RAW Has Got Some Time. How About You...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Anything interesting going on? Well, there’s a little bit going on but I’m just gonna wrap up the CM Punk business and get into tonight’s No Man’s Land RAW action.

So, after all the hubbub, Punk is out with a torn triceps for about 8 months and there it is. The “hiatus” so everyone can decide what to do with this fiasco. Well, if AEW is the kinder, gentler wrestling promotion, they won’t fire him while he recovers. I would think they would at least give him time to recover and potentially explain himself. Then they’ll decide what to do with him.

On the other hand, in this down time, WWE could enter the picture. Yet, I don’t think they’d seek to acquire him as is. He’s probably going to have to make some sort of amends so he’s not just complete damaged goods. Yet, they may be able to negotiate themselves a “fair deal” given that’s what Punk did to himself.

Also, there’s the possibility that Punk goes “Fuck it!” and retires. He’s not that old but old enough for this business. Personally, I wouldn’t want to go out on a note like this, but I can just as easily see Punk not wanting to have to placate anybody. We’ll see what happens. Check back next May – June.

In other news, Roman Reigns is getting some outside publicity as ESPN analyst and former quarterback Dan Orlovsky has pledged his allegiance to the Tribal Chief. It’s all in good fun as Orlovsky did his part on a recent First Take. It’s always nice to see the WWE Universe spill out into the real world. They need to always take note of that. This type of entertainment could serve a social purpose if they just put some thought into it. I think they will eventually if they really aim for longevity.

But that’s just conjecture as of now. In the meantime, we have a few weeks of No Man’s Land action as WWE prepares us for Extreme Rules next month. Tonight, the Women’s RAW Tag Team Championships are put on the line as Bayley’s faction, Damage CTRL, comes after Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez. Johnny Gargano sees what it’s like to get in the ring and wrestle again. And Dominik Mysterio shows us he’s all grown up now. Funny tweets and Likes get retweeted. Might as well have fun out there. We’re coasting until next month.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
