SmackDown Fallout - Elimination Chamber 2026

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Hope you’re enjoying your Friday. I’m about to πŸ˜‰ But first let’s just take a quick gander at what’s going on in the Wrestling World, then we can get on with our weekend. Sound good? Let’s get it started.

Over in the Realm of AEW, it looks like they had a meeting and decided it doesn’t hurt to talk a little more shit and keep the mood light. The Future is going to take a while to develop so, might as well have fun doing it.

I checked in to see Our Man Jon Moxley take on the submission specialist in Hechicero. It was a decent match. More a showcase for Hechicero than anything else but Mox being the draw he continued his winning streak. Konosuke Takeshita showed up after to stare him down since Revolution is next weekend.  Yet, what caught my interest was the promo the Riders of Death cut later in the show. They there were calling the Don Callis Family pussies.

I think Wheeler Yuta was the funniest bemoaning his new haircut. I’m sure worse things happened to him but this is what I’m talking about. Just have some fun and make watching a good time. Things will “go to shit” soon enough. Enjoy the quiet ‘cause once it’s gets going…it’s on (^_~).

Over in the WWE Universe, it’s a leisurely stroll to WrestleMania though the big news on the administrative side is that The Road Dogg stepped down from his post in Creative. Not sure what the problem was exactly. Some fans voiced a decline but I’m usually from the position of from what? True, in the past 15 years or so, it was the saving grace just ‘cause it had to be. RAW would continually hit or miss, mostly miss so to validate our interest it had to salvage what didn’t burn in the dumpster fire.

However, since Triple H has been heading things, it’s be decidedly more palatable on the whole, regardless of how much people like to complain. Hey, I know. This whole blog was started just so I could bitch in peace. Now, I can’t do that so much anymore. I have to honor the improvements. Changed the whole tone of my content.  So, with that perspective, I’m not sure what soured for Dogg but I hope he finds something that makes him happy and keeps him active. I wasn’t complaining.

As for the road to WrestleMania, the talk of the town is CM Punk “going there” in his showdown with Roman Reigns on RAW. I’m wondering if it portends a Heel Turn. Most speculate that in this match up, it is a mild one. Reigns is on the rebound so to speak. I believe The Usos are still in his corner, more or less, but he’s lost the “tribe” and his Wiseman so we can say he’s a bit “at sea” for the moment. No place to throw weight around. While CM Punk has the Heavyweight Championship and is riding high with his lady love, AJ Lee at his side. They’ve got belts on their shoulders and the world is their oyster. Guess there’s nowhere else to go but down.

Well, given what Punk said, I’d say he’s cruising for a bruising but he can maintain some street cred if he walks it back. This could be a ploy for a sort of “tough love”. He keeps reminding us that he’s the reason why The Shield came to be and you can say he’s like the big brother of that trio. This could be an attempt to re-light the fire, in a way.

Seeing how you could say Reigns on a down swing, this could be just to get him going. Punk’s the type to want a match not just go through the motions in the ring. He’s going to make sure this is the “Big Fight” it ought to be. However, I don’t mind a Heel Turn just given the time of year, if that happens, it probably should happen at WrestleMania so, we’ll see.

In the meantime, for tonight’s SmackDown we can expect Carmelo Hayes to get at another US Championship Open Challenge. Nia Jax and Lash Legend will celebrate their Tag Team victory. Rhea Ripley will talk with us about throwing down against Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship. Randy Orton will tell us his WrestleMania plans. And we’ll see if Drew McIntyre will have a Title going into WrestleMania as Cody Rhodes attempts to ruin his night as they battle for the Undisputed Championship.

I’m cooking tonight but it’s a quick dish. I should be good to go by show time. Get yourselves comfortable if your staying in and remember most of us have to “spring forward” this weekend so enjoy the last days of winter.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
