’s gotta be something for them to do. If anything, straight up get like a bingo wheel and toss in names and get random. See who stumbles upon gold. I always thought and have said before that a backstage segment with the best shit talkers would take. I was thinking the weekly poker game or something. Only true zingers get you a seat sort of thing and when the zing leaves a ”mark” well, that may be the path to taking this to ring.

I grew up as an only child so, entertaining myself comes naturally. I'm always kicking around silly ideas just to make myself laugh. When it comes to this stuff, just getting it on the board is what’s important. It may seem like crap to start but in the right hands and under the right conditions, they may surprise themselves.

All I’m saying is for a serialized show that’s set to be on TV for the foreseeable future, there should be a Cloud server or 2 chock-full of ideas to pull from that can be used for now, then and forever. This is stuff I shouldn’t have to say. Someone should have been on that years ago.

Just take note of points like this when it comes time for the next round of cuts. This is why I say talent has to have their own ideas ready. Something is better than nothing. Stupid shit can always be turned into funny shit. Keep those memo apps and old-fashioned notepads full. Be able to say you weren’t the one short on ideas.

And with that, we arrive at tonight’s RAW. They end the European festivities with a final show in London. This all happened earlier so we have tape delayed fare to replay. We can expect Lucha-Mitsu (ルチャ - 光) aka Penta to put the burgeoning rivalry with Bron Breakker aside to join forces to face Finn Bálor and Dominik Mysterio of the Judgment Day. We’ve been seeing teasers for Rey Fenix so it looks like I’ll be implementing the moniker “Yoshi-Libre” (吉-リブレ) very soon. Looks like GUNTHER makes a statement with the likes of Jimmy Uso. AJ Styles makes a match with that jack-hole Logan Paul. Bianca Belair will serve as guest referee for a match against Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. And John Cena will see if he can add some zest to this lackluster Heel Turn in another face-off with Cody Rhodes. Spoilers make it seem like they’re going in the right direction, but I’ll have to see for myself.

The unofficial replay party should get underway by the 9 o’clock hour. I’ll try to get it going sooner but I got a few other things have to knock out first. Feel free to start without me. I’ll catch up.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
