RAW Works Up to a Power Walk to WrestleMania....
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Enjoying the additional daylight? Spring is almost here. In the meantime,
there are a few things simmering on the back burner, so to speak. Are you up
for chatting a little about them? It’s just a little. I’m not trying to take up
anyone’s time. This shouldn’t kill ya.
So, we’ll take a short visit to the Realm of AEW as life appears to
carry on. Jon Moxley found his cat burglar costume and took a crowbar to Swerve
Strickland’s knee and put a Curbstomp to his busted eardrum before skedaddling off
and cutting a promo. It does appear true to form and if I may say, it seems to be an indication that Mox has turned it up to a “6”.
As much as we can tease him for the “hit” it’s playing better amongst
commenters. This angle has finally reached 50/50 status as opposed to all 👎👎👎 That’s all I was going for. Given how early it is, it’s no big deal if
spectators don’t get it but at the very least, they have to be entertained and
Mox looks to be finding that delicate balance. I don’t doubt it can be
accomplished. It’s just that making the Future Bright will take some time. I’m
a little worried about the “stamina” but there’s time to fill in the blanks.
“Wounding” Strickland makes sense ‘cause Mox isn’t the better
wrestler. Prime directive should be paving a way to “win”. No one said it had
to be fair. And since Mox is the Heel here, he doesn’t have to be. All it has
to be is believable and entertaining. Check those boxes and it’s all good for
the most part. This is definitely “don’t overthink it” territory. Good luck!
Over in the WWE Universe, word is we can expect the return of
Aleister Malakai Black during WrestleMania Fallout. I’ve waited this long, what’s a few more
weeks. I’m not going to get ahead of myself here but he should give the spooky
fare something to work with. He can do a dance with the Wyatt Sicks and eventually
he’s got to throw down with Finn Bálor. Yet, what I think really needs to
happen is the tacit alliance with whomever Zelina Vega rolls with.
And so, I figure Black should develop a new crew and if anyone messes
with the New LWO, they should have a friend in whatever Black develops. Keeping
a foot on the real connection is always fun in the Wrestling World, doubly so
in the WWE Universe. Messing with the wrong person should always have repercussions
😉
In administrative WWE news, there’s talk that this year’s Survivor
Series may find itself in San Diego. If so, I’d be very delighted. I plan on
being in the area at the time. It’d be quite the Thanksgiving treat. We’ll see
if the Gods will be so kind.
That brings us to tonight’s RAW. The European tour continues and
we get a taste of how the Belgian Crowd does it. We can expect to see Ivy Nile
take on Dakota Kai. Jey Uso will see what Austin Theory has got in the tank.
Lucha-Mitsu aka Penta will see if Ludwig Kaiser wants some more. Finn Bálor
will attempt to smack the smug off Bron Breakker’s face. And we’ll see what
Cody Rhodes has to say in a face-to-face with John Cena.
The spoilers make this showdown seem pivotal. It may change how WWE
continues this Heel Turn. I haven’t seen it in context yet so, I will hold comment
for now but don’t be surprised if they maneuver this into a double-cross on The
Rock. If Cena isn’t going to lean into being a Heel it may be better to just
switch him back to being a Face. We’ll see how this goes.
Since the show was abroad, the start time was on Brussels’ Time. I’ll
get around to it during the California 9 o’clock hour. Feel free to join in if you’re not
otherwise detained.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
