SmackDown Hopes to Excuse the WWE's Negligence

What’s Going on, Enthusiasts?

Starting to creep back outside?  Seeing how you like this “New Normal”?  Meh, I’m just ready to leave the mask behind but I don’t think that’s gonna end any time soon.  Anyway, so, life in the WWE Universe well, there apparently has been some upheaval and rumored animosity amidst the ranks.  So, word is Paul Heyman has been removed from the RAW Creative Team and both RAW & SmackDown have been consolidated under Head Writer Bruce Prichard.  We’ll see if this is an improvement but to be honest I only half buy it.  Same goes for the news about Heyman and Mr. Vince McMahon not liking each other right now.  I’m sure they’re not snipping at each other anymore than usual but…I do like where it can lead in terms of drama.  I’m sure Heyman will still help with Creative, it can’t hurt and they need shit to work.  I’m glad that they’re finally taking a hard look at the Creative Team because given recent years’ content, it’s hard to say they ever knew what they were doing.  Now, there’s potentially hope.  I think it’s all good but we will see.

All right, moving along, for tonight’s SmackDown Daniel Bryan & AJ Styles battle over the “vacant” Intercontinental Title, to give a sense of why the Creative changes happened.  Why is a Title match on the Go Home Show?  Though they do this in this case, it’s like they forgot the PPV was taped and are going along as business is usual.  Too used to working in real time.  Anyway, we’ll have the customary 6-Man-Tag.  Word is that Tucker gets some air time so Otis must be around.  Besides that we have Jeff Hardy’s and Sheamus’ contract signing.  We’ll see if they make it worth watching.  Having the usual brawl in this instance comes off stupid given the bullshit set-up.  We’ll see how they handle it.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites well…you see what’s going on.  Don’t expect much.  People are distracted.

See You in a Bit,
