Well...SmackDown Has a Show...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!

Is it treating you well?  Staying healthy?  I hope so.  Well, let’s dive right in, shall we.  So, the big news is that the soft re-opening of the WWE to the public mildly backfired as Renée Young among others have gone and caught the COVID.  It’s too bad.  I hope they’re asymptomatic or at least mild cases.  We all love Ms. Young and Mr. Jon Moxley and will always wish them well.  Personally, I hope for the day Moxley returns to the WWE Universe but I understand his need to explore.  I hope they’re both happy.

In any case as for tonight’s SmackDown we may have to be prepared for a crappy show.  With current allegations circulating and sudden illness falling, they may have scrapped previously scheduled content.   That may be why we’re now going to celebrate the re-retiring of The UnderTaker.   I have no problem with the man but I’ve made it clear that I never got him.  He’s an imposing figure enough but the whole gimmick never landed with me.  Seemed a little preposterous given how this stuff was supposed to be real.  That sort of gimmick just confirms it's not but, people like that sort of stuff and I can’t really talk against his legacy.  The hope of his making an appearance may drag in some ratings.  There’s also speculation that they may replay the Boneyard Match.  I think that it’s safe to say that the WWE Universe doesn’t particularly care for history.  We’ll acknowledge legacies and key points in WWE history, but for the most part, the WWE Universe is all about what’s going on now.  Just ask yourself, what happened a month ago?...... See, barely remember.  It’s old news and in the WWE Universe that gets chucked the next day or week.  Don’t expect too many to hang around if that’s the go-to.  Sheamus will try to salvage his little program with Jeff Hardy and Drew Gulak may be put to work to offer us some honest wrestling fare.   We’ll see what we get.  Funny tweets get retweeted and as for Likes/Favorites, well, you see what’s going on.  Don’t hold back but don’t go out of your way.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
