Crown Jewel-Perth ─ SmackDown Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? A happy Friday to you. Well, there are a couple things we can chat about today but overall, not much has grabbed my attention. That should make for a short post, but we’ll see. Ready to break the tidbits down? Let’s get to it. Over in the Realm of AEW it does appear that we are getting some foreshadowing for the Future. I have to say that I was kinda proud of the vignette between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley. They’ve come such a long way and the potential for the Future seems confirmed. It’s quite exciting. On top of that, Allin has plenty to contemplate when going into an “I Quit” Match with Mox, especially if he’s beat to hell before the thing even starts.  All I’ll say is remember what didn’t work. I can appreciate giving this feud some gravitas but ultimately, we as spectators want to have fun. It’s hard to enjoy the thing when it just looks like Allin is getting picked on. Go too far and people’s morals get challenged. That’s why I don’t care for Dea...

Crown Jewel-Perth - Matches of Interest

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts? Here we are at Crown Jewel-Perth and we’ll see if this is another so-so PPV. Given the timing, it could be but if WWE is planning more comprehensively and aiming for Survivor Series, we could get some tidbits of foreshadowing. A few years ago, I wouldn’t have bothered speculating. They certainly weren’t thinking that far ahead outside of booking the venue but these days, how to lay the groundwork for the future appears to be what these Creative Changes floating around are all about. You all know I’m all for it. But first, what about this Crown Jewel? It’s not the first show in Perth but it’s the first Crown Jewel to be held in Perth. I suppose this is how WWE plans to incorporate international shows, which I have no problem with. Yet, given the inaugural nature, you’d think there’d be some pizazz to this show.  Well, if it’s to transpire, it will be in what’s not advertised if you ask me. The show is booked solid but I don’t see any matches I’d be dying...

SmackDown Makes Itself Comfortable in Perth...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?   Enjoying this Friday? I have definitely had worse ones. So, there are a few things I can chat about in the Wrestling World. There are some rumors floating around but I’ll be focusing more on observations. Are you up for it? Let’s find out.   We’ll start off in the Realm of AEW as they are preparing for the Future. I like what I’m seeing to be honest. I checked out what those Riders of Death are up to and Darby Allin as well. Allin appears to have been given the nod to usher in the Future and I’m all for it. He may be 45lbs. but he gets it.   He’s ready for this “I Quit” Match with Jon Moxley and will set the whole place on fire if he has to. Well, that’s the only thing Mox understands.   I hope they continue to have fun, just mind the limits. This can touch on the humorous but not the ridiculous. It’s a fine line, I know but things have to always go “kayfabe too far”. Remember what got me bitching in the first place. No one ...

SmackDown Picks Up a Few Final Things Before Heading to Australia...

How’s It’ Going, Enthusiasts? Enjoying your Friday? Can’t say I can complain that much. Looking forward to sleeping in πŸ˜‰ But before we get to that, let’s chat a bit about this here “wrassling”. There’s not much going on but that hasn’t stopped me before. Let’s just do a brief stop in the Realm of AEW. The path to the Future appears to be in the process of being paved so, I’ll let that asphalt dry. In the meantime, it looks like WWE doesn’t care where Andrade goes next as he turned up back in AEW.  The general sentiment is that Andrade is just going where the wind blows but ideally he’d prefer to head back to WWE yet, given how the word going around that he was more or less let go, I’m not sure how feasible that is. He’s a good performer. No doubt he’s talented but alas, the WWE Universe just doesn’t seem to care. It happens. It’s a popularity contest in the end and Andrade just wasn’t that popular. Not sure that’s gonna change back at AEW but he should be more generally appreciate...
