I'll Get Some PAYBACK, How About You?...

Image
What's Up, Enthusiasts! The lot of us should be gearing up for Payback and as I stated in my last post, I'm quite curious as to what will transpire but I'm not at all invested in any of the outcomes.  I think that's a safe way to go about it.  For the main event I'm guessing Seth Rollins retains or it goes to Randy Orton or Dean Ambrose.  I wouldn't bank on Roman Reigns just yet.  I get the feeling 2016 will be his year.  Nevertheless, don't really care how it all shakes out, just that I have a good time watching it all go down.  I'll be live tweeting so feel free to chime in.  Funny tweets will get retweeted and that Favorite, well that's just something I don't want to rush (^_~) See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night [May 14th, 2015]

Image
When it comes to this week’s Smackdown, I went in with only the spoilers and wasn’t expecting to be impressed yet, I have to say that I was quite pleasantly surprised.   The content wasn’t exactly spectacular but it was presented well and most importantly, it was very entertaining.   They also have been playing around with the format, which is nothing but an improvement because We the Audience have been quite bored for some time.   And though there were some rehashings, this episode was all in all a raucous good time that doesn’t so much whet our appetites for Payback but stirs up our curiosity to the point that we’ll probably watch just to see what happens. Evansville , Indiana plays host to Smackdown this week and it appears to be business as usual until the opening theme is so rudely interrupted by Bray Wyatt.   He has a message for Ryback.   Workout all you want.    No matter how greatly your muscles bulge, you’ll still bow down to Fear.   The Fear I create…

SMACKDOWN? But of Course (^_~)....

Evening, Enthusiasts! How goes your Thursday night?  Well, I hope.  It appears that we've come to the "Go Home" SmackDown before Payback and judging by the spoilers We may be left a bit lukewarm.  I don't know...it's always hard to say.  You read the spoilers and most of the time, you're not too surprised.  Sometimes though, and it doesn't happen often, the synopsis doesn't do the action justice.  We'll see if this is one of those nights.  It ought to be but...you know what we deal with.  Anyway, funny tweets get retweeted and that Favorite...I still haven't lost hope... See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

GIVING IT TO YOU RAW…What Happened Last Night (May 12th, 2015)

Image
Greetings Enthusiasts!  I would say that RAW was the typical mixed bag that it tends to be this time around but, the show on the whole was fairly solid.  Anticipation for Payback is steadily growing and I find this promising.  I wouldn’t go so far to say that the WWE is going back to basics but it does seem to be reconnecting with itself a bit more.   We are all well aware that the general patch for shoddy performances was to throw some Attitude Era wrestlers out there for us to reminisce about but if I didn’t know better, the WWE may finally be accepting you can’t always prance out the old guard.  At some point, they have to make the new shit work.  There’s plenty to work with and they appear to be finding a way to piece it together in an at least a fairly interesting manner. We open in Dean Ambrose’s hometown of Cincinnati , Ohio and it looks like Triple H has returned from “vacation”.  Looking and, I assume, feeling refreshed, he speaks to us about his consternation over

Oh, I Don't Know...Sometimes It's Good to Get a Little RAW...

Wouldn't you say, Enthusiasts (^_~) How's everyone doing this Monday night?  I'm sure the East Coasters will soon be settling in for this evening's episode.  I'll be sure to check the interwebs once I get back to the Homestead and see what I'm in for.  I hear that Stephanie McMahon and Triple H will be making their return tonight.  Apparently, ratings were a tad low and so the thought is to bring them back.  I didn't know they were that much of a draw but hey, whatever works.  Funny tweets will get retweeted and that Favorite, well...it comes, when it comes... See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis .

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened a Couple of Nights Ago [May 8th, 2015]

Image
Salutations to you good, Enthusiasts!  I hope you all are doing well.  So, what did you think about Smackdown ? For me, I felt it held to its Army of Darkness counter to RAW in tone but, I felt it a little loose all around, even for WWE standards.  I don’t know if it’s because they’re in Canada and are trying to make it so people can take it easy but, it felt a little phoned in.  Not completely but, I feel it was a bad “selling” day but, there was some fun that offset that and so, I’m not turned off of Payback but, I thought they could do a little better job to get us interested.  I suppose they’re saving that for next week.  They're definitely piquing curiosity, though. We open in Ontario , Ottawa in Canada and we’re “royally” greeted by the newly crowned “King of the Ring”, Wade “Bad News” Barrett via an “interview” with Jerry “The King” Lawler center ring.  Lawler basically asks him how the crown suits him and does his cape fit well? Yea! Cape fits well enough.

Hmmm, Let's See What Clues SMACKDOWN Brings....

How's it going, Enthusiasts? Well, I'm sure the lot of you have heard that there's speak of a heel-turn for the Payback main event and so, we may get a hint this evening but, as with most things in the WWE Universe, things are subject to change.  Early rumors lean towards Dean Ambrose but who knows, they do love their smoke and mirrors.  In any case, I'll be doing the usual Tweet-N-Watch on the West Coast.  Feel free to join if that timing works for you. East Coasters, I'll be checking in on your tweets.  Funny ones will get retweeted and I'll continue to leave a light on for that elusive favorite. See You in a Bit,  -Nicole Alexis (^_~)

STRIPPED DOWN RAW…A Few Things That Happened Last Night (May 4th, 2015)

Image
Hey there, Enthusiasts.  Well, this day was jam packed for me, leaving little time for my leisurely pursuits and so, this RAW recap will be decidedly abridged.  I’ll just be touching on the moments that jumped out to me.  You’ll have to get the full skinny elsewhere.  Besides, I enjoy taking loads of creative license.  If you’re reading me, you do it for fun (^_~) First off, the opening was a little different this time around.  I suppose Creative is maybe getting a little bored with themselves and decided to shake things up a little. Smackdown surprisingly closing with a Singles Match last week could have been the real start but, it just happened to sneak over to the beginning of RAW.   Yet, we’re lead into it in a familiar enough way.  Randy Orton comes out with yet another axe to grind.  All right guys, you all know me. I’m the Viper!  Been “viping” for years and I’ve held it down. I’ve been the youngest to hold titles and held titles multiple times.  You think I’m afraid of

RAW You Say? I Prefer Cooked Actually (^_~)...

Greetings Enthusiasts! Well, the East Coasters are well into it by now as for the we on the West, we must wait a few more hours but, it's not so bad.  I like knowing in advance.  The grapevine speaks of Stephanie McMahon's return so, we'll see if she appears tonight to, I don't know...see what's going on with the Seth Rollins "situation" or something.  Not like it matters.  Funny tweets get retweeted and that fave...perhaps tonight's the night! See You in a Bit, -Nicole Alexis.

PUTTIN’ THAT SMACKDOWN…What Happened Last (Tuesday) Night [Apr. 30th, 2015]

I have to say, I’ve been touching on the seeming “baseline” the WWE has been establishing of late and on this week’s SmackDown that seemed more or less confirmed.   For the first time since I started this blog, there have been at least 2 consecutive weeks of decent programming. I suppose someone is listening. This is promising yet, as the wise would suggest, the key is long-term planning. Let us hope that this new “formula” being implemented ensures that this never-ending marathon which is the WWE’s presence on television maintains and evolves for as long as the WWE Universe itself remains relevant. We open in Moline , IL (about 2hrs west of Chicago ) with Seth Rollins and Dad (Kane) still not fully getting along.   Rollins doesn’t like how he’s being treated backstage, he doesn’t have enough towels and his hair isn’t wet enough.   All sorts of stuff is wrong and in his mind it’s Dad’s fault.   Dad has a hard time believing this and keeping his patience but, he he
