SmackDown Is Ready...
How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?
Happy WrestleMania Weekend! Well, say what you will
about the lead up, I’m mildly intrigued. Some plans haven’t worked out others
did splendidly so, we’ll see what we get. I’m staying cautiously optimistic but
I have personal incentive to make it a good time regardless so, I should have
fun.
As for the Wrestling World, it looks like most
promotions are getting out of the way. AEW aired Dynamite and Collison
on Wednesday and Thursday respectively so there’s no competition. On both
nights of WrestleMania, the first hour will be shown on the ESPN network so if you got Live TV
streaming or cable, you can at least partially partake if you don’t have the
app. It should be an eventful weekend, come what may.
Circling back to the Realm of AEW, we got some crumbs
for the Future as we saw Jon Moxley take on the “16-year-old” in Nick Wayne on Collision.
Wayne went ahead and had his Mother by his side. Mox wasn’t in action on Dynamite
but he offered a backstage promo noting how he had his Riders of Death
emissary, Marina Shafir, checking out Will Osprey’s match. It’s being established
that Osprey is the type who doesn’t know how to quit. We’ll see if anything’s
done with that later. In the meantime, the “crumbs” I was referring to concern
this kid, Wayne.
If I remember right, he’s loosely affiliated with
Papa Christian which makes sense seeing how Momma Wayne is a part of this
gimmick. The kid’s spry, I’ll give him that. He’s skinny as hell but has some moves.
It took a while but Mox proceeded to give him a spanking but not without
getting cut open in the melee. It has been a while. Nothing has to happen,
happen just yet but I like the tease/foreshadowing.
What I also liked happened on Dynamite as I
see they’re gearing up to have Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita throwdown
soon. I liked how they’re letting them let loose in Japanese. At least Okada is
going for it. That’s what I’m talking about. Let them cook Japanese style. I’m
down.
Back in the WWE Universe, that leaves us with the SmackDown WrestleMania
Go Home Show. We got some nice appetizers advertised. The Wyatt Sicks will take
on Solo Sikoa and some Juggalos in an 8-Man Tag. Tiffany Stratton will see how badly
Jordynne Grace wants that US Championship as they battle for the #1 Contender
spot. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair will loosen up with Bayley & Lyra
Valkyria so they’re ready for the Fatal-4-Way set for this weekend. We’ll have
the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale. Word is Royce Keys is slated to get
the nod but we’ll see what comes to pass. Jacob Fatu may or may not respond to
Drew McIntyre’s pre-match preemptive strike. And Cody Rhodes is sure to light
up both Pat McAfee and Randy Orton before they settle this in the ring.
We’re getting started early but keeping it simple
with the festivities. We’ll keep it old school today. Tomorrow we’ll get takeout but Sunday I will cook
something special but I should be nice and settled in by show time and I’ll
have Night 1 Matches of Interest up before the Kick-off tomorrow afternoon. It’s
a full weekend. Have fun out there. I’m gonna.
See You in a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
