RAW Will See If It Can Improve Upon a New Model...
How Are You
Doing, Enthusiasts?
These are
some unique times I have to say. Rite
Aid proved to be a God send as I was finally able to buy a carton of eggs. It’s nuts out here! Everyone is preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse
with this Coronavirus lockdown. I don’t
have any point of reference in my memory banks.
This is different. Yet, I don’t
really mind working from home, though. That
has been the most relaxing aspect of these times. You might as well lounge
around and see what kind of content your streaming services have to offer. One thing we shouldn’t be short on is
something to watch.
On that
subject, RAW will press on at the
Orlando performance center and it will be interesting what they come up with
for 3 hours. SmackDown was an interesting exercise that proved to satisfy curiosity
more than I could call it a solid show so, hopefully they take the notes from
that evening to heart. All I’m thinking
is that since there’s no audience to perform to, they should probably rethink
their format structure. Put the show on
in a way that doesn’t require the audience.
This is why I thought there would be a lot of backstage segments and Kayfabe
bits because that at least acknowledges the circumstances as opposed to
proceeding as if everything is normal.
It’s too obvious that they aren’t and the WWE shouldn’t try to hide
this. We’re in this together whether we
like it or not. There are some realities
even the WWE Universe has to acknowledge.
Admitting the situation allows us to see that the WWE is able to relate
to the common public and isn’t too dedicated to maintaining a distorted
reality. They can have fun with it and
they should. The bulk of us will be
tuning in for a bit of an escape but we don’t need to cascade into
delusion. Let’s see if the WWE knows how
to make the proverbial “lemonade” with the circumstances. Approach this effectively and we won’t be
able to wait for WrestleMania, just for the social interaction.
I do hope
that they go ahead with it as planned. People can sign waivers or
something. They can accept the risk. I suppose a temperature check at the door
wouldn’t hurt either if they can create a swift and efficient procedure. I’m not in favor of spreading this disease
but given the nature of it, we shouldn’t live in fear of it either. We may have to bite the bullet and risk
developing our own antibodies to this thing.
We have to prompt our bodies to survive sometimes. That’s what prompts evolution. As They say, what doesn’t kill you makes you
stronger. Let’s see if we can assist
each other through this. Funny tweets
get retweeted and since this is such an experimental time, be kind. Again, it’s hard to say what anyone would
come up with under these circumstances. Let’s
be encouraging with the stuff that works and if one must make note of a misstep,
do so in the vein of constructive criticism.
Everyone has something to deal with right now, give people a break.
See You in
a Bit,
-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
