Saturday Night: Main Event (VI) - Matches of Interest

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

It’s the first Saturday Night: Main Event of the year and it’s naturally a short card but I got a match that I’m looking at. I think most of us will. So, why don't we break it down.

Out of everything, I’m looking at the Fatal-4-Way with Randy Orton, Damian Priest, Trick Williams and Sami Zayn. Who wins it? Well…the shocker would be Zayn. He’s in MontrΓ©al, his hometown so they rarely give it to the hometown boy. WWE likes raining on a parade. However, they’d might do it just to drop jaws.

The favorite is Trick Williams. The Crowds have received him surprisingly well. I knew he was popular in NXT but I had no idea it translated. I didn’t even know he was a big guy until he debuted. I was expecting him to be like 5’10. He moves well for his size and he definitely has the mouth. He is basically Rick James’ Nephew. He could work out.

Then we have the veteran in Randy Orton and the still developing Damian Priest. I would be surprised if it’s Priest to be honest. I think he’s a “less is more” type. I really think following more of a “Puerto-Rican Sagat” structure would polish him out. He’s not horrible on the mic but I think most should be said/demonstrated in the ring. He may have to get more performative while working but I think he goes further if he just puts the proof in the pudding. If he somehow gets the nod, he needs to do that. Just destroy. Be tough to get around. Ruin people’s day. You have to go through him if you want to fight M. Bison.

So that leaves The Viper. I’m not mad at it. He did predict the future and I’m fine with it coming true. He’s at “Placement Holder” status. If all else fails, he can take it. Why not? Only gripe is why not put someone new over. He’s only going to get older. Well, there’s technically time for that.

If I’m putting money on it, I’d say Williams gets it. Yet, Sami Zayn is a close second ‘cause this is small enough that people don’t feel compelled to watch it. Yet, a fun shock win may put that sense of FOMO out in the atmosphere. Sometimes, we do get a happy ending.

That’s how I’m callin’ it. I’ll be settling down and starting the prep for dinner. I’m going to julienne carrots with a food processor. I feel my life is about to change.

Regardless, the party will get started at 5pm PST. We’ll all watch together. Those who relented and went back to Peacock and those who never left.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
