SmackDown Wraps Up Elimination Chamber Fallout...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

It’s a rainy one over here in Southern California. I’m rained in for the next couple of days so, all I have to do is hope the power doesn’t go out and I should be fine. Hope everyone is staying warm and dry. As for the Wrestling World, meh, there have been more exciting weeks but that doesn’t mean I couldn’t find something to talk about. Let’s have a little chat.

It appears Jeff Hardy has received his consequences for his DUI last year. He got slapped with a decent fine, court fees and his driver’s license is suspended for the next 10 years. It was his 3rd DUI offense in the past 10 years so, it could be viewed as a somewhat lenient punishment. Sounds like he’ll also have to go to rehab and perform some community service.

It’s probably best that Hardy takes this time to get healthy and contemplate the future. General consensus is that he’s pretty beat up from all his years of wrasslin’ so he should probably get in shape, get clean and assess how he wants to go out and with whom. AEW has him under contract for now and they have to decide how they want to proceed with him.

I’m not sure if a return to WWE is far fetched but I don’t doubt it could be finagled. It’s all up to him. He has to take that long hard look into the mirror and see what he wants to do with himself. All that seems clear to me is that he shouldn’t go out on a down note. I missed the best Hardy years but I know he’s definitely the Charismatic Enigma he’s always been said to be. He should go out in a more befitting way and with his head held high. Let’s hope he gets to do that.

In the WWE Universe, we got some insight into the new “Michin” moniker for Mia Yim. Given how she spoke about it, it doesn’t sound like it was her idea, so that may be the problem right there. She needs to embrace it to a certain degree if she’s gonna keep it so she needs to think about this. Being “crazy” needs to be backed up here. You see Nikki Cross out there losing it. We all know Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose takes it to 11. I have yet to see that sort of spark from Yim. Now, I don’t need her running around deranged. I’m all for a “perfect storm” brewing that takes her over the edge. However they do it, Yim has got to have fun with it. Perhaps she and creative have to have a little sit-down and pick her brain for any outrageous stories she’s sitting on. She’s gotta go nuts if she’s “crazy” so, they need to figure out what takes her there and keeps a smile on her face. It can be done. Let’s see if they do it.

That’s about all that I found worth talking about. There’s plenty to go on about but this is the stuff that stuck out for me. As for tonight’s SmackDown, a showdown between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley is the draw as we do the slow burn for WrestleMania. We’re also set for a 6-Man-Tag as MadCap Moss joins Braun Strowman and Ricochet to face Imperium. Bray Wyatt will have a session of the Firefly Fun House and Rey Mysterio will stay ring ready courtesy of Karrion Kross as they continue to beef over something. The ratings may be a bit up on the West Coast since weather has us stuck inside. I plan to make the most of it. Feel free to join me on Twitter. Got nothing to lose.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
