How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Seems like this was a fair enough day for most of us, but it looks like this is a tough year for the Anoa’i Family as word broke today that Afa has passed away. Most knew he was unwell but with the recent passing of Sika, 2024 is shaping up to be a bittersweet year, at best. My sincere condolences to the family. He was another one that I didn’t see in action but if you guys ever catch some early episodes of the original Miami Vice, you can catch him in a small role being some thug’s muscle. His time on screen is brief but he made an amusing impression. I can only imagine what I missed. In lighter news but not exactly more uplifting, it appears that Bobby Lashley is no longer with WWE. If you check WWE’s Alumni page, you can find him listed there. You can see Bo Dallas posted there too, so it’s kinda hard to accept the information there as complete fact but if you haven’t seen them on WWE TV in a while, I suppose it’s safe to say they’ve moved on. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? It’s still hot and confusing, among other things. This was a strange week. I think many of us in the United States are still processing it. I try to keep politics out of this blog but looks like it may creep in this year. There’s stuff going on in the wrestling world too so, I’ll keep other comments brief. I’ll just open with a little humor. I don’t know what to make of this assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I can say that I think it was completely unnecessary. He should be trivialized, not martyred. However, given the fishiness of this incident I’ll offer up my playful conspiracy theory. I’m gonna say this was a move by Russia to help secure the election by garnering sympathy for Trump. I don’t think anyone died. They’re in hiding, the shooter as well. Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s everyone doing? I have to keep complaints to a minimum because I must admit things could be quite a bit worse. However, the Wrestling World appears to have some movement going on at the end of this week. Shall we discuss? Allow me to begin. First thing that comes to mind is that word is Ricochet has signed with AEW. The terms are murky, but it sounds like he’s set to be there for the foreseeable future. Will Osprey has already called dibs for feuding so, I may have to check out their matches when they go down. I hope the move leads Ricochet to everything he deserves. He’s a delight to watch. Elsewhere in the Realm of AEW, there’s question of what’s going on with Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose. Is he hurt? On vacay? They just don’t have anything for him? I can’t say but I can say I haven’t heard much about him of late. How’s It Going Enthusiasts! Welcome to SummerSlam! Have no idea what to expect but that’s okay. I’m enjoying the day for more casual yet personal reasons today. Nevertheless, I’ll be watching at 4pm PDT and while I am I will be looking at just a few matches. The rest either should perform or have to. First match I’m curious about is GUNTHER vs. Damian Priest. I think we’re on the cusp of a Priest Face Turn. My only question is, where does it go? Not that I mind that he earns respect but what’s next is the real question. The thing about Gunther is that he’s simple. The point is to win. Who is the next opponent? See, give him someone else to mangle. Priest now has to have some sort of quest or be some sort of adjudicator. Not sure if the landscape is quite set up for that at present. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Happy Friday! Well, it’s a hot one here. Are you sweltering? Where I live now, it’s near the beach so summers stay relative comfortable but not this year. It’s reminding me of my inland days. It’s hot! But the world goes on so, let’s see what’s going on about the wrestling one. We’ll start in the realm of AEW as they have quietly allowed a few contracts to expire. A couple noteworthy new free agents are CJ Perry/Lana and Ric Flair. Looks like AEW have done what they’re gonna do with them and now they are free to pursue their next endeavors. Well, most feel Flair needs to hang it up and I don’t see WWE entertaining Perry/Lana without Miro/Rusev so, we’ll see what these 2 get into next. As usual, we wish them the best. In other AEW news, word is Tony Khan is open to speaking with Shane McMahon if he really wants to entertain a run with AEW. I don’t know if he would be there in an on-air capacity or just sit on the board but it’s an interesting collaboration

2024 MITB - Matches of Interest

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Feeling good. This is a bit of an odd Money in the Bank as it seems tinged with sorrow as we are aware of Kevin Owens’ Mother, hopefully recuperating in hospital and the passing of Roman Reigns’ Father. It’s a tough time in the WWE Universe but as in show business, the show must go on. And so, here’s what I’m looking at this time around. First off, I feel I must mention that the only Ladies Match is the MITB Ladder Match. These days that’s a big ole 🙁 ‘cause they know they have to show fair representation. This is a bit old school if you ask me. Mia Yim and Nia Jax could have been on this card easy, even if it was just Kick Off. I can see a lot of the new ladies aren’t up to speed but there are plenty who are and there’s the time to do it so, 👎 on this planning. They know they’ve got plenty of Ladies who can hold their own. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Enjoying your Friday? I’m about to start. So, there are a few rumblings at the end of this week. Gives us something to talk about for sure. You ready to get into it? Let’s do it. We’ll start in the Realm of AEW because they seem to be evolving before our eyes at the moment. But before we get into that, the big news is that there are reports that Miro/Rusev has requested his release from AEW. Haven’t seen or heard much of him recently and I wasn’t sure if that was due to him being injured or whatever but it appears he feels he’s going to waste. Could we see the return of “Rusev Day” in the WWE Universe? Most commenters would welcome it and I wouldn’t mind it either. I’m glad Miro got a taste of the world outside of the WWE Universe but he always seemed better suited for it. Hopefully, he has confirmed that sentiment. I would like to see him return, Lana too. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Enjoying this Friday? I was hoping to get something done today but it didn’t happen. That means, next week 😉 In the meantime, we got a few things to chat about. As usual, it’s nothing too shocking but we can get a little convo out of it. You up for it? Let’s do it. On the outskirts of the Realm of AEW, it appears someone in Ric Flair’s orbit had a little chat with him and Flair has reconsidered his recent actions at Piesano’s and has issued an apology. Footage of the mild altercation circulated and most commenters would say that Flair didn’t come off looking the better man. If anything, the staff at Piesano’s were offered praise for keeping their professional faces on while Flair complained. I didn’t watch the whole video but without full context, it’s hard to say who’s in the right or wrong. Yet, Flair does appear to be the A-hole this time around. I’m glad he opted to make amends. Happy Friday, Enthusiasts! How’s everyone doing? Well, there’s a few things to chat about but, you know, nothing that shocking just news of the day. I’d say it’s a slow one, more or less, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have anything to talk about. Let’s start the discussion, shall we? So, I’ll start by finalizing my thoughts on AEW’s All Out. Now, I think it’s promising that they’ve got me talking about it at least. Usually, I’m not so moved but I can see the potential. I don’t hate the brand, it’s just not my bag. And with so many former WWE stars over there, I have to check it out from time to time just to see how they’re doing. It’s good to see what’s going on. There’s more than 1 way to wash a shirt. Anyway, what I’m getting at is that I took a longer look at the points of contention concerning the “violence” and I fully stand by my previous statements. How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? I like how this PPV is shaping up. Once again the home Crowd throws an interesting wrench into the plans. If things were set, are they now changing? I can't and won't say but I think how this Crowd is operating will be a big factor in how this show goes. Let me just get into it. First up, Gunther vs. Randy Orton. Well, I think Orton should tag him back in this one. Gunther spanked him like a baby or at least if you tuned in at the right time, that's what it would look like. So, I think it’s only fair that Orton does his own version of showing Gunther who he is. Now, this will be delicate being on Gunther’s technical home turf. We can split the hairs in his being Austrian but I’m not sure when that PPV happens so, this will have 2 do. Yet, that’s also where the chance for Orton lies. I don’t doubt WWE will be back but it’s not exactly guaranteed so, everyone abroad has to make the most of what they get. So, what’s the greater moment? Witnessing
